This account is dedicated to some of the amazing videos I have captured while traveling. I also an ultra runner and endurance athlete who loves to share my adventures. Hope you enjoy and share with your friends!
Snorkeling at Mambo Beach in Curacao
Mambo Beach is a man-made stretch of beach. I wasn't really expecting to see much here. It is a little cloudy compared to other snorkeling spots on the island, but I was pleasantly surprised to find 2 Scorpion fish hiding amongst the rocks. Hope you enjoy the video!

Interesting sea life in Curacao

A few short clips of some of the interesting sea life I spotted while snorkeling in Curacao.
Small crab hiding in sand
Переглядів 755 місяців тому
I am not sure what type of crab this is, but I love finding these. The fish friend didn't do the crab any favors, making it fairly easy for me to spot. Despite burying itself in the sand, they usually are only a few inches deep and can be dug out rather quickly.
Turtles in Curacao
Переглядів 2565 місяців тому
Made a compilation of the footage I managed to take of the multiple sea turtles at Playa Grandi beach in Curacao. The locals feed the turtles from the dock, so they usually can be found within 100 yards of the boat dock. Sad to see them exploited like that by the locals. They are magnificent creatures and so fun to watch.
Snorkeling with Pelican

This Pelican decided to swim right past us while we were playing in the water. Decided to get some interesting footage of it from above and below the water. Surprised at how tame it was considering I took this video with my wide angle go pro and could almost touch it.
Cas Abao Snorkeling in Curacao

This is rated one of the most scenic beaches in Curacao and in the Carribean. While the white sands and clear waters are great, there wasn't as much to see unless you could make it out to the drop off or were prepared to scuba dive. My experience was a little limited due to having a head cold for a week before this trip. Still had a fun time here though!
First Day Snorkeling Curacao
Переглядів 105 місяців тому
Our Air BnB had a small beach into the local bay. Our place was part of the Spanish waters area near Jan Thiel in Curacao. The water quality was much less clear here than other places, but I still like to explore new areas. Sometimes you can be very surprised at what you find.

Some of the footage I caught at Playa Grandi in Curacao. This place is one of the most popular places to spot sea turtles. This is mainly because there are locals who feed them from the dock.
Snorkeling with Octopus in Curacao
Переглядів 745 місяців тому
Spotted this little octopus near the shore at the very popular beach Playa Grandi in Curacao. There were dozens of people in this area and I doubt anyone else even saw this guy. Was trying to be gentle with it and was hoping it would let me hold if for a bit. Still a cool experience!

Run around Washington State (Whidbey Island)
Is that Duck Creek where it crosses the JMT a few hundred feet north of where the Duck Pass trail intersects with the JMT?
No need to add s to the SIERRA a single mountain range! Thanks for a nice video!
We did this hike when I was about 15 and it was about a 8 hour trip up and back down so you have to be in pretty good shape and be prepared. Things can change quickly in the mountains and there is a lot of awkward footings especially where you have to walk over the waterfall. Thanks for bringing back many memories of that trip. I am the only one still alive of the 6 of us who went there. I can still remember a lot of it and this video helped.
Awesome work this an awesome race thanks for posting
Excellent video Josh! I was able to get a really good idea of the course from this and have put Ventura on my very short list of potential fulls to run in 2025.
Glad to hear it was helpful. This is a great course for someone trying to PR. It is one of the top BQ races. Good luck witb your races and training
Great video. Will be trying out this exact pace in two weeks at the Ventura Marathon. Trying to BQ for the first time. Any tips?
The course starts off fairly flat with a slight incline on parts of the loop before you start the bike path. There is a nice gradual downhill after about mile 11 that will let you catch up or even bank a little time. It flattens out in the last 6 miles and when you are sore and tired, it tends to feel like a slight uphill. Try to save a little for this last part. I find that I run better when running by effort and not strictly by pace. If you want to run an 8 minute mile average, let your pace slow on the uphills to like 8:10 or 8:15 and then make it up on the gentle downills by running loke 7:45. You tend to not burn out as easily this way and doesn't cause such a large build up of lactic acid in the muscles. I will be pacing the 3:30 group this year, so come say hi!
@@JoshuaASharp Thanks for these great tips! Will make sure to say hi at the start.
Great video. Congrats
this is amazing
packs look heavy
What was your peak mileage per week and longest run in the weeks leading up to this? Thx
I do a variety of training. I am mostly interested in ultra training. I honestly don't remember my mileage, but often times I average around 50 miles a week with my longest runs specially for marathon training being around 20 miles close to race pace the whole time. For ultras, I usually run back to back days. Often I will do a slow 30 mile run, followed with a 20 miler again slow. Those weeks are more like 70-80 miles weeks. Sometimes I will alternate a bike ride in place of the run during the middle of the week.
goals
how did you get your bib on the sunday,
You can pay extra for them to have it at the start line. I believe when you register, there is an option for it. I believe it is $20 extra. I am local for this marathon and just picked it up on Saturday instead
Leave music out.
May i ask where these are?
These are near Lancaster, CA just outside of the official Antelope Valley Poppies preserve. Anytime California gets more than usual amount of rain for the season, you tend to have Superblooms like this one.
Looks amazing, thanks for sharing this!
Thank you for that. I just inherited a 1920 roadster and a 1927 tourer from my Dad. Never really cared much for either one of them, but now that they are in my shop the tourer is growing on me, so I'm watching model T videos trying to figure it out.
How were the mosquitoes?
This time of the year we didn't see any. It was nice temperatures too, but expect high possibility for rain showers. Most of them were brief but rather heavy showers
@@JoshuaASharp thank you!
No oil, fuel or water pumps, amazing. Your Father’s a clever fella. Thx for posting 🍻
Looks like you are having fun. Enjoy every minute of it.
"I'm gonna kick your butt"
I love the starfish 😍😍😍😍⭐⭐⭐⭐
Stunning! I love how peaceful and free he seems to be. I can't believe how close you were to him!
So amazing! A whole new world under the water.
May i ask what type or model of drone you used on this video?
I have the DJI Mini 2. It is one of a few drones that are under 250 grams, so it doesn't require a special license unless it is used for anything other than recreational purposes
I want to do this. Is it going on this year? Where do you meet for it?
Beast!
Thank You for the video! I imagine it took A LOT of people down their very own MEMMORY LANE!! It did me! BLESSINGS!!!!

love it! you actually do a great service by posting this because other runners get to see the course and decide if it's the right race for them. Do you think is a good race to try a sub 3hrs? and I don't see that many hydration stations, did you felt at any time that you needed more? Thanks!!
This course had to be modified from previous versions due to issues with permits and road closures. Hopefully the 2023 version will be the same as the pre-covid route that ends near the mission in Ventura. This course was my current PR (2:55:42) when I was finishing before around the 3:02 time on other courses. I believe the pre-covid route is the fastest marathon course in the area.
There are plenty of water stations during the race, I just didn't record all of them in the video due to limited storage and battery in my camera. Hope you come run this. It is a great event
I thought it looked a bit different. Nicer grille and headlights.
Awesome video
Cool video but the soundtrack sucks. The sound of the waves breaking would have been much better than adding a soundtrack.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the drone doesn't record sound since the motor would be too loud. I didn't have any stock sounds of the ocean and you have to pay for premium songs. I just do these for fun and was mostly focused on the video footage. I am always open to feedback to help my videos improve. Thanks
Wonderful couple!!!!
Wonderful man.
Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it
Great video man, I was born and raised in Oxnard, port hueneme until I moved in 97' to Bakersfield and boy do I miss it. I will be going there this coming October so I'm excited seeing this video.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
More engine, less music
Really cool video!
Nice I made this from the camp host site. ua-cam.com/video/yf8tUz_uZ-U/v-deo.html
Please kill the weird music! Nice car!
I'd love to have a Model A someday. Ts are... a little TOO primitive, even for me. An A drives just like a regular manual car, minus the spark lever.
I agree, they are more difficult to drive. My Dad also has a 1929 and a 1930 Model A, but one is getting bodywork and painting. The second youngest granddaughter has already told everyone that it is her car, so it is parked at her house most of the time!
Those are beautiful memories you made with your dad. 🥰
The music made this post boring. Needed to her her run, shift through the gears to get a real feel of er...I can listen to the radio anytime!
Thanks for the feedback. I am still learning my style for making videos. This one was filmed several years ago when I was still learning how to edit videos
Amazing video and a true testament to love. "I want you to be a part of my life forever"...that got me choked up! 🥲
I was pleasantly surprised that my parents agreed to be interviewed. There was a lot of their story that I had never heard before this. I mainly made this as a slide show presentation for their 50th Wedding Anniversary, but didn't want it to be like a funeral video.
Fantastic video of such a wonderful, loving family!
Thank you so much!
When on the High Trail, the lake you see across the valley is Shadow Lake.
Thanks. I am still relatively new to this area. I appreciate the feedback
@@JoshuaASharp Keep exploring my friend
Such a cute group of fish 💕
Hard to view in parts with camera facing sun.
Nicely done! Great race and time!
