Nah he had me dead to rights if it was for end of turn scoring. Especially in this mission where each point is 15 points. I felt on the back foot the entire game, especially since a double waaagh. Failed charges helped a lot.

@@reconbyfire73 Ah fair enough I find it hard to root for someone in 40K games because it's always unfortunate seeing stuff like the charges fail but at the same time that helps the Knights I'm watching. I have to say though I didn't think Orks would give you your closest game that I've seen, awesome stuff regardless!

I do appreciate the support 100%, I just like to give credit where credit is due. After all we are all here to get better and have fun doing it.

@@reconbyfire73 Very true, it's unlucky your opponents dice failed him because his tactics were sound but as I've observed so far, thats just how these games go sometimes. But yeah like you said, great plays from him too, can't wait to see more!

I play Grey Knights as well so I know how difficult 9" charges are lol. So I made it a point to make sure I premeasured any potential charges before I moved my Armingers. Though those dual charges wrecked my world lol

I came straight into 40K and haven't varied since other than expanding my armies. Though one of our players started in kill team. What do you think of the new... edition?

@@reconbyfire73 I know that a bunch of older teams are being pushed out and some people aren't happy but I saw that they are adding a new 30 something teams I think? I'm chilling with some new necrons (anything I buy is new for me I suppose 😂) but yeah positive change overall I think. I definitely like elite armies but the appeal of a team with like 20 miniatures cannot be underestimated either, your troops matter more and despite the delicate balance with keeping them alive and winning I still find that it's much more fun to push out and play riskily!

Yeah, having the models you spent time and money on and are attached to just up and disappear all of the sudden it not pleasant. I am still new to warhammer to can't say I've experienced that yet, but it's not something I'm looking forward to. It does sound like it's an entirely different game, but still has some intricate game play as well though.

@@reconbyfire73 From watching your videos there are different mechanics, especially melee combat and points because the number of points you can score goes from tens of them to perhaps ten at most. And while I don't doubt that your models being out phased sucks, I also think it'd make a cool archive of memories for anyone experiencing it as they get a first hand look at how their painting and design skills have improved. Other than that though, I'm really enjoying going back and watching your battle reports and I'm gonna be enjoying any new ones too no doubt.

That is a really good point though. I am getting to the point now that my painting skills are better than when I started. So I keep going back and forth on whether to strip and repaint older knights or not. Looking at my Armingers though you can definitely tell which were painted more recently lol

I agree, I do think if you bring one it should have the claw. I did bring it one game and it was alright, the fact that its 10 points more is the hard selling point.

I'm all about the heavies so if I did Necrons it would be all Ctans, destroyers, and monoliths, if I did works it would be every mech I could fit into 2000 points lol So my advice is due the one you think has the most longevity for you! Less time on the shelf and more game time, means more fun.

@@reconbyfire73 I've got a friend to help me, I've realised what an adventure I have ahead of me because I saw a video that was all about building a knight in less than 24 hours as part of a challenge for an experienced builder. So for me, I'm certainly going to be taking my time 😂

oh! No worries. I haven't had an issue with them at all honestly. Everyone at my local store is ok with them and even complimented a few. I also make sure to send photos and ask every TO ahead of time before a tournament, and have been approved every time.

Lancer cannot advance and charge. The bondsman only work for the armiger, not the big knight. This is since a year.

Solid catch, thanks for making sure they understood the interaction! Though I will say I have been able to sneak in a T1 charge with a lancer sometimes between 14” movement and going through walls.

That’s honestly a really solid take. Putting Canis on that side would have push him forward quite a bit with the only threat being Morven if he moved up the center. I still would have been able to move block with a Arminger as well. Then maybe have two Armingers on the north side to push along those crates. I had intentions of putting a warglaive up there but as I mentioned forgot to keep it in reserves. I appreciate the advice, definitely learning each match.

Thanks for the feedback! We definitely have one for the longer battle reports. For the short forms the dice rolling takes up a good chunk of time that would make it difficult to keep run time down. We will make sure they are included in the long form though!

@nCedric1 welcome to the Knights! They are such a fun faction to play and people can really struggle to deal with them but there are draw backs. They need to play slightly defensive since you only have a 5 to 7 models so swarming armies can be very hard to deal with but nearly ever weapon in your army is considered a big weapon so and besides the stubbers nearly everything is s9 or higher so wounding nearly every troop in the game on 2s (most troops are t3 or t4). Also don't be worried about asking your opponent what his armor and invulnerable saves are and toughness even if you have asked before. Confirm your targets and what's shooting what before you start to shoot. Also if you go up against melee armies use a armiger in front of the bigger knight so they are forced to charge it instead of the big boys but keep them 3.2inchs behind so they can't consolidate into it. Then tank shock for 1cp when you charge in.
