Enclosing deck stairs project. Tools I used were table saw, chop saw and a finishing nailer. You could cut everything with a circular saw and hand nail if you didn't have tools. A great way to save garage space and money is to simply borrow tools or buy them on facebook market place and then resale the tools when you are done.

Ok gonna try something similar. Gonna use .5mm plastic card and super glue on a high stress part. Have it all washed and now drying on my table. Want the pieces to be room temp to avoid condensation. Thanks for the vid.
You seem to be working in hot direct sunlight. Big no no
Yes thanks for the tip. I’m going to try it again next week. I’ll redo video if that is the issue Hopefully it is. Would love to be able to Spray and rinse
Could of picked a better brand of tequila
Thanks! Great little tip for those of us looking for a quick, easy fix. Forget the naysayers, this worked perfect for my little touch-up. Guess I'm lucky mine wasn't load-bearing paint HAHA
Oh I suffer from those thumb cracks during winter 😕 That Vicks was always at hand when my grandmother lived with us. My dear Mexican Grandma believed heart and soul in Vicks. It was the cure for all manner of ailments.
Just wanted to double-check my work, thank you!
hi sir where did u buy he wood beam? home depot, ac hardware or lowe’s?
@@calving233 He actually got it from an individual that he works with. Facebook marketplace is a great place to find materials like that. Cost should be around $100
Do you have a pressure tank? Maybe the more succinct question is: Does the pump wear out faster with no pressure tank to manage the pump cycling on and off? Thank you!
@@DavidAbbott-y1m I don’t have a pressure tank. Good question! That’s way above my brain bank.
Thanks. So much better than twine.
Nice video thank you
Wow, that's awesome. Thanks for sharing this. I need to make this tree border mold because they don't sell them anymore. May I ask; was 1 jar of the latex enough for this project, or did you have to use more?
One jar I believe was enough. A lot of it depends on how many layers you do
i do the same thing, 👍 you can take another little piece or two of 1x and reach down from above the tv and screw in a lock piece into the wall, once your wired up if you want
❤❤❤❤😮😮
PSA if you’re watching this after Hurricane Beryl, do not use metal wire, only twine, the city of Houston will not pick if found metal on your bundles…
@@danielfam27 thank you for that information
Does it have to be Dawn or can it be any dishwashing detergent?
@@sina8883 it can be really any dish soap
Thank you.
Thanks!😂
i don't know why they learn other to use not the right materials if because it's cheaper this is not dream anymore i have a dream
Thank you! My builder left me with a bubbling door so I’ll be using this video to fix it!
Do you still have this vac and if so have you had to replace or repair the motor as of yet? thanks
Don't clean the windows with the sun shining on them. Might help.
Good tip. I always forget that. Seems like the only time I have to clean the windows is in the morning while they are facing east. I’ll try it again and see if I get better results. I hope that works
Ok so this will only cover the Color and not matching the texture. I had this same issue a couple times and learned how to fix it more properly. First, thin down your joint compound by like a lot. Don’t put it on thick. Use the tip of a 2 inch paint brush to dap on the patch. You may need a few coats for full coverage. The goal is to keep the patch as flat as possible. And if you want a perfect fix, Buy some popcorn texture from Home Depot, usually less than $20. Thin that down again and get some material on the paint brush, now, instead of dapping, you’ll flick the tip of the brush to have the spray on effect like using a hopper. This should get you a very close match to the original finish.
Blah blah blah
Thanks. We’ve been cutting tree branches and bushes for weeks now and the town has been taking it no problem until recently we got a sticker notice on one of the branches at the curb saying it has to be tied up and less than six feet so now I’m on UA-cam learning how to properly prepare it for waste pick up 😅
I like the honesty of how it worked
What's "cheating" about vanilla extract?
Nothing. It’s just a phrase I use when yo”I don’t make the original recipe and add something.
This guy has no idea what he’s doing. That would not work on a larger area. I do this for a living and this is not how you do it. Use drywall compound and mix your paint in the compound to thin it out and match color. Get a stab brush for local hardware store. Harry homeowner this will work for but it’s not the correct way. As soon as someone slams a door hard that crap will fall out unless he gets lucky.
Thanks for the feedback. Five minute fix and going on five years and counting. Not sure why a small dab lightly brushed on would fall. Just covering color not correcting texture
This is obv for small touch-ups, why do you assume he meant to use this technique for larger areas? Sure, your process is prob the correct way to do things but it's way overkill for most tiny paint mess-ups.
Thanks for this info
That’s great. I’m trying to do the same thing but the holes that I put in my French cleat that mounts to the TV itself, is crooked. So the piece of wood is crooked that is mounted on the TV. How did you reference the screw holes?
I set the piece of wood parallel to the tv screw holes. Marked the top of the wood where the screw holes were. Then I came down to the center of the wood below the marks. I also measure how many inches from one tv hole to the other. Center to center to double check it. Does that make sense?
@@alwayslearningdiy it does. Thank you for the explanation!
The second bow coming through is it a single bow or a double bow please?
Single bow but looped twice around the first bow
Damn, so obvious too. Thanks for the tip!
I’ve used this stuff for the last couple of years and find it works pretty good with almost no effort. Do not wash your windows with the sun shining on them. Do not let the windex soap dry on your windows. Of course this video shows the residue left on the windows, the sun was baking it right on.
Okay that’s good info. I’ll try it again
Buddy slow up don’t get nervous and rush. Thanks for your video.
Wheat is the product you are using. As I tried to touch up the paintwork with white paint and it dried grey?
Fast N Final there is an Amazon link in the video description. Thank you
Sweet! One of the side trays in my fridge just cracked pretty badly. Hopefully this works!
I used water from the garage sink that goes through a water softener and got the exact same result. Windows looked better before the wash.
Awesome work! My dream house has awkward windows! Just want to patch a few! This was super simple to understand. I’m confident my husband and I can do this!
Thank you for this easy too follow video
Green-side up men!
That’s the best!
Can you provide an update on the squirrel population 7 months after this video? Trying to get an idea on how fast they move back in after trapping. Thank you, sir
Thanks for the question. So I removed 11 total live squirrels and then took the winter off. I don’t want to move them without a home/nest built. I just resumed trapping. I have caught one and surmise or guesstimated that I have 3 more to catch. Maybe as many as 4. The trap mechanism isn’t working as well as when I first started. So the squirrels are getting the food and away. I plan to have the 3-4 catch and moved in the next two weeks.
Game changer for ground hunting long hours while staying mobile yet comfortable. 👍👍
So did you find a solution since posting this ? Wow I used 30 second window cleaner and it did the same thing. Disappointed , in reading the company stated a window is considered clean even if it has hard water spots because the hard water spots are a different issue that needs something different to fix. Crazy I know …Homeowners do not see it that way at all.
Razor blade with water scale remover by norwex Water plus vinegar plus Dawn for regular dirty windows
@@alwayslearningdiy no , Did you use a razor blade & Norwex on the same big window in your video ? Btw very pretty yard ☺️
@@Ghost_png_ Thank you. Had to tear out the whole yard and walk way to put in a pool. No I did not . I only did the razor on the lower windows where the well water had sprayed
@@alwayslearningdiy what did you wind up doing for the big window Norwex spray only then
@@Ghost_png_ a little dawn, a little vinegar and hot water Then squeegee
Nice work! I have to do a similar job soon where previous home owner had a window shaker A/C unit installed right through into the master bedroom..and then vinyl sided around it.
I wish someone would make a video on how to do this but only the bottom half of the window. The house my wife and I want has a huge kitchen window, we want to just basically do this to the bottom half but keep the top half of the window
Same situation at our house. We want to put built in shelves around the fireplace. We have the huge window with a small on on top. It would make it so much nicer if we didn’t have to go around the windows. I’m a little surprised they didn’t put wrapping on before putting the siding back on in this video.
at the beginning of your video, you're holding your new disposal, and the top metal locking flange you are able to turn that freely... i just bought mine, and that top metal piece is only able to twist about 1/2 or 1/4 inch back and forth, it doesnt turn freely like yours. how did you get yours to twist more than a 1/4 inch ? thanks, mike k.
You should be able to rotate it off. Once you line the flange up with the grooves and the tabs. You might need to loosen the bolts on the flange a bit or you might have a piece that needs to be removed to allow the flange to rotate
@@alwayslearningdiy i'm talking about the very first part of your video... you're holding the disposal unit... at the very top of that is the metal ring that locks into place under the sink... on mine, that thing doesnt spin around and around... yours did.... how did you get yours to spin around and around ?
Is your disposal the same brand? Some brands may be different. If it’s the same type then I don’t know why it doesn’t. Probably doesn’t matter that much. You will just need to make sure you align the disposal the best you can prior to trying to rotate it into place.
Yeah because if i don't have a humidifier with me I'll have that. Thanks Gary
Thank you
I love that you can put all the ingredients right in the pan, mix it up and bake it, I love cast!
I have a better one. You just tie a simple knot, and then keep repeating until there's no more lace left to knot. Won't ever come undone even if you try to undo them. Beat that.
Velcro…
What is this "other" bow you speak of?
