@@theophicen7850 first of all thanks for the support. And yes I also think it’s quite a nice set, tho the Lego specific minifigures are really useless. Also being able to switch the wings is silly. Besides that both builds are in minifigure scale and look pretty good. Unpopular opinion: due to them being in the right scale and the optimized details I think they’re the best tie fighter and xwing we got.

@@sebiirimia6686 thanks. But the two clone troopers make it so insanely expensive. Got lucky and got it for about half the price because the box was missing but all bags were still sealed.

@ The Y-Wing will be coming up on this channel soon. I already have it, just need to build it. Kind of undecided on the clone turbo tank, while currently the 2010 version is definitely the one to go with, I’m still kind of hoping for them to release a bigger or at least more accurate version in the future.

Thank you very much for your support. And yes, it's a really cool set. I'm always browsing through bricklink, ebay and ebay kleinanzeigen to look out for the best deal for these old sets. But they are still expensive often times, even if you catch the cheapest deal.

Absolutely, god it on ebay for 80 bucks, which is pretty good as brickeconomy lists it being worth 127€ brandnew. So it was quite a good deal and i really have to agree that the set is absolutely phenomenal, i don't know why it's not as loved as it should be.

Thanks. And yes you're right. It was quite costly to get, but I'm always trying to get the best deal i can find. Cost me 82,40€ on ebay including shipping. One of the lesser good deals i could find, but i guess still okayish for what you can pay for this set.

Seen some great sets. Especially love the 2019 Slave 1. I built it before i started filming videos, but it has become one of my absolute top sets. Hard to beat, was so much fun to build and looks simply perfect.

Btw i got it by buying the parts from the Lego Pick a Brick website and the rest from Bricklink. It was quite expensive, as there are some rare parts that are costly, i just bought these used (still expensive) from Bricklink, whatever now its only 99% new parts i guess. But it took hours and hours of going through the instructionmanual-pdf and looking for the parts, as many parts have changed partnumbers over the years.I mean besides a few rare parts theres not even special, expensive minifigures in this set, just normal droids, so overall its quite feasible to get this set by buying the parts together. And this set brandnew, sealed in box is around 1000€, maybe even higher, which is absurd, the way i did it it cost me probably around 250-320€ maybe. Which is still crazy but maybe 1/3 or less of that price. And its all (besides very few used Bricklinkparts) new parts, most of them from lego pick a brick site, even fresh from the factory. I did that "trick" for a few sets now, also the Geonosian Starfighter and the Seperatist Shuttle. Sometimes its cheaper to do it that way, buy the orignal Lego parts, buy the original Minifigures off of Bricklink + some parts that arent available anymore + buy a new,original stickersheet and youve got the set. All original parts, all or nearly all new but often much cheaper. Ive got 4 more sets that ill build soon that way: Dookus SolarSailer, Anakins Y-Wing, V-19 and Republic Assault Shuttle. All these would have been insanely more expensive when buying sealed in box. But it really depends on the set and price of parts/minifigures/sticker sheet, most sets are cheaper to just get sealed but for some its worth it.

Really? Which set number/ from which year was it?? Btw i bought this one twice. Got it at a great deal at the start of the year from "ebay kleinanzeigen" (website where people sell their used stuff but some also sell sealed Lego) but got scammed. So i literally bought it twice! Which sucked!

Oh this is a new Set! It's not like one from the old days, that's discontinued, it's on the shelves right now, from 2023. Theres currently 3 indiana jones sets on the market, but i think theyre about to be discontinued very soon. But that's why i bought it, i got it at a good discount 30% or so off, and this one is a brilliant value set anyways. I bought it for the parts actually, thats why i didn't add any stickers. So if you think its cool, it's still out there, tomorrow or today, depending on where youre from, it might be heavily discounted on the amazon prime day (08.10.2024).

@@Backtothezack Did you have it as a child or always wanted it? I remember seeing it in the Lego catalogue back in the days and kind of wanting it. Now that ive got it i thought huh it kind of didn‘t age as amazing as other sets, as you can see the building techniques used to make it , without them being covered up too well. But now that i built it i have to see, I really like it much much more than i would have thought. It looks absolutely amazing tbh and is a great set from the past.

That one was actually a super low deal. Got it on ebay and there wasn't any box included. So it was the still sealed bags and orignal sticker sheet but no box, which means i got really cheap.

@@gren_3352 I get most of them from a website called “eBay Kleinanzeigen” i think it only exists in germany, i might be wrong about that tho. It’s specifically made for private sellers that can resell their old stuff. But as you can see you’re also gonna be able to find still sealed, brand new Lego Sets on there, from private sellers. It’s mostly the cheapest way to find these old sets, but you have to scavenge through a lot of offers and often you have to be lucky to get a good deal. So it’s still pretty expensive, I think this particular set cost me around 180€ if i remember correctly, on Brickeconomy its listed as 270€ when still originally sealed, so i guess in comparison to that it was a good deal.
