scenery? SCENE!!!!
George reminds me of Trump. Those guys think that the rules don’t apply to them.
Such a brilliant piece of cinema and acting.. and you think about Trump. TDS is real.
@@mehernoshmanekshaw7180 In no way did I ruin the acting by my comments. If anything, I promoted Pacino by giving a real life example of how true his words were that were spoken. I don’t have TDS. Trump thinks that rules don’t apply to him. I mean, look at him. He made comments about John McCain by saying about McCain, “I don’t like people that were captured.” I don’t care if Trump is a satirist like Howard Stern. There’re just some things you don’t joke about.

Also when Frank Slade talked about how someone tried to buy it, Mr. Trask pounded The Gavel, I think he was scared he'd be told on.
I love the fact that the most decorated part of the dean's speech, which was the opening actually unintentionally got totally ruined and forgotten because of the sudden appearance of the colonel.
Even Frank Slade warned Charlie that those guys wouldn't help him. He was nothing but a Charity Case in their eyes, and "Big George" got "Little George" to sing like a canary and he pretty much did.
I never tire of watching this sequence.
I also feel that he had more control over Charlie telling what he knew because while the other three came from bank and were untouchable in many ways, Charlie was Scholarship, he didn't have the same juice that they had. Who knows, maybe The Fathers of the three may have written some checks to the school.
Probably 🤔

Is Baird supposed to be Harvard?
No but it has strong ties to Harvard.
@@laminageIf they said it was Harvard, they’d be sued.
@photografr7 😮 Really why.
@@laminage Because there are things you can say and things you can’t say. If you don’t understand, I can’t help you.
@@laminage Because we live in a litigious country. If you CAN sue, you WILL sue.
Baird takes place in Boston which is the Home of Harvard that Prince Hamzah of Jordan attended who gave up his title. He met his former first wife who was a student at Boston College. Many members of Jordan's Royal Family attended Georgetown, most notably Crown Prince Hussein and his younger brother Hashem. 😊
Al Pacino, in this, will stand foréver unequalled…🥂 🪖
Philip Seymour Hoffman could play any part so well. RIP And James Rebhorn was such a great character actor , who specialized in playing arrogant pricks so realistically.
Yes God rest him in peace.
Yes, James Rebhorn also played one of the nastiest Stepfathers on Guiding Light. I said this before but he's also a Good Luck Charm to so many Actors he worked with who would win Oscars. Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Al Pacino, Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, and Joe Pesci.
I've always loved this movie!
Did you see what a Fraidy Cat George Willis Jr., was when he had his Father sitting next to him and then being questioned by Mr. Trask. 😊
I had to laugh when he talked about the Student Body and were referred to as Minnows.
I have been there, done that. Unfortunately,I didn’t have a lawyer like that.
Sory to hear that
This movie was re-booted with a excellent performance from cast & crew
SO Oscar worthy!
Yeah, it broke his streak.😅
@@09kaustubhYes. Even Denzel Washington admired his work in this movie and they were both nominated that year. He lost for Malcolm X but he won for glory and training day.

Wait, he's blind?! Wow..
How did I never take Philip seriously?! Love that guy
Jon Cryer was born in New York City, NY in 1965.
Thank God Al pacino did not turn away!!!❤❤

Expelled for what exactly? Not being a camera?
Alot of private schools have an "Honor Code" where students are expected to inform on classmates that break the rules, or else the witnessing student is punished. It sounds ridiculous, but I went to a school that had such a code. I never saw it enforced, but it always made me think of this scene.
@@PatricksCrazyPlaceDon't forget the one in School Ties. They knew that David was innocent and Dillon was guilty but because it was the 1950's and David was a Jew, they wanted to send him down the river. They also hated to admit that a Scholarship Boy had more pizazz than they ever could have. Also don't forget Chris O'Donnell played Christopher "Chris" Reece.

They don’t make great movies like this anymore. Whether it’s serious movies or comedies… in the theaters or on television, they pretty much all suck nowadays. You can thank the libs. Comedians can’t even crack a joke now without offending someone and risking being “canceled”. 🙄
LMAOOOO "you can thank the libs".. if anything Slade is a leftist and the headmaster is conservative, trying to uphold the school's old values that haven't aged well. Also, there's still plenty of good movies, both drama and comedy, that are about taboo subjects and don't end up getting "canceled". It's always sunny for example.. still on TV. Curb Your Enthusiasm. What do you want.. Scent of a Woman starring Dave Chappelle and he's just kind of transphobic the whole time? That would be better for you?
that's a bunch of bull. All in the family was not written by conservatives by any means and it poked at all the stuff which can be poked at. Libs wrote it, starred in it and acted in it. And yes both libs and conservatives liked it. And you think conservatives are not guilty of any of this? Woke?
@@johnmuse2808: Thanks for making my point. So you’re equating comedy writing from 1972 to 2024? You can’t think of ANYTHING that might’ve changed with society in 52 years? I’ll give you a hint… comedy is one! Seinfeld is a perfect example and that was from the 1990s. They did comedy on things back then that you could never do now. Jerry himself says you can’t even make jokes anymore because of offending someone. That’s all because of liberals. Woke libs are ruining the world. Yes, even comedians say that, and they are typically liberals.
What scenery?
Ooh, Ah,💪🏽😎
Phillip Seymour Hoffman !!!
Yes what a good actor.

Al Pacino is the best actor in the world 🌎
Except he doesn't really act in this scene.
@@MR-intel He does, without saying a word. He's actually quite brilliant here. Not as brilliant as Phillip, but great none the less.
I agree with you 💯

Manny is so incredibly loyal and capable why isn't he a Secret Service agent. A simple Limo driver? I dig it. Modesty is a powerful tool. People buy it.
