Thanks, I am glad you liked it. Did you view it in a VR headset or just in 2d? If in VR, Meta TV versions have much better resolution than youtube. You just need to click the gear icon once the video starts and change the quality to highest.

Thanks, that means a lot. People always ask me to explain VR and as anyone that has seen it knows, there is no explaining it. You have to experience it for yourself. I always hope that someone out there would see one of my videos and experience the emotions I felt in the moment and it looks like that might have happened here. Meta TV does a better job of processing the online file so check it out there for a bit better quality. Just search for creator MIN_RK.

Thanks, I strive to put out the best quality that I can. The telescope/inlay footage could have been a lot better but I thought the VR footage turned out very well. Now that UA-cam VR is back to 8K I will be uploading all of my videos on here so check back. Some are not very good as I am still learning and was using 2 GoPro's but a few of them have good quality.

@@MINRoadkillanyway you can share the video file? I bet it looks better saved on the headset outside of UA-cam.

@@sam_mcl90 I also have the video on DEOVR and Meta TV. It looks best on Meta TV(creator name MIN_RK) and can be stored to the headset from there. All 3 online versions have banding that is not present in the offline file. If you don't have access to Meta then let me know and I will upload the master to Google Drive for you.

Same here with stereoscopy. The R5C with the dual fisheye is something I had dreamed of for years and I finally had the means to get one. The VR headsets are still considered gimmicky by most, but if they could only see the potential for recording memories that can be relived at any time then I believe they would really take off. I did a quick rush through the museum that morning so check back in a few days and I should have that video uploaded.

The plan originated with you so thanks for getting the ball rolling.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I will be releasing more videos, but have a full time job and 2 kids and am a complete amateur, so it takes me a lot of time to edit the footage properly. I am working on a fall colors video now and have some drone footage that turned out pretty good, upscaling to 8k as I type.

It was filmed in 5.7k and upscaled to 8k. I have a Qoocam that is true 8k, but the weight is a bit too heavy for my Mavic and the file size is very hard to edit in Davinci Resolve without errors with my current graphics card.

@@MINRoadkill UA-cam is not able to show this video in 8k

@@WiljanWiljan My computer allows me to select 8k 4320 and plays the video even though my monitor is only 4k. On my TV I can only select up to 4k as that is its limit. The best way to view this is with an Oculus Quest 2 headset using the Oculus TV ap as that is supposedly true 8k. The best playback would be to cache the video locally on the Quest2, but this is just a test video to learn production technique and not worth the local storage space.

Glad you liked it. Mars comes up later at night right now and will be higher in the sky, so not sure I could get it framed with my 12mm lens and 4/3 sensor. I might try next weekend if the weather cooperates.
