UTV Snowblower - Setup and test plowing icy snow
I'm putting the Rammy UTV snow blower back on the Polaris Ranger XP1000 to clear some icy snow.
This is the first run of the season and a test to ensure it's in working order. The ice gets a bit clogged up on the bottom of the snowblower. The design could be improved with a better mechanism to prevent this.
The more snow I get, the more rammy videos I'll upload. Subscribe to follow along.
This is a Rammy Snowblower UTV 155. It's using the "one pipe" option setup to attach to a Polaris Ranger XP 1000.
It is almost identical to the Rammy Snowblower 120 ATV.

    The problem is that there isn't enough snow on the ground for the blower to function properly. Barely any snow was being picked up. Looked like only 2 or 3 inches of snow.

    For the cost of that you could have a compact tractor and do 10x the work. Buy machinery to do work and keep the toys for play.

    I’m shocked your channel doesn’t have more views - you have great content and it’s well filmed. We just moved from a city to 7 acres of mostly wooded land and seeing examples of how land/wood management is done has been helpful to us. I joked with my wife the other day that our land is run off UA-cam and you’ve positively contributed to that. Thanks for putting this stuff out there!

      Thanks, I really appreciate your comment. Congrats on your 7 acres! I made a similar move and have been learning a lot along the way. YT is my go-to for just about everything now, so I am happy to give back. With more comments like this, the channel should keep growing 🤞 And don’t forget to tap the like button when you read this. Keep up the comments!

    It's a great machine for the smaller limbs! Inspect it regularly, because my belt cover split at the bottom. Also, my entry chute started splitting around the hinges. I got it welded for a $100.

    Have you had any issues with the logs taking a bad spill and landing on top of the motor? I just bought mine, and I’ve thought building a little table to cover my motor just in case. Awesome video!!

    • @MostlyProjects
      @MostlyProjects 10 місяців тому

      I’ve had a few close calls. I think it would be wise to extend the back tray to cover the engine which also gives more room for working while splitting, or build a protective table as you mention. Also, make sure to check that your hydraulic connections are tight before splitting. One of mine was not and leaked in the garage. Thanks for watching and for the comment!
