Installing an Xprite Chase Bar on my 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner!
Переглядів 4,7 тис.Рік тому
In this install video I install an Xprite Chase bar, initially purposed for a UTV, onto my 2004 Toyota 4Runner (@stout.na8 on insta for more on this 4Runner) by implementing it into the OEM Spoiler. Any questions please leave it in the comments, and please subscribe for more! What is that tool u used?
Did you modify your switch slots to fit or get some specific to the 4Runner switches?
I don't know.
Hey man! I know I’m a whole year late, but I was curious what gauge wire you used to extend the passenger side turn signal wire?
hey man where’d you get that V8 badge for the TRD style grill, i got a grill but my old v8 badge doesn’t fit
I actually just held my oem badge up to the grille and trimmed the plastic with a dremel as necessary until it fit
Looks clean!
Planning to build my 4th gen now 🔥🙏🏽 yours is Niceeee 🙌
clean install, looks good dude!
Siick
For anyone in SoCal (Orange County) area mainly I can cut ur bumper like this if u don't got the tools, hmu 🤙🏽
Yo I’m in Orange County can you do mine?
Where’d you find the pod brackets the connects to the hood bolts
Hey! Theyre CBI Ditch Mount brackets
Broken yet?
how have these held up with water?
Water has no effect on the bar/wiring. Its weather proofed from XPrite... these are actually intended for offroad use on side-by-sides, hence the switch graphic! As for the install, No leaks coming inside the vehicle. I did have a small leak coming in the rear hatch but just needed to adjust the wiring position so it didn't interfere with the weather stripping during closure
Glad to hear the bar has not shown condensation. A lot of these cheap off road lights typically do, so I am glad to hear they do not. I'll be getting one of these as a chase light on my jeep soon. Appreciate the reply@@montcospeed . Your setup is clean!
Why not tap to the trailer adapter wire?
Could always try that!
Thanks for the detailed instructions, I'm hoping to install this on my 04 that did not come with a spoiler
Did you figure out how the amber lights work? I’m about to install this and was curious. Thanks.
Love it! What size light bar is that? It looks like 36”. Thanks.
Sunday fuck up my truck day 😂
✋ 'promo sm'
Love this! Thanks for sharing!
What a hack job.
Wish this was for a 5th gen lol Just looked at my taillight wiring and of COURSE they aren’t the same 🙄
They are definitely different!
I would ask a toyota tech or try to read up on some forums on which wire is which on the 5th gens though. Same project can still be done!
@@montcospeed Yeah, I “think” I have the wires down for the reverse light and brake light. Which are the only two I want for now. All I’m waiting for is the extension cord from XpriteUSA. They sent me the wrong one. But thank you for the advice!
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! thats awesome, send us a msg on instagram!
DM sent!
Front looks great! Wish you had left the back alone! Good job. Always like to see new 4th gen ideas
Thanks for the video. Sweet 4th Gen... one day I'll man up and do the viper cut on the front. Luckily my 33's aren't rubbing at all in the rear and only a little on the front. You planning to do a rig walk around? Interested in info on your ditch light setup.
Yes!! Going to be doing one very soon. Sub to stay tuned! Thanks!
Beautiful 4th gen! Love those 4.7’s - sounds amazing. Keep the content coming 👌 What weather stripping did you snag from Amazon?
The link should be in the description!
This is exactly what I had in mind great work man
Thanks so much man!! All paid off in the end!
What lift you running? Tire size? Real TRD rims or bigger replicas?
Hey Ryan!! Bilstein 5100s all around, with 2.3" bilstein rear coils, and the front shock perch's are set to max height of 2.5"! Yes, have 5 real TRD Pro wheels I got from my local dealership, they are wrapped in 285/70R17 BFG K02's!
Stock upper and lower control arms all around, and i just reused the stock front springs when i put the front bilsteins on
I did the same with mines. They looks badass.
Love it!!
Great video! I’d just chop off that resonator so you get a turn down right after you axel.. complete the high clearance in the back!
Am going to do something close to this! I'm actually installing Doug Thorley longtube headers and ypipe this week. Thinking about removing all of that OEM nonsense after the ypipe and putting in something shorter! Appreciate your feedback!!
