I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Mitzi Gaynor years ago while working in the Ladies Shoe Dept., at the Robinson's-May department store in Beverly Hills. I remember approaching her, saying hello and inquired if she need any assistance. She graciously said no she was fine, and I walked away, stunned at just how beautiful she was, still head to toe the STAR! Great memories! 🤗

The wood finished evolved because they had a fire on set and most was destroyed they had to rebuild it. Also the facade and the rest of the backlot has been bulldozed, so 1164 Morning Glory circle stands no more. As well the I Dream of Jeannie house gon. The park with the fountain in the opening of Friends. Sad that all this TV and Movie history is gone.

It's good to see that our Mitzi girl's business acumen was sound. Just look at the beautiful mansion she called home. It's unique in its grandeur and splendor. When her film career fizzled, she was very wise to take on spectacular shows in night clubs and television specials, allowing the public to keep her memory alive. Many stars of the 50's and 60's were steam rollered into oblivion by changing public tastes and experienced hard lives to make ends meet. Those who invested in real estate were able to fend for themselves. Mitzi was a great comedienne, besides being a first-rate dancer. She had the legs to prove what a fantastic dancer she was in the dozen, or so, movies she made at 20th Century Fox. One of her final films was the mammoth musical 'Les Girls' in which she had the lead with Gene Kelly at MGM. Mitzi will always be remembered and appreciated for the genuine talent she exuded both as a dancer and as an actress. At 93, she died of natural causes and God blessed her for the exemplary life she led with long-lasting husband, Jack Ging.

I can well understand why The King much prefers to live at Clarence House rather than Buckingham Palace, the current renovations at the Palace provide the excuse. The late Queen, immediately, upon her accession, was hesitant to move to the Palace but the Prime Minister, Churchill, was having none of it.
