I suspect that a good biography of Donna Groom would make fascinating reading. To see Donna sitting in a small town park and belting out songs with a voice that is so truly "world class" makes me suspect that she has some personal priorities that make her an incredibly unique entertainer. I have to believe that working with her husband, and the Skyliners, and staying so much in the Pittsburgh area, has to have been more important to her than the life she could have had being an international icon. Her singing talent could certainly have put her on the very top of the heap.

Why would a voice like that be singing in a park?

I am not sure if Donna is performing any more, but she was always fantastic. She can sing anything. So under rated and so much better than these " singers" that we often see today.

Why is this lady not a bigger star? She can sing anything and sing it well. In the live performance of The Lion Sleeps she is the most interesting person on stage and the most enthusiastic.
