the problem with the Columbian mammoth winning most of the time is how it's explained. which with how it is explained isnt really a valid win condition for the mammoth, rex is arguably bigger in height and weight compared to it, and the tusks are pointed inward and are duller than that of a horned triceratops along with the huge agility disadvantage, sure mammoth hide could resist a tyrannosaurus bite (that wasnt going for the fragile and air pocket filled skull) that didnt get a full hold on it but it would cause serious damage and making its already bad agility disadvantage against the rex even worse. a tyrannosaurus would unironically one shots a columbian mammoth with a moderate amount of difficulty yes but pairing it with its inward facing dull tusks, relatively bad agility, and tyrannosaurus being actually taller and heavier on average, along with its overall worse senses in smell and sight, the only thing going for it is intelligence but that wont really help it all that much when tyrannosaurus commonly fought faster, stronger, heavier and more dangerous prey on the regular.
