Since France have very specific laws about when a movie can appear on an ott after it finished its run in the theaters, it's still not available yet. It came out in 2021 so I'd say 2023/2024. Claude Zidi sold the rights to James Cameron to do a remake. That's the Hollywood business plan: to buy successful foreign movies and readapt in the american way. Almost all american blockbusters (Marvel, superheroes apart) come from an existing movie abroad.

@@pawnoir his film may be a remake but the level of quality, ideas, execution and overall quality is about 500% better. The original film looks like a high school student project with a $5k budget. Hollywood does indeed often rip off European flicks but Cameron has made perhaps the best comedy/action film ever. None of the continental losers would ever would be able to make something as good as True Lies ( and I say that as a central European )

Lately I came across Goodnight Mommy with Naomi Watts, yes another copycat. I could talk about hundreds of american remakes, almost 99% are trash.
