First off, though we use the same percentage of fossil fuel today as in 1980 we are using double the amount of total energy, including fossil fuel (air conditioners, smart phones, crypto mining, F150 trucks), which means we are extracting double the amount of fossil fuel. It’s the same old story: figures don’t lie but liars can figure. If in 40 years you double this again the earth will be at a climate breaking point: all land based glaciers gone, Siberian methane leaching, Amazon gone, desertification, Arctic and Antarctic melting. I'm sorry, I have personally be in the field watching professionals monitor coral and take water samples. A coral reef that has existed since before humans came to this part of the world is no 80% dead, and ALL of that die off happened in the last 10 years. Are you denying this? We do need all types of energy. It is just like we need water, but we can't just dump the dirty water into the rivers, streams without cleaning it up first. The same need to be done for the oil, gas, coal industries. We just need them to capture as much as carbon as they to reduce the pollution, which impact the health of all living things. The dead, dying, and sickness are the biggest lost on any investment. Just my point of views. I could be 100% wrong.:)
