Common date Morgans and average MS grades are OK, but I’ll BET you over paid for them. But if you enjoy the unwrapping…
If your phone isn’t wanting to focus on an item try and put your hand behind the coin. The camera is focusing on something in the background. Or the macro lens is to close to the item.

Only Vault insiders get Red Core 😆You aren't in the club. There is a reason they only sell 2 per household. If enough people believe 1 out of 4 you would have to get at least 5 more gullible people to buy 2 anonymously and share the results. Better off just buying what you want.
Besides u can't trust a same party grading system. Same company grading them that is selling them is sus to me in more ways then one.

This is like going to the casino and putting $800 in a slot machine. You’ll probably get some of it back but will most likely be walking out the door with less than what you came in with. In reality if at a show how many people are looking to buy these state specific classic commems? Would you shell out $800 for them? Would you buy them for 60% off? Their main appeal would be to somebody specific who was associated with the state somehow. I bought an Illinois one myself. They’re nice, and wouldn’t mind having them but in this scenario… probably not what you’re looking for. At least VB will buy them back and you’d only be out a little if you so choose. After watching many of these videos, never participating, but also being a gambler, I can’t help but feel like this is taking advantage of people (fairly hard.)
I was with you until you said ( EBay ). Then it just became a gambling game. If you are not going to keep what you get and have the story behind it you end up being the scene from Willy wonka where they have a factory of workers opening chocolate bars.
I understand that, it's just for me, I've never been a commemoratives collector. If the coins would've been anything pre-1900 American, I'd be all over it, especially silver dollars. BTW, is that a Maverick Grabber in your profile pic? I had a '71 Maverick (not a Grabber) as a kid!
I don't get the appeal; this is just expensive gambling. Just directly buy the coins you want for exactly what they're worth. Also still think the 10 point grading system is stupid.
I think it devalues them a a second party grader when they grade their own coins they sell.

Yeah... it's totally gambling. You're pulling a wheel on a slot machine with these. For what you paid you could have bought those two coins in the same grade by NGC and had room for a third. Vault Box is weird. They're trying to turn coin collecting into pokemon cards. I think people would be better off just buying what they want directly. It's nice for the one guy who gets an $800 coin for $400 but it sucks for the 15 other people who overpaid a lot for a coin.
I agree with you to a point. The gambling part is what makes coins I may never have the ability to own accessible. I snagged a few higher grade red core Morgan CC dollars from Series 4 for well under $300 - closer to $200. I totally get your point though. As long as people are willing to pay, VaultBox will keep producing them. I just think it's fun.
@@AdventuresinCoins Yeah, like I don't think I've ever seen a box where the retail is less than 60% the cost. So I get the appeal. Do they let you know how many total boxes there are?

Definitely more of a collector, but if I get things I don't really collect, or I'm not "in to", I like to make them available for others.

More than they're worth. By about $300
A little over $800 after tax. There is a summary at the end of the video. Based on PCGS prices, I overpaid by about $175.

Can I ask what is wrong with people today ? . Do you have so much money that you are giving it away to a grading company sight unseen. I will stick to see what I am buying first . What a huge waste of money.
Fun to watch but there's no way I'd ever waste money like that I seen what the vault boxes sold for on Pinehurst (1,450 to 1,900) it was insane . Lotta ppl have to lose to olny have a hand full of winners and in the end NGC is the BIG winner with everything funneling bck to them .
I totally get what you're saying. I like the gambling aspect of it. To me, it's no different than going to the casino and blowing $300, but at least this way I will always have something to show for it. Lol. I bought Series 4 from Pinehurst for $260-$290 a box (I think it was $229 retail) as that was the first time I'd heard of them. Then I bought Series 5 directly from VaultBox.

It looks like a bit of fun opening these boxes, but it's kind of like a lottery, and every unboxing that I've seen, people are losing money big time. Fun to watch though.

They never seem to mention that in the videos I've seen of it
Sorry about that - since I'm new, I wasn't sure how to do that quickly and effectively. Once I upload my Series 5 hits, I should be able to show the VaultBox BuyBack prices, and then current market value is usually a little higher, depending on the coin.
