My feelings exactly! One of the coolest promotional ideas of BotW/TotK was the flexibility of solving puzzles in myriad ways, but especially with TotK the puzzle solving could often be cheesed, and it made the process less satisfying overall, especially with how big Hyrule is in those titles. Hopefully the Echoes are a little more creatively flexible, not to the point of a few being objectively better slash all you need to beat the game 😬

@@EagerBeags Well not the Mario and Luigi trailer. No offense, I am thinking about a new and futuristic 3D action Mario game introducing my 6 imaginary Mario characters. It is what I also imagine and I imagine it being titled Super Mario Majestia. Sorry if you are not interested in my huge idea as one of the biggest fans of Mario, Luigi, and the others.

Same here!!!!! Having them accessible to more people can only be a good thing, Capcom deserves praise for officially localizing the second game. Game preservation is increasingly important lately too!

@@theoriginalcatfish oh ive never heard it referred to as just "versus". i've played some of it, it's easy to get free games on a 3ds. ngl its my least fav of the series, though i havent played the great ace attorney games or investigations 2 yet

It's been so long since a new mainline entry in SoJ that you have to be right - they've gotta be working on something new!!!! But it'd be a shame to not port the Layton spinoff if possible. Level 5 has been dragging their feet on re-releasing the Layton series on consoles, just some mobile ports of the first three titles iirc... It makes the second trilogy and the Ace Attorney crossover game really sought after and mostly impossible to find in the aftermarket, at least in the US. I'm gonna hold out hope against hope that Capcom's preservation of the Ace Attorney series will bring back the Layton crossover and free it from 3DS jail 🤞It deserves another shot!

@@EagerBeags The new Layton game will be releasing next year. I am literally praying for a pl vs pw remaster/port before or after it comes out (preferably before so that people could get a taste of the layton gameplay) I NEED MORE INQUISITOR BARNHAM APPRECIATION HERE

@@theymon I wish Level 5 was better about porting the mainline games like Capcom is with Ace Attorney, it's such a shame so many titles are losing the ability to be enjoyed because of that. I'm sure Capcom is down to port the title, so we just need Level 5 to be on the same page 😭 Inquisitor Barnham is peak character design, there has to be a way to bring him back too, right?! Darklaw and Espella too - really all the characters were gorgeous from that title, ahhhh I'm gonna have to play it again now

I never had the pleasure of playing Tomodachi Life, so a revamped version with updated features sounds like a treat!!! Though, did the title have a lot of Streetpass functionality? I wonder how they'd make that work in a Switch version if so - I really miss that social feature from the 3DS era. Mario and Sonic in Paris makes so much sense - great call on that one! We're getting closer to the Olympics after all so we're really due a Mario and Sonic title any time now. And yes put Vivian and Geno in everything!!! The babies deserve their limelight 💞

Kirby's Air Ride needs a modern remake so desperately - the race modes are distinct enough from Mario Kart that I could see the releases being tapered but still close, especially if they pushed City Trials as a major selling point - that would be exceptionally cool to see and play online!! Daisy deserves her time in the spotlight too! Peach Showtime was charming but maybe something a little more feisty in the same vein as that title would do well for Daisy? I feel like so many of your ideas are big hitter enough that they might hold off until the next console release - Luigi's Mansion 4 would be really cool to see especially, if they made another giant mansion to explore with hidden paths and rooms, making it more centralized and like the original - I'd love that personally.

It does have the release date, which is great! I should have mentioned it. But it still feels like we know so little about it outside some returning features and some new. They're playing it close to their chest alongside DecaPolice and Layton. Maybe this summer's Level5 Vision will show us a little more detail too? Fingers crossed anyway!

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse would suit the touchscreen on the Switch pretty well, it would be a great time to revisit a revised version of the title. There are a lot of Kirby DS games that would be nice to see on modern consoles - I'm biased but I think the artwork on them is already so good that they don't even need a visual rehaul, imho! Luigi's Mansion shadow drop makes so much sense - have all the games on one system alongside the 3DS game coming this year to Switch. Donkey Kong for sure needs SOMETHING new - Mario vs. Donkey Kong isn't the platformer we've been waiting for. Let the monkey free!!

OMG, you're right on the Kyle Hyde collection - especially following the Another Code games! That would keep the output and support for the genre going strong. And I could only dream of a Starfy and Pushmo anthology, Nintendo could never be so benevolent.... but it sure would be great if they were. Starfy especially deserves to be the star again (pun intended) - only getting his DS game in the west was a crime - he's just so charming. Pushmo as well deserves a new life like Pocket Card Jockey, being free from the closed eShops! I'm kind of surprised a lot of Virtual Boy titles didn't get remakes on the 3DS - that would have been a perfect time for those visions to be fleshed out! But yeah getting that Wario Land off the VB and onto something we can access and enjoy would be awesome!

In my experience it's truly unmatched in how much thought went into the little details of each and every part of the user experience! That charm hasn't been replicated even with the WiiU, and even there we got some nice menu music and the MiiVerse crowd (RIP). That's an awesome point - I spent a dollar here or there to complete badge sets every now and then, but the My Nintendo Rewards Platinum coins tend to add up - especially now that rewards don't ship for free - so using an offshoot of both your idea and the current Switch icon rewards, it feels like a really easy implement for Nintendo. Doubly so since the Platinum tasks reset weekly and require engagement with the Switch anyway, it could be an ecosystem that feeds into itself easily. The eShop music on the Wii was so iconic, and the cycles of different songs used on the 3DS/WiiU eShops were a treat too - opening up the WiiU one to hear in-game music for a recent release was also really cool and a subtle marketing technique as well. But you can't beat the classics either - Wii eShop's theme lives on 😁
