@@zmythleo Chalice diving is pretty fun overall-- only part that sucks is occasionally being sent to the side area, completely far off from the Host. This happens more than you would think

I don't use any specific glyphs per se, i just use the Short Root Alter and let it run for about 10 mins on average. Trying to take a swing at the chalices, I assume?

@@stevie31 Good luck--make sure to place your Root chalices to unlock the seal, THEN run the makeshift alter

@@zmythleo Yup, most of these were done at BL70, so there were hardly any players that qualified as threats, but i could only hope to complete the Bloodborne experience by being truly invaded at least once

@@user-on1ee5gv5c In Bloodborne, healing is widely accepted because it can be punished with the gunshot (or getting close to strike).

Healing makes the fight last longer

There's a lot of weird places you can PVP that I've coined the motto "If you can Beckon, you can PVP"--like the area right in front of Paarls boss arena

some were around the BL70--particularly the one in the DLC (I don't pay too much attention to the BL when I edit, its usually based on the ones i find the most entertaining, both victories and defeats)

yup--at the very least, we can hope to show that interest in bloodborne hasn't completely died

most of them were BL60 iirc, but you can also get hits at BL75 to BL125, but it still takes longer

@@stevie31 I think i've seen that video--Upper Cath I believe it was. I also remember mentioning that I would use the pkmn "shiny" sfx if i ever found a wild purple

@@pingamalinga To me the bow an important curtesy, and I've pretty much had to stomach that not everyone sees it that way, duelist or not. I've made it a point that the only time I ever crush vermin upon victory is when im attacked while bowing, or literally as im spawning

Makeshift sinistering has given me some of my fondest Bloodborne moments. Youll be fighting 2 strong hunters then a third one will just appear or warp in. You can use traps and such. Its incredibly intense.

I just realized I never explained how to maximize the Pings on the Alter--just place all of your Root chalices (and sinister) so that its available for the alter to search.

@@stevie31 Its actually my first run; The Taunter and Bloody Finger were my top priority items. Just got past Rannala and im not entirely sure where else to go. At least i have the invaders to entertain me while i wander around a bit

Had to take a break but im gonna be uploading more often, (just once a week since i burnt myself out tryna bite off more than i could chew)

So legitimate counterpoint: I do the "Courtesy Bow" to give the host a chance to get his bearings together, but i think its just the risk we take as invaders--just as how the Host is taking the risk of being invaded, being jumped is the risk we take in showing honor

It is a meme about dark souls, basically invasions are when a play can well Invade another players campaign and kill them and the idea is Invasions are a wild west free zone, but alternatively you could summon a person to fight you hence a duel the meme is saying the invader is using honor in a street fight

So within the Soulsborne franchise (Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and so on) there exists the Invasion mechanic which allows one player to enter another player's world to kill them. In most of these games however, you can purposefully summon an Invader with the purpose of dueling them, and usually has some agree'd upon rules. As for the Invasions the only enforced rule is that the Host either lives or dies, beyond this the invader is allowed to be as formal or as ruthless as he feels the need to be. However, for some reason, its generally frowned upon for an invader to use duelist rules; not that it really stops them
