Lock up should be rock solid. I would do a full breakdown, cleanup, and rebuild. Perhaps just a slight misalignment of scales and hardware. Otherwise as the lock breaks in, the design ensures lockup should improve, not worsen.

According to knifesteelnerds, the steel change to H2 was not necessarily an improvement on H1. The main cutting blade IS your letter opener.

@@la_old_salt2241 - I know a knife can open a letter, but it’s not exactly a “letter opener.” such a tool could also be used for opening packages, cleaning underneath nails, if the actual nail file has the screwdriver on it… basically, the point would be to keep the blade sharp for when you really need it to be 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have 10 Penguins, 7 carbon fibre, one brass, one denim micarta and a titanium version. I’ve only carried the denim micarta one. I bent the bloody clip today. All fixed now though.

@@LrdwEDC Yeah I was thinking of making a video but I don't have a channel. It's actually super easy and you can just tear down the knife like you would a cleanup. Took all of 2 extra minutes while I was cleaning the knife.

I would say similar, at .126 blade thickness on the arcade and .125 on the 20.5 this is very little difference in overall sliceness. I would pose both are maybe designed for a bit harder use, like amazon boxes 😆

Extremely smooth! However, there is no doubt that the Demko Shark lock or the snex lock found in the WE/Civivi Vision are easier to manipulate.

Hey, shout out to a fellow 52er! I really appreciate the feedback, and yes I am fortunate the wife is tolerant of the hobby. I like her input from the aesthetic, non-knife nut aspect. I haven’t braved a sak scale change as yet, but enjoy mods and upgrades, so maybe soon. The small army of classic sd’s I seem be acquiring could sacrifice one for the cause! @@LrdwEDC As far as I understand, they're not making Managers now. I can't find them on the site or on Amazon. HOWEVER, they still make the Rambler (Manager without the pen, but you could add blue Plus Scales to get what you want), and I can still find the MIDNIGHT Manager, which is a Manager with a "flashlight" LED in it (however, I don't know how easy it would be to get after market scales made for the LED).

@@LrdwEDC Amazon always has midnight managers, but the price has gone up quite a bit to around $56 now. I think it was like $15 cheaper just a couple of years back. 😣
