Howdy!
Welcome to the BlueberrySupreme channel, where nothing is off-topic. This channel will cover some of personal favorite activities, such as hunting, fishing, hiking and gaming. What I want to do for you is to provide lifestyle and entertainment videos on a variety of topics, and make recommendations to viewers on purchases from Amazon.
My objective will be to bring you high quality content on a weekly basis. Keep coming back if you enjoy, and use that Like/Dislike button combo as much as you can.
What is BlueberrySupreme? It is the combination of words I used for my gaming nametag because everything else was taken up. In addition, what is more demeaning in a game than getting beat by somebody named Blueberry?
Thank y'all!

GEAR RECOMMENDATION: Mountaintop 40L Hiking Backpack
Thank you for stopping by!
This is Jonah with the BlueberrySupremes UA-cam Channel. In this video, I'm making a direct and concise recommendation for folks looking to buy a new hiking/hunting backpack. I recommend the Mountaintop 40L backpack.
Link to the backpack on Amazon: amzn.to/37ntrnT
I recommend the backpack for several reasons:
Comfort: 4/5 on a 1-5 scale. I hefted this bag on a 2.5 trek through a national forest without issue. I have also used this bag on many occasions since.
Space: 3.5/5 on a 1-5 scale. I wish there were some small pockets to put items into. This backpack has a main compartment and two smaller compartments.
Durability - 4/5 on a 1-5 scale. The backpack is durable and made with good materials. It's not rainproof or waterproof, but it comes with a little rain tarp/rain cover. In addition, the elements (dirt, mud, sand) don't really stick to the backpack.

came here looking for advise. found it!
Is that a sword?
Wonder if that’s natural burning on the trees
I love it when I’m out on a hot day and it rains… I was used to hunting and fishing in cold rain back in Washington state, and after living here for 14 years, it’s nice to have rain you could take a shower in it’s so warm. 😂
I’m surprised y’all didn’t overheat with all that gear. Snake gaiters? I’ve never used them… You’re safe in the middle of the day and if you just walk on the trail and avoid their normal haunts you’re good… I’ve seen them many times (cotton mouths /water moccasins) and on at least 1 occasion found one laying next to my Rod, but they don’t just attack… always give them right of way.
broad Banded water snake
40 liters is not a weight, it's space, and those are very diferrent things
I’m trying to hunt this forest for the first time and I’m looking at on x hunt and I can’t find my creeks or water. Do you think you could help me?
Are there designated hunting areas? Just wondering for when I might want to camp there or hike the trails.
What is your height bro? Wanted to check the length
Black and yellow buddy stay away
Broadband watersnake completely harmless and fun to play with they will strike a time or two then are very docile
I'm planning a solo hunt out there soon, also for hogs. Hopefully I'll do better than yall did
Liked. It was that bish Carole Baskin lol. Thx dog. I'm going in November. I got onX too
Do they require u to wear that orange vest or is just to not get shot by other hunters
Yes, that make you wear it
Go there seldomly don’t take my AR as I don’t want to make a GW nervous so just a basic bolt rifle now. It’s fun mostly solo once in a while with friends!

Thanks for the review! I think you should find a “hidden” pouch underneath that middle pouch, that might work for your license papers and other map papers or whatnot. The middle pouch has Velcro on the bottom that you can lift of and flip up to access the “hidden” pouch. Is that correct?
Is there a divider between the bottom access to the main compartment and the main compartment like some bags have?
Nope
@bluberrysupremes, I’ve been wanting to do a back country hunt/camp for hogs. Would like to try this spring. Spot and stalk for hogs is not impossible, I’ve had success a few times. If you’d like to try to meet up for a hunt. Just reply to this comment. I’m also on the Sam houston hunters Facebook group. Have a recent post with a hog I got while spot and stock hunting.

My wife and I both have that backpack. She bought hers like 4-5 years ago and I just recently bought one for myself cause I was always stealing hers haha. Right now on amazon I had gotten mine for 10% off. great deal.
right before it rains, and even during the rain is some of the best fishing
You guys need to split up, sit down wind of where you think they’re coming from, and sit longer. Hog-thirty is the last 1/2 hour of daylight. You guys left way too early
did you guys ask some asian and mexican girl near kellys pond something? i feel like i saw yall there when i was camping
You do not have to use designated campgrounds except during general gun season, you can camp anywhere otherwise.
They move a night
Thanks for the review
Ok, I'm only 3 minutes but I gotta say... you're walking into one of the hardest hunted, most heavily pressured areas of the forest.
Lmao it is that hard I got me taged out this year got my dad and brother tagged out this year 2 bucks 3 does apiece
"As you can see ... "
Just an added bit of knowledge to pass on to you if you havent discovered it already, when you hunt with multiple people, when you find your destination to sit, spread out. Give yourself atleast 50 yards between each person. That will greatly enhance the possibility of someone getting eyes on your target. Happy hunting!
You can use rifles at sam houston!?
you can look up the open seasons. well i mean for eveything else not hogs lol but yeah you can
Setup a pop up blind just off the trail where you are seeing hog sign.
Thanks man I need to know for a hiking trip
I didnt know you can use electronic devices to lure Hogs on public land . Last I heard that was a form of baiting which is prohibited
I believe baiting means throwing out corn or hog baits.
Baiting as defined by the TPWD Public Hunting Lands Map Booklet: Baiting - The placement of minerals, vegetative materials, or other food substances used as an attractant for wildlife.
@@LRShooter78 If you go to the Texas Parks and wildlife website , under what you need to know , scroll down to prohibited acts , under baiting and trapping you will see " uses recorded or electric calling devices to take wildlife resources other than furbearers and predatory animals or except as provided for any Special Migratory Conservation season; Notice: the use of scent lures simulating animal odors is not considered baiting.''
@@jsal849 Lawful Means and Methods It is legal to: use calling devices (including manual and mouth-operated), recordings, and electrically amplified calls to hunt game animals and game birds. Electronic calls may not be used to hunt migratory game birds except during the Light Goose Conservation Order season. tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/hunting/general-regulations/means-and-methods#:~:text=It%20is%20legal%20to%3A&text=use%20calling%20devices%20(including%20manual,Light%20Goose%20Conservation%20Order%20season.
@@LRShooter78 well I don't know what to believe, because Texas Parks and wildlife website is saying 2 different things, it could be that using an electronic hog caller is legal on private land but not on public land
Great review, appreciate it!
That looked familiar, I was there last December and saw a few tracks. Heard a sounds in the thicker bush but those hogs wouldnt come out. I decided to go in the bushes and was welcomed by a copper head. Good thing I brought extra boxers...LOL!
Another trick is with the middle compartment/pocket in the front, there Velcro on the bottom and it flips up and there's another little pocket for licences and money

Good try, keep it up and good luck
Thank you sir, we appreciate it! Good luck to you as well.
Was just scouting for hogs today in the Sam. Saw a lot of sign... but it THICK and bugs are rough, was thinking of traveling down some creeks with the right boots... Do you have to wear Orange even though it isn't deer season? What is the biggest piece of advice you would give from your trip? Thanks!
Exactly, thick as hell. I think lightweight, calf-high waterproof boots may be your best bet. It worked well for my buddies. In terms of wearing orange for hog hunting on public land, we always refer to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department guidance. In terms of hunting regulations about orange, see here: tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/hunting/general-regulations/overview We always try to remember to wear our orange on public lands. We even strapped orange to our backpacks! I believe our biggest piece of advice is to look at walk-in access points that'll take you to a running water. These creeks where we did our ground sits were nearly dry. Therefore, we didn't see a thing. Go to the running water!
@@blueberrysupremes8085 Thanks for the info!
If hunting on public Land here in Texas , yes you do have to wear an Orange vest and hat.
At 2:59, is that an animal or a human crossing at the end of the road across the water. I can't tell what that is. I also spend my free time at Sam mostly chasing whitetail or scouting for them.
Also, no water no life. You said it yourself, Texas summers can be brutal, follow creeks that hold water. Pigs are usually not far from them and you should be able to hear them before seeing them as they are very vocal. Pigs also love fallen pines because it creates a great wallow in the uprooted part where they lay all day. They are the easiest to stalk up on because of their poor eyesight and when they are rooting they drown out the sound of you sneaking up on them.
@@86chevy9 Very nice! Thanks for stopping by! At 2:59, I believe it's a human crossing, although I'm sure animals use it as well. It's referred to as the Lake Stubblefield bridge. It seems to be a well-known fishing spot, despite the many signs that say "NO FISHING ON BRIDGE". You're absolutely right. There was little to no water in that creek bed intersection. I'm glad you're helping affirm this with us because I think on our next Sam Houston trip, we're going to looking for more lively bodies of water. Now, we are definitely going to be looking for fallen pines near water...a good stalk will be exciting. That's an excellent suggestion!
@@jonahchen747 Yep, right now all animals are holding tight to water and eating all the sweet dewberries. All small creeks should be bone dry except the creeks that hold pockets of water year-round. Had a friend have a boar hog cruise right in front of him at 30 yards on a clear cut. Try spots where the habitat is diverse near water.
@@86chevy9 Acknowledged, we are gonna take your advice to heart. We attempted the two hog sits along low-water creeks and weren't successful. Therefore, I think your recommendation is spot on. Thank you sir!
Did the deer/horse flies tear you guys up?
We got lucky and no extended horse fly attacks...but the mosquitos. THE MOSQUITOS.
@@blueberrysupremes8085 thats good, we were down in Brazoria at the national refuge and ....oooohhheeeee they chased us out the woods..😸
@@JohnSmith-hm2ow Damn, I feel for y'all. Where down in Brazoria did y'all go? Was it Lake Jackson?
