You should watch the web series Pretty Dirty Secrets they released right before the Halloween episode this season. They aired a few mini episodes between A and B parts of the season, before the Halloween episode. It's like 12 minutes total and some of it is worthless but some is good context. I didn't even know about it until my most recent rewatch but was interesting

Good morning. I will be honest, I was scared to listen today. Serena to me speak a lot of negativity that makes it not unenjoyable, that’s why I think some blame about. When the shows are constantly being torn down left and right when it is for entertainment purposes that takes the entertainment out of it. I have rewatched the show at 10 times, I see the issues but I ignore because it’s make believe/fantasy. Some positive KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Ryan and Marissa deserve other ppl . I hated Marissa season 3 on rewatch of show I like Marissa character better than ryan. Ryan should Theresa, Marissa should’ve been Alex or Luke

I 100% ship Ryan & Marissa. They did have their issues and their relationship wasn’t perfect, but they did truly love each other. Marissa saved Ryan’s life in season 2 and if she didn’t get killed off I think her & Ryan definitely would’ve been endgame. The love triangle with Johnny in season 3 was stupid, and I think Johnny & Taylor would’ve been a good couple even though they never talked lol. I just think they would’ve suited each other well

Ryan and Marissa were perfect for what they were, but I think they ultimately work better when they are pining for each other. Once they actually get together, it reveals how dysfunctional they are. Their best episodes are the first nine in season one and the 4-5 episodes where they're "not together" in season 2 before officially reuniting.
