I can't believe that wheel speed sensor came out that easy. Actually I'm surprised how easy it all came apart. I'm in Illinois and the salt rusts and corrodes everything making it a battle to get anything loose. The wheel sensor usually snaps off. Nice video, right to the point. I'm sure I'll have to do this to my Acadia someday. New vehicle pricing is out of control so I'll be holding on to it. Thanks for making this video.
@@dozer101308 yea that good ole salt will make a job ten times harder:( luckily we don’t have to deal with that down here. The crazy prices of everything now-a-days is why we are repairing and not replacing. Thanks for the comments!

Can you take this out, and then put captain seats in?

Awesome video! I have a 2015 Acadia and when I made a turn today it sounded like the rear wheels are locked in. It did it a few times. I pulled the AWD fuse and will see if the problem goes away. It seems to be intermittent so I'm going to wait a week or so to make sure. Your video makes me feel better about replacing the clutch module. Thanks for posting this.
@@dozer101308 sorry you are having the same issue, but super glad the video helps out. Thank you for the support!!!
@@SturkieHands Do you know why removing the AWD fuse makes it stop? That seems like the AWD system is telling the clutch to engage when it shouldn't be and the clutch works. Or is there a short inside the clutch causing it to activate when it shouldn't. In that case there would have to be a relay inside acting up. I'm just trying to understand this more before I replace mine. I didn't know if you happened to know more about it.
@ I don’t know all the workings of the system, but I think it is an electrical failure inside the clutch module assembly. That’s the reason pulling the fuse works, the signal to engage the AWD clutch module is no more and you are only utilizing the front wheels for power. Essentially taking the power to the rear wheels power out of operation.

While reversing and turning the steering, it has the tires with vibrations. Moreover, both the rear tires are worn only on the inside. The problem doesn't seem to exist when I remove the drive shaft or when the ABS cable is disconnected. I tried to change the drive shaft of a good car, but the problem didn't seem to go away. Please help me. What might be the issue with my vehicle?
@@mujahidislam8303 I’m not well versed with the Captiva model, but it sounds like you are having a similar issue. It could be your AWD clutch assembly like mine or it could be an electrical issue with the module itself. I would recommend connecting with a good shop that can connect to your system and troubleshoot. I took mine in for troubleshooting before replacing ours, I did not want to just throw parts at it with guesses.
@SturkieHands I have my car checked at an authorized Chevrolet service center. We did everything, but no errors were showing up on the system. When you remove the drive shaft, it runs smoothly, as if the problem was never there. Similarly, you put the shaft back and disconnect any tires abs censor, and the moment it shows an error on the odometer, the problem vanishes away. You put the abs censor back on the problem is back.

Ok a final comment on the replacement I did on my 2019. So first thank you for doing this. Some of those clips I would have never guessed were there. I ran into one last challenge doing this. The wiring clip in the oil pressure sensor actually broke. It was a bit of a surprise as it came off normally. The little tap you click up to unlock worked normal but after getting the connection off it was kind of lose so I grabbed it not wanting it to end up in engine. What I didn't notice till putting it back together was a small piece of plastic broke inside and the clip would no longer click onto the sensor. Jeep had a replacement connector on the shelf. They recommended cutting and soldering the new one in. But I went the repin direction. There is no room to work in that location. We'll that did it. The new connector clipped in and the putting back together went as it did for you. Just started it and up to temperature, no issues so far. This is quite the job stick with it go slow. I watched this like 50 times doing it!!

i have a gmc acadia denali and the pulley also isn’t working to fold down. we’re trying to remove the seat in order to fix it however we’re not sure how to remove the seat ! please upload a video or guide with steps please :)
Start By removing the rear and middle floor mats. You can then lift all the plastic seat track covers (no screws or bolts for the covers). Once the covers are removed you should have full access to the seat bolts. The bolts are normally put in with some strong thread locker, so it will take some force to remove them. What was the listing for the actual clutch?
It is the AWD clutch assembly that distributes power to the rear wheels depending on the demand.
You could have probably mounted like the 98-02 f-body's. Right where it used to sit. That was a $150 dollar relocate bracket for running a front mount turbo. The a/c compressor on f-body's is mounted down low passenger side hugging the block. Used a separate belt off main pulley. Some swaps you gotta either trim the the frame or mount it high above the passenger valve cover
I saw the original location bracket for sale, but it looked like it would sit the alt to low and would not clear the fender well. It did hurt a little cutting that bracket because it did look expensive. I’ve been looking at the high mount ac brackets for the passenger side to run off the main serpentine belt, but still working out all the details on that. The ac original location definitely won’t have clearance on this tightly fitted beast.!.!
