I enjoyed listening to this work, and I will listen to more of his music. A great performance.
Copying Mahler there.
This work really speaks to me. Perhaps that's partly because the Russian Easter Festival Orchestra by Rimsky-Korsakov was one of the first pieces of classical music that I remember hearing as a kid.
Try to give a description of your art work since it’s chosen for something in relation to the track and may be of some interest
Thanks for sharing... Whose cover photo is it?
The adagio in the center is sublime❤
A dud
I've got the CD of this. The 7th is coupled with his 6th symphony. Both are very fine works.
This composer was beauty, message, violence and dream, but above all the powerful instrument of a great will. He said "I want" when many others mumbled "I would like" He achieved his goal without complying with the slightest compromise, like a plow hung on a star. Once and for all, this guy traced their way and never moved away, refusing any compromise that makes popular music today a weary prostitute
Superb
Also a beauty

Was this symphony written in this one movement or are there others that are not available here? Thanks
This is the full symphony. From his website: Symphony [No 7] Labyrinth (2007) 3(3=pic).2+ca.2+bcl.asx.3/4331/timp.3perc/hp.pf(cel)/str duration: 20 Commissioned by BBC Radio 3 for the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra First performance 14 September 2007 Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra/Vasily Petrenko Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool
@@symphonious_rex Excellent. I imagined it could be a single movement, just like Penderecki did in his Adagio symphony. Thanks for sharing these composers born in the 20th century that I still don't know. I've also written two symphonies to date. Maybe one day someone will be able to record them. For now I only have versions recorded with vsti orchestral samples. Cheers

C'est bath... J'adore 🤠🥳
Bijzonder en mooi
wow! it is so beautiful and delicate and rafined but it is so sad 😢 more sad than when Forest Gump's mother was old, ill and dying 😢😢
Zeer geslaagde symfonie!
Like the first light of dawn, this music opens your eyes to new promises and to all the wonders of nature. Evocative of powers beyond observation, these pieces pull the strings of the heart, attract nostalgia and awaken the loves, the skinned lives and torpor of tormented watchmen 💫💦
Belle symphonie. L illustration fiche la trouille. ❤
I like this--very much!

Sensible para un despertar dispuesto.
Merci pour cette vidéo (sans pub 😊)
Interesting and technically very proficient. I quite like this work and will look for other works by the same composer.
A discovery of a composer who left us way to soon (1967-2016).
Wonderful music for ... whatever lives in that castle! Very glad I found this. Many thanks for introducing her to me.
Different.
I like it
Bijzonder
Just awful. The performers wasted their time.
Sorry it struck you that way. I thought the players played an interesting piece, very well.
ok granpa
Sure, it is pretty removed from say Mozart, Beethoven, or Duke Ellington. It is more of an academic, scholarly piece, yet not as nearly experimental, disjunct, and dissonant as similar pieces from say WWII into the 60's. It does have multiple layers of adroit organization and thematic material that warrants repeated listening; as the material at times can be somewhat dense and thorny. It is a good piece relative to comtemporaneous output. One thing is for sure though - it can be difficult for this style of music to project things like love and joy, so if one is looking for that kind of inspiration, it's best to look elsewhere.
@@bruceinoregon8163 I found this piece conceited; dense - oh, yes but bereft of ideas. Not every cacophony is interesting but good music may indeed be disjointed and dissonant amalgamation of sound. We agree that it does not project love or joy, but pray tell me what it does irradiate other than perhaps a wish to finish something in time for yet another congress of Soviet composers... or whatever. I failed to discern it.
@@tiosav6251 Enjoy your Wkd, sonny. I shall stick to my single malts.
Opening bassoon solo? Off to a fantastic start
Very Citizen Kane😊
As far as I can tell, there are three publicly available recorded performances of this piece . I perform on two of them. I like to think it was because of me Warren decided to perform a second performance years after we made the first recording. Our Orchestra never repeats pieces . We spent a year recording arnel's entire symphonic cycle, which was supposed to be put out by Nexus records, but for some reason, it didn't happen. Warren decided to use his own money to publish the 4th and 5th Symphonies on a CD any private distributor. That is the recording you're currently listening to. I'm glad that out of the seven or so Symphonies Arnel completed, Warren chose the 4th. It was always Far and Away my favorite . If you were to ever play the symphony, the score and the parts were written by Richard's own hand . And while I openly admit the National Scottish Symphony has a technically better performance, I feel as though they blow by important moments at 100 miles an hour. Check it out and comment under this
Wow, something really cool I haven't heard before. Many thanks!
Heftig hoor
Bravo
Who are the performers?
I don't have the details. If anyone knows please let me know. Always appreciated.
Love it, thank you 💥💪🏻
