Molnar Gardens
United States
Приєднався 13 чер 2022
Jacki and Jeff Molnar started Molnar Gardens in 1981 when they purchased a small plot of land north of Bemidji, Minnesota. They later moved to their current 90-acre farm in 1984 where they've raised six children (all now adults). They've learned so much about gardening, cultivation, natural fertilization, weed control that they want to share that experience with you! Whether you have a small, backyard garden or a larger rural farm, the purpose for this UA-cam channel is to help you grow your gardening knowledge. The Molnars are committed to natural gardening using organic principles that ensure preservation of the land as a renewable resource which can be handed down to future generations. They also share the fruit of their crops with the community through farmers markets and local restaurants.

Best tasting cantaloupe ever.
Will you have pie pumpkins later??
Not this year sorry!!
Wow that’s an amazing amount of tomatoes. I get to grow ~6 plants (limited space). It’s true in Florida they can get to ~20+ feet in length if you keep them to a single stem. Our season is over once summer is in full swing, I start my tomato seeds in mid/late September.
wow! Thanks for the comment! I've spent a lot of time in Florida mostly on vacation. My seeds are just starting.
Thanks! Have a nice day there sir!
👍
Moon& star. Gold type both are delicious .
Amazing garden
Running into a different problem this year on my strawberries. Have not seen this in 60 years of growing berries. The bottom of the berry stays green, even tho the rest of the berry is very ripe. From what I can learn it maybe due to frost or boron shortage. Will give them a boron treatment and see if the next ones due better. Any other suggestions you might have? Enjoy your videos. Have a nice weekend.
Hi Jack. This problem is more likely a chemical one. Keep trying to add natural fertilizers and trace minerals.
First time seeing your videos. You sure have it all dialed in on eating the right home grown food and good exercise. Sneaking up on 82, no health issues, enjoying life. Would not know what to do if there wasn’t gardening and yard work. Grow more than we can ever eat, sell enough to more than offset any costs. Here in the NW, we plant Walla Walla onions. They are not supposed to be keepers, but we just ran out of last year’s crop, APRIL 1st. Our big seller would be beets. Will be watching for more information from you.
Hi Jack, I hope I'm doing like you at 82! Yes, beets are my number one over all seller for 40 years running!!
This a short illustration of what "Organic Gardening" is all about !!! 🙃
I am so happy to see how many people from so many places have seen this video!!

Really valuable information! I’d like to hear more about the trees around your farm. Do you like to save a patch of woodlands near your fields?
Yes, we have kept almost all of our woodland, 40 acres, which is mostly Black Ash, an endangered tree. Our ground was opened just after the turn of the century. Having enough light for the crops is also crucial.
So many inappropriate joke possibilities... So little time. 😜
🤔
After a hard day at work I like to come home and drag my hoe around

You probably got that hoe at the Western Hardware store! Love your explanations Jeff. The channel is a great idea to share all the knowledge you've gained over the years gardening!
