Did you ever figure out what it was. Having the same issue
For me it's a plastic part by the gear lever. Opened it up and moved it into neutral, car started so leaving the car in neutral until I replace the part.

It definitely needs a lot of time and money spent on it. I think the best thing you could do is sell it to me.

It's easy to get overwhelmed, too many deals.
You need to get some Mopar's in your collection.
Mopar or no car. Mopar is what inspired me to try this channel. Watch a previous video of my 340 Cuda. Because of the pandemic I sold my 70 Plymouth Saterlite. I don't know if Dodge Viper is still Mopar but they are my favorite sports cars.

Yup, Built Superbosses, Sierras, e30 Bmws. Killarney was my favorite hang out place.

Ended up in a storage unit.
Ive been having no crank no start issue also on my g8 an easy way to save yourself money b4 jumping the gun and buying a starter is to directly jump the starter using wire from the underhood fuse box while ignition is on and tbh a bad starter would not lock your shifter i doubt the starter is bad check your grounds and make sure you didn't accidentally short anything and dont forget the various modules in these cars have age and aren't the most reliable either with age and use.

I charged the battery and is good.
Common problem with stuck shifter.
Now have to open stuff that I didn't need to.
Must be a fuse.
I checked.
