pure nostalgia! Back in my early teens, when I first played MotS, I was sort of sad that they hadn't included cinematic cutscenes like in the base game, but I got drawn into this awesome games story anyways. All coming back now, like the hours and hours of LAN multiplayer matches with friends or the countless times I replayed the base game and MotS. Those were the days 😅 thanks for the upload ☺️👍

gog galaxy has it for dirt cheap, managed to play it on windows 11.

Just listening to the sound effects and the in game alerts and voices is bringing me back into a state of mind I haven't been in for years. I can't even properly describe it. This is my favorite game ever.

I loved the AI for this game. Modifying it was so satisfying and simple to do with immediate results that changed the gameplay so much. Map building was great. It supported more playable races and in most cases you could easily enable another slot and add one from mods as they came out. Adding entire races to this game and then tweaking the AI was so much fun. It made the replay experience so fresh. They should have embraced the mod community as free developers and marketing.

I really got into the modding community for this game. I learned almost every game file and to use milkshape 3d and other 3d moddeling tools to make my own ships and stations. They had so many community made tools and assets for free. I would download mods or any content from other people across all A2 modding sites and combine them into a master game file I would play. My game had EVERY sci Fi ship and station from every show. Galactica, Babylon 5 , Stargate, hell I even had obscure ships and one offs like Galaxy quest. The federation was ever human race or earth based government. The rest had every ship from other mods. For example The Klingons could build over 150 ships from 12 shipyards and stations. I had made my own load screens, GUI and so much. I spent over 14 years playing and modding it. Then I just stopped one day when my computer died and I never bought another one. I still have the HDD with the build...

This game is so good, I've been playing it for 10 years straight every day, modded the game so much, and memorized every dialogue, strategies, paths. This game is so good!!

js, dont use multiple special weapons in same squad. just have one squad with all 4 hw as plasma, one w/ heavy bolters, and one squad w/ missiles

THE INTRO ISN'T A CUTSCENE! but it might happen in a real game as blood ravens if you go to the panrea lowlands and let the 'crons turtle enough.

Fantastic Video. I am looking for a rather specific clip from this game.. maybe you might know of it. There was a very short cutscene of the infantry fighting and dying, but where an infantryman is fighting over the corpse of his fallen brother. He is holding the enemy back so that the valkyrie may come and claim his fallen friend, but when the valkyrie arrives she sees his death is inevitable.. and takes him instead. I cant seem to find it any where, do you know of it?

I wish the base Armada II game included some Dominion elements. Really liked how this game included post DS9, Insurrection, and some Voyager elements. Fleet Ops at least is there to scratch the Dominion Armada II itch

Excellent job on this!!!!!👍👍👍 X2 the first x series game I tried, after family friend put it on the desk and said I might like it but it has a big learning curve. I officially clocked thousands of hours in every x game since. Que nostalgic memory's :) Would love to see the Albion prelude game as a movie, it would make the whole gate shut down theme make sense to players in rebirth and foundations (and Farnham's legacy) if they didn't play Albion prelude🙏🤞

After seeing both sides, I think the Dragon campaign was more fitting of the story though I might think the Dragon and the Darkvol might be related together astronomically speaking , the serpent side did have more questions than answers as what the motif of the Necromancer is and how on earth did an evil entity like that came to be (the closest thing we might get to a real fallen angel perhaps) and getting him was like having Darkvol to join your side. With evil against another evil and whatever this ancient monster has beef with Kenji’s lineage.

I admit, this might've been because of the german subtitles, as I don't know german, but here's what I don't understand (spoilers)- In the finale of the game, how on earth did Guybrush knew that the root beer that came out of the machine that he crashed into will have the same effect on Lechuck as the anti ghost mixture that the cannibals made for him on monkey island? Sure, they both contain a root, but did Guybrush just hoped that it would have had the same effect, or was he actually just trying to distract Lechuck by spraying him with root beer, without knowing that it would actually kill the ghost? Also, is it possible earlier in the game, when first encountering the grog machine, to actually check out its content? No offence, Buh, but the editing of this video makes it look like the root beer solution came out of nowhere in the end. Had you been shown checking out the machine earlier, and able to show the audience that it contains root beer, it would've helped foreshadowing what will happen in the finale, instead of making the root beer solution be a LITERAL deus ex machina.
