    Awesome episode guys...can't help thinking about what would happen if we could get a bunch of Driven people into a room together 🎉. So many aha moments in here...funnily enough when I was a kid I wanted to be a navy seal!! Being a girl no one took me seriously...I did drive my own path to becoming a deep sea diver though...so never say never...maybe I will get to be a navy seal one day 😅. Going to buy Driven NOW;) Keep up the great work Andre 💪🙏

    What I do not understand is... If you printed the most important out, then you have already gone through them all. So the trick is not to get distracted on purpose?

    • @theimplusivethinker
      @theimplusivethinker Місяць тому

      You are correct @nielshebsgarrd919 on both counts!. We have to ALWAYS have to set up our environment to not get distracted on purpose! AND, technically I did go thru the emails. I did not act on the emails at that time. Printing them out keeps out of my email program and have the printed versions so I can see and manipulate the order as the day and week went on. The distraction for me is OUTLOOK. Next email that comes in my brain will want to attack that next because it is going to be in my way of the previous emails. The ADHD brain has a challenge processing things inside our mind and we can't keep things in order in our mind. THerefore, get it out of the brain so in can come back in another way. My printing, I am getting my eyes to see the physical tasks (ie. emails) creating a new path into my brain via the eyes. Does this help? I may have ran on and on!!

      A psychologist can assess you for it. If you have a medical school in your community they should have a behavioral health department you can call and ask them. If not, get on the web and research mental health professionals in your area. Make a few phone calls and ask questions. You got this!

    • @theimplusivethinker

      Thanks for listening and sharing. Yes a psychologist that knows and understands Adult ADHD is a starting point. In the meantime @jaylenear871 you visit the Centre of ADHD Canada (CADDAC) for resources and recommendations at www.caddac.ca. Many international sources use the CADDAC website. They can also help direct you to someone local.
