Raploch.....All Our Stories.....
Globalsound were contracted in January 2014 to Produce a film and facilitate a series of workshops entitled 'Stories of Raploch Remembered' for Raploch Community Partnership. The project was designed to gather an oral, written and visual history of Raploch folk, encompassing everyday life, work and play in Raploch during the 20th Century.
This successful project helped locals by encouraging and supporting the community to research and interview their grandparents, elderly relatives and neighbors about the Raploch they remembered when they were young.
The project culminated in a open film premiere on March 22nd 2014 with live audience at the Raploch Community Campus.

My father was born in Bruce street and when he had an electrical business when he was older he always said the raploch account was the best because you would have just finished putting the fittings in and they would already be taken than out to sell so making future work haha 🤣

@@runrig5099 hello runrig seen your comment my gran lived at 6a.hawthorn crescent i used to go and see her when a was a wee boy with my mum and dad a lived in denny at the time. my uncles from the raploch were angus.peter. jim. walter and tom penman.my uncle angus was living at hazell bank gardens till he moved to causwayhead he passed away over a year ago all my uncles are dead now.my uncle anguses daughter and husband own the highland hotel in dounne.

Brought back a lot of childhood memories around the old mill back in the early sixties
