Dont buildthis alone, I destroyed my back doing it
Seperate monitor stand or rig mounted??? And why????
How did you access the bolt holes on the base of the seat? I’m probably missing something simple but the seat material is covering all 4 bolt holes
Fix the plate to the seat before fixing the plate onto base and fix the seat with the plate onto base ;)
@smoothdriver4172 is it Large (1200) or Small (800) monitor stand from TrakRacer? Thank you
Hey there! Nice build! Is your seat from Trak Racer too or did you buy it somewhere else?
it is from Trak Racer
Which seat is on this rig?
They had only 2 options, 1 is the bucket seat, the other one is the GT, GT one is installed in the video.
Thanks for sharing how it’s done. Really good to have all the perspectives you’ve shared. Great job. Huge effort building by yourself too 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
SmoothDriver is awesome. Like me.
What size monitors do you have? I’m looking to do 42 inch OLED LG C2
mines are 27" 2K
Good video just not a fan of the depressing music.
thanks for the feedback
Having just built one of these things. I’m gonna bet that vacuum cleaner gets a lot of use!
Hi, I have a question I'm going for the TR160 but still didn't make up my mind on the pedals plate like yours or the aluminum profile with heel plate note that I have a Heusinkveld sprint with the Heusinkveld plate, so my question is did you notice any flex with your Trak racer pedals plate?
If you are asking whether the plate is bending/flexing under pressure, answer is; no-way! Super heavy duty plate, more than 10 pounds.
Why there are no endcaps at the end of the monitor profils?😅
:) I put them later on
Did you find the recliner seat a bit tight around hips ?
If I use the seat other than racing, it is not comfortable, but during racing I don't notice. I am not a skinny guy, but It still fits like a glove :)
17:38 For sure my monitor would be on the ground cracked when I come back! Good job on the build 👍
:D
My thoughts exactly, brave man!
I Noticed you had your mats rolled up and a weight on your monitor stand. Is the rig moving around on the floor.
Good catch. Mats were temporary for moving the rig to its final position (it was easier to slide with those mats). I removed them afterwards. Weights were for securing the the monitor stand doesn't lean and fall, but I tested many times afterwards, monitor stand is solid now. No need for weights.
btw, there is no chance that rig moves around on the floor, it is super heavy.
@@smoothdriver4172 Thank you for your response. I will be ordering 1 soon once my room is rearranged. Thanks again SmoothDriver very informative vid.
Please give me this setup I have no money
I would have gave it to you but I need it :(
Can you keep that mat LED one color? Also, did that seat bottom have a place you could drill in a cylinder for a buttkicker? Like a bar going across? Thanks looks great!!
Sorry for the late reply. Yes I can fix mat LED to one color. For installing buttkicker, I have no knowledge, but it seems Trakracer sells some modes to install such. Check here --> trakracer.com/products/buttkicker-mount-installation-kit.
I have the TR120 and the triple monitor stand. If you want to make your life much easier, before building the triple monitor stand buy the Sim Labs XERO-PLAY™ Triple Pivot Adapters Set and the Sim Labs Vario Vesa Adapter kit. Yes it's another chuck of change but well worth it. Makes getting everything lined up perfect so easy and no sag with the Xero-play adapters. I love my Trak Racer rig but those pieces from Sim Lab are a game changer.
Thanks for the tip!
Hey man thanks for the tip, I was searching for exactly what you just stated, having just purchased the TR160 yesterday. So 11 month's later your comment was very helpful 👍
@@SiCaRiI_DaGgEr Glad I could help. Enjoy your new rig!
Respect - great Job, nice Video.
Glad you liked it!
what graphic card are you using for your sim rig ?
I have the RTX 2070 super, getting 80fps (with 2k res.) during the game with 3 monitors + 1 smaller one for some race information.
@@smoothdriver4172 Thank you for your answer 👍
this looks like a nightmare to assemble
@@atticushexcel9567 I ordered mine 2 days ago now the waiting game
yes it was
@@smoothdriver4172 but was it worth it? And how long did you have to wait until you got your shipping notification and how long did it take to ship to you?
Yeah, it was worth it. It is pretty solid and many possibilities to adjust or fine tune. Shipment was quite fast to be honest. I got all the parts within 10 days. (Living in NJ)
@@smoothdriver4172 I'm in ohio placed my order Thursday haven't had any updates yet
I honestly not think i could be fucked .. looks like it takes a long time to do..
yes I was going nuts with the amount of work I had to put. :/. But I could be more systematic, plan everything in advance carefully.
Great video. I actually have the same chair and went through the same "oh shit" moment when I saw no obvious hole in the chair I could screw the plastic cover into. Turns out the metal hole is actually threaded so does in fact screw in without a problem. The plastic cover also needs to be pushed in with some force in order for the screw to meet the thread.
Metal hole is threaded!? thanks for the heads-up!
Is this the newest version of the 160?
I think so. I ordered it last January.
Araba yapmış kadar olmuşsun bravo valla, nice güzel sonuçlu yarışlara 🏆
