Worth checking this out - PINK DROP = Pink Venom x MIC Drop by AleXa x Rolling Quartz 롤링쿼츠 x 알렉사 (BTS & BLACKPINK Rock Cover) - yet another side to their talents - ua-cam.com/video/geSy4yOLfl8/v-deo.html BTW - don't know where you're based but they're embarking on a big European then North American Tour this year so they might be coming to a theatre near you soon 😉
I come back to mafumafu reactions from time to time, maybe once every 7-8 months. And from my experience. THIS is the best reaction. Loved the lyric breakdowns
Or these ones if you want to hear their rap ua-cam.com/video/pHMH408ltEM/v-deo.htmlsi=suOna7G7DRWyRLXx ua-cam.com/video/CIv-d_366z0/v-deo.htmlsi=DdTTCv3Biey_vJ2f
This song, this band are so freaking dope.
It's great that you like HAGANE this much 👍 Thanks for the reaction! Did you know that Nagi started her own youtube channel? Check it out, she sings live there, I mean without post editions, at least in my opinion🔥 As for Junna, I love her, watched her long before HAGANE, she has a very contrasting personality. She can be a little shy at times, be cute and be wild ( when she is behind drum set)). Watch her other social accounts. It's wonderful that Sakura was able to invite her. I didn't know about HAGANE, just watched recommended video, saw JUNNA and started to dig them further and fell in love with the new line up. Sakura is highly skilled herself. Their combination with JUNNA is absolutely insane, overflow of energy ⚡⚡⚡ Sayaka is a little uptight but sure is skilled as well, I like her bass solo. Would be perfect if we could see one day Sakura and Sayaka duel, like Misa and Kanami did xD
Thank you for your accurate comments from Japan. ATARASHII GAKKO! is celebrating its 10th debut anniversary this year. The group's concept is "breaking out with individuality and freedom in an intolerant society," so their attitude is punk. Their early songs were often jazz-rock pieces themed around school life, but recently, their music has been a fusion of rock, punk, and hip-hop. The content usually consists of songs encouraging us when we feel overwhelmed in an intolerant society. For songs with heavy rap elements, check out "FlyHigh" and "Change."
MTH is one of my favorite metal bands. Can't recommend more of them enough. Atarashii gakko is wild, and one of the few pop groups I like, largely because most of their songs sound almost nothing like their other songs. My favorite song from them is titled Seishuun Wo Kirisaku Hado. It's got kind of an old school 90's hip hop/rock vibe thay reminds me a lot of the beastie boys, and I think they kill it.
Otona Blue is unlike every other Atarashii Gakko song. Their early stuff was Jazz Fusion. Lately they've been working with a producer for the Beastie Boys and a lot of their songs sound like the Beastie Boys. Especially Toyko Calling.
I am a total metalhead and love AG and there are quite a few of us out there. They have never ever really done metal but have many songs with cool ass drum and guitar solos that are a mixture of harder rock and jazz with pop thrown in. My personal favorite is Koi Geba which also has a somber topic of inappropriate teacher student relationships, the video is very good.
Power Metal bring you a joyful, a bravely, a feeling of victory or become a hero in a way of adventure, in fantasy world where you fight a dragon, slay demon and evils, etc. Also this is actually "Symphonic Power Metal" where Power Metal + some of synth, piano, opera choir, etc. with harmonic sounding, become a angelic, god feeling In this song, its theme is about knights and Dracula nobles, a prince fall in love with princess, rose represent for love, etc.
Babymetal just started a radio show in Japan on Saturday nights (the first one was yesterday). Next week is their first episode with guests, and it will be Atarashi Gakko. Maximum the Hormone is not afraid of using different genres if it will work. On the same single that this song came out on, they did another song with an artist called Ano, who sounds like a kawaii anime character (and plays one on tv) and that has parts which are EDM.
@@silirat interesting about the radio show. I am familiar with ano. Have a playlist of a good few of her songs.
AG are great collaborators, and this is their best collaboration so far.
Some MTH songs have a message that is reasonably clear. When it comes to Shimi? No clue. You had the lyrics there. Did they make sense? That said - this is one of my favorite videos.
The video imagery really helps make the message of it more comprehensible. It's about emotional/spiritual baggage/attachment manifesting as spiritual "stains" and getting rid of that stain by breaking free of those attachments.
The message here is AG! are selling a new biological detergent. Shimi means stain and AG! put their hands inside their shirts and push them out to show the stain...at least that was an initial thought and it got into the choreography and the video. AG!'s and MTH's musical styles are very different, but they are both iconoclasts and so work well together. AG! take on most of the more melodic verses that were originally sung by Nao, MTH's drummer, but she still gets to sing in the final verse before the ensemble ending. Rin is a great rapper and AG! have quite a few songs where she will rap. Check out "Nai Nai Nai" and if you want to see AG! headbanging again look at Mayoeba Totoshi ua-cam.com/video/XqrNAnsWFQs/v-deo.html
If you want to check out what kind of show Atarashi Gakko put on and just how f**king crazy they are ( especially Suzuka the lead singer ) then I'd recommend checking out the live version of " Nainainai " from a sold out Hollywood Palladium in L.A. a few months ago towards the end of their sold out World Tour - it's something else - ua-cam.com/video/D2sFGkPbC7E/v-deo.html ENJOY !
Atarashii Gakko is a grab bag of sounds and Otona Blue is just one of those sounds. I highly recommend going through more of there songs because I guarantee you will have a greater appreciation for them as artists. If you want rap heavy then NAINAINAI is a good place to start. If you want songs with deeper message than Tokyo Calling is another good starter song from them.
Atarashii Gakko's most rappy rap song is "NaiNaiNai", though it is a bit teeny boppy. They have done covers of 21 Savage's "Lazy Suzan" and the Beastie Boys' "Intergalactic", but only live. The song "Change" has rap in it. "Giri Giri" has a little rap in it but has a sick beat.
Atarashii Gakko has tons of rap songs. They are working with the Beastie Boys producer who did whatever album Intergalactic was on.
Maybe that is the problem, when you base your perception in one song. If there a word that defines AG is eclectic. Since you are metal head, maybe you should start by listening to Seishun wo kirisaki hado, which is going to be a sound closer to what you are accustomed to. AG has many sounds and so far, I have seen them doing pop, rock, jazz, hip hop, rap, disco, ska, and others that I'm sure flew over my head.
Atarashii gakko поют в разных стилях. Otonablue всего лишь одна из многочисленных песен.
"Shimi" and "Yoshu Fukushu" are my favourite MtH songs. I love this video. Shimi means 'stain' or 'blemish'. Nemophila did a great cover of this song during the lockdown times. Try and go see it, it's really good. Thanks for this! 🙂
Thanks for this reaction! Loved that you listened to the song completely and then going through the video analysing! I'm curious about more reactions to stray kids 🔥
please please please react to stray kids solo MV, each member of stray kids had a solo song and music video, 8 songs for 8 members, it's called "Skz Player" (the solos names: I.N "hallucation", Seungmin "As We Are", Felix "Unfair", Han "Hold My Hand", Hyunjin "So Good", Changbin "Ultra", Lee Know "Youth", Bang Chan "Railway")
Stray Kids have a very large discography 200+ songs they also don't stick to one genre. While 3racha (Bang Chan, Changbin and Han) write the majority of their music all the members have writing credits. They are very unique compared to most other groups. Other groups/solos that you would most likely enjoy Ateez, Epic High, Tiger JK/ Drunken Tiger and Agust D. Stray Kid's have done calabs with Tiger JK - Top Line and Tablo from Epic High - U. There is an MV for Top Line but only a lyric video for U. They have also done intro/outros for the anime Tower of God. Top and Slump for season one. Night and Falling Up for season 2. Why? is also an ost for something but don't remember what. Night, Falling Up and Why? are all on their latest Japanese album Giant.
Want fun songs / MV by Skz, check out JJam, Case 143, & Cheese.
i love the 'indiana' aspect of this mv. it makes an otherwise fairly standard video into something cool and funny. man i could watch junna for hours
@@thedocofrock1890 I just imagine how fun it must've been with the green screen. I bet they had an amazing time.
@@TwistedGunZ it must be a blast making an mv. LOVEBITES are my #1 but there are so many amazing japanese girl groups i'm losing count. a couple of newer entries are PALENEO , PARADOXX and EAST OF EDEN. they just keep coming out of the woodwork !
They have the serious rap songs, but they also have the happy rap. If you want more serious stuff look at things like changbin (one of the rappers) - street light. Music video and then the lyric video. Honestly they have everything. Super poppy songs, japanese songs, hiphop, edm, ballads. If you want to see a whole other side to them I'd recommend Cover Me (no music video available but there are lyric video's) or Neverending Story (Sotry that won''t end) live (it's older but it's great). And no, Harry Potter does not walk on water, but he's basically saying, I'm doing things nobody else can, it's magic.
If you like rap, listen to “Topline” from Stray Kids or “Heyday”
2025 is the year of Hagane, 100% sure ¡¡
@@carlosretamal1567 I agree! I hope its not limited to only one year but every year going forward!
*Thank you so much* for reacting to Hágane. They deserve any attention they can possibly get. Like your opinion, they easily made it into the top 5 of *my* personal Metal favourites - together with Lovebites, Nemophila, Hanabie and Iron Maiden. The skills these bands have are _insane_ , and I personally am somehow amazed that the *future* of Metal generally seems to be all--female and Japan-based. DE/GER
Hagane are fantastic and keep getting better. Junna is the most entertaining drummer around. Sakura is absolutely world class. Nagi is an incredible find.
An _amazing_ line-up. What a stroke of luck for metalheads. I see Hágane going places.
Junna has no peers, she is totally a 'one off.' Her flair, precision and power are unmatched in my opinion and even 'El Estapario Siberiano' called her " The final boss of the drums." Nagi, as a singer, is in the same class...what a powerful and beautiful voice she has. And it goes without saying just how great Sakura and Sayaka are. This band is so tuneful and melodic and I love them. Great reaction to a great group.
Beautiful reaction!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍HAGANE❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!
A little info, Nagi is actually a slow ballad and classical singer like old Japanese songs and she is also fluent in English pronunciation in song covers plus it seems she also one of ONE OK ROCK's fans, because on social media he has also used ONE OK ROCK songs several times in several of his posts
Maybe it can be seen in HAGANE's song "Connect" Live MV, it is Hagane's second song which only exists in demo CD format and is limited to only a few people who have it, and the song has been sung by 3 generations of Hagane vocalists, namely Chemi (2018 ), Uyu (2020) and Nagi (2024)And what's unique is that it's the first song from HAGANE's incarnation with a slow genre and is full of English lyrics.
Have you listened to stray kids sound from their japanese album they have a music video for it
@@KarenHelton-pg6po I have not but considering 90% of my music is Japanese, that will definitely be the next choice when I revisit them!
Stray Kids are kings of 4th gen wordplay. Most Western reactors talk about the things they recognise in tge lyrics, and assume that the references are just as read, but it's definitely not the case. "You can call me Harry Pottter" refers to the magic they create with their music, and the hardships they've had to overcome to get to where they are now. Han refers to Nemo, whom he can't see because Stray Kids remain above the water. Other 'Western' references similarly have double meanings, but they remain fun and relatable examples of Stray Kids wordplay.
I Love your reaction thank you so much ❤ STRAY KIDS EVERYWHERE ALL AROUND THE WORLD ❤❤
Can I suggest you to listen to The Rose....they are k-band -they have more of pop rock music -seen them live in Austria and they are amazing

Harry Potter... a reference to a rapper called Potter, also, you're a Wizard Harry, referring to his skills
SKZ is the hardest group out there. They consistently pound out bangers.
Their best Japanese song, i think, is Social Path ft. LiSA. Felix just did the OST for Solo Leveling with her.
If you want to ease in through their Japanese songs, try 'The Sound' and 'Giant' albums. Many of Stray Kids speak Japanese well, they show this at their many concerts in Japan. They speak a few different languages between them all. 2 of them are Australian, so English is their first language and the others are quite fluent, which means they have English lyrics throughout many songs. Having said that, it's their music and style I'm here for, they just sound so good! Stray Kids are pretty different from other Korean bands - they're not manufactured (they chose their own members) and they write and produce their own music, with little input from their company. On top of this they're just great, funny, humble guys. Definitely worth a listen. Pick any song of theirs, all are absolute bangers with epic MVs.
Thank you for checking out more K-pop and Stray Kids. Since they write and produce 99.9% of their own music, they are the best at mixing genres, sounds, melodies and arrangements. This song was a tribute to old school hip hop and off the newest album Hop., included in their album, is an Intro MVs which explain their concepts of the album, MVs and lyrics, even delving into the actual production of the songs, if you find that interesting. - Stray Kids also has albums in Japanese. Because they produce their own music they love to experiment with their sound and style of music and they can produce more albums per year and being from a one of the 3 biggest Korean entertainment companies, they have the most m/v out per album. Like this latest album, Hop has 8 solo tracks one from each member and we are getting music videos for each one, plus the title track. 'Walking on Water' , so the 9 MVs out of 12 tracks from that album. The fandom name is STAY (not a typo). Their tagline at the end of each Korean m/v is 'Stray Kids everywhere around the world, you make Stray Kids Stay'. This is paying tribute to their fans that the only reason they exist is because of their fans. Their last 6 consecutive albums have debut at hit #1 billboard 200 and the first group to do so. They just won the billboard best K-pop group of the year twice. - I hope you check out more Stray Kids I think you will love their music. Here is a few suggestions: Japanese: Giant Album, (most recent-no subtitles), M/Vs: Circus m/v, Social Path w/LiSA, All In, The Sound, Battleground, Korean: M/Vs: Easy, Megaverse, Mountains, Thunderous, Venom, S-Class, Double Knot, or even their heavy drill/rap/funky beats OSTs.. lyrics: 3Racha, We Go, Heyday, Bounce back, Slash. 🖖🏽😁
BOUNCE BACK.....MWAH, my favourite track on the album
If you haven't already, I would suggest checking out their Japanese titles as well. Giant is the most recent and it's great
For rap, I'd listen to Topline from them and then Megaverse, Han has some insane raps in Megaverse as well as Changbin. But really, u can never go wrong with ANY of their songs. Stray Kids are jst on a whole different level... Btw, I luv ur reaction videos to them...chef's kiss 😊
I appreciate the kind words. I will keep your recommendations in mind for when I return to them in the future!
Its refreshing that you aren't reacting in an exaggerated way. Thank you for your sincerity. Stray kids music is always fun and interesting. Please react to more Skz content. 🥰
@@mayraortiz3479 I appreciate that. I do struggle with showing much emotions outwardly 😅. I am usually pretty monotone but try to express myself through words.
Thank you for your reaction ! I hope you will react to all the album Hop. Specially because there are 12 tracks and 9 M/V's . I'm sure you'll at least enjoy it! Skz never miss!🥰
Harry Potter did not walk on water, the term walk on water is a metaphor for performing a miracle/magic. Harry Potter did do magic.
- They did refer a "Basilisk" line from Harry Potter but that was more like a 'snakelike' creature that froze people who it look at. The lyrics are actually referencing the Basilisk lizard that literally runs on water. It uses speed & driving force to run on the surface of water. It's also called the Jesus lizard because of that. I love that lyricist Han's [3Racha] love of nature documentaries comes through in fun lines like this. But they do speak of more serious things also in their rap lines when necessary. 🖖🏽😁
Stray kids never disappoints. Have you checked out mountains, the rock version of LaLaLaLa or Han’s solo from this album. They are more rock based
