Hi Anya, does the area experience snowfall in late december/early january?
@@buggydes I guess so. That was the time I traveled to this place
@@wanderfulanya Alright. Will give it a go then. Thank you!
Do you think 3 or 4 days would be enough time for a road trip there?
@@CassandraAscencio NO. I am sure you will love the place. You need a week to enjoy the region. However, you can drive prefectures in three days if you do fast track trip
And what date was this taken? November?
It's possible to use tripod inside the tsutaya bookstore? 🥺 Im going solo too next month
living so close to Mt. Fuji must be incredible
@@elvispastiche I got so lucky!!!
Hi may i know what date did you visit that you get to see the snow?
@@FT-od4xv January
Is ir possible yo get there using busses ir train?
By bus 😊
Thanks so much for posting this video. It brought back so many memories, as I lived in that town (Higashiyama) from 1990 to 1993, and visited Geibikei many times. In fact, after the graduation ceremony each March at the town junior high school where I taught, we would have lunch on the flat-bottomed boats with all the students. Geibikei is one of Japan's 100 "Beauty Spots" (日本百景), and draws many visitors all year long. It's lovely any season - I've been when the trees and cliffs are covered in snow, as well as in the spring when it's an explosion of blossoms. (By the way, the name is indeed Geibikei...it looks like they lost a few letters on the sign on the ticket building.) Oh and P. S. - unless something has changed, camping is not allowed there as far as I'm aware.
🙇♀️ Thank you for watching my video. I would want to create more videos for UA-cam.
Hey, one if the few real travel videos in the Iya Valley. I would love to visit the Iya Valley this summer. Did you stay there over night? Is it only accessable by car? I would be soooo greatful for some information about this place.
Hello! I did not stay there overnight. I left after an hour. The goal when I went to Shikoku was to travel all the prefectures.
When did you go in this VDO it’s so stunning view 😮
Hello! I think it was in February.😊
Hi you’re really brave to be doing this solo driving in Shikoku. Thanks for sharing your driving experience. I’m sure it’s been draining for you. Thank God that you’re safe. Always travel safe. ❤
Hi there ! Love the video:) I was wondering, is driving in mid January ok ? Im planning to drive from nagano station to hakuba (happo one) thank you !!
You mean next year? That’s fine
Could you kindly share your itinerary and suggest where to rent a car? We'll be in Fukuoka Feb 29 to March 7
Looks so beautiful! We plan to take a road trip from Tokyo to Hakuba early March. Would you happen to know if snow tires, snow chains, or 4wd is needed?
Thank you. For the past 4 years that I have been driving around Nagano, driving in early March means you need snow tires. Snow chains or 4wd is not needed. Not unless you’ll pass by Niigata, Toyama and Gifu.
Okay, thanks so much for the info!
@@michelle6555 you’re welcome! Please enjoy your trip. I al sure you will love Nagano ♥️♥️
I went this year, it was amazing. We stayed at the ryokan so we could take a bath with the monkeys 😅
