I love Extreme. They are excellent musicians.
In a way, this is Extreme's best song. Probably their most unique. It was a mistake not to include this on Punchline. Had this and There Is No God been singles with decent videos rather than Hip Today, that album might have been a success
Better than Kiss's version. The leads and bg vocals are crushing here. Great raw rock tones on all the instruments too. Miss the 90s

I love the cd-single released in July 1994. 1. There Is No God (edit) 2. Never Been Funked 3. Better Off Dead. I really thought the album was gonna be great. Only an overlenght version of God was included. Just didn’t enjoy the album (2/95). Some people tried to convince me otherwise because of Nuno’s guitar sound etc. But I love to revisit the sound of Summer ’94 with these tracks mentioned.

If you like slow, heavy metal songs, this one is for you. But saying that this is better than the original is like comparing apples to oranges. Anyone who listen to KISS for rock n' roll is going to get bored by this song. It's all about personal taste.

Ask Eddie. VH3 is quite possibly the worst mixed record in history.
A donkey produced the album.
Why didn’t Gary’s voice sound like this in Van Halen? Where was the vibrato? I love both Van Halen and Extreme, but Van Halen III should have sounded better.
Because Eddie produced that album and had Gary scream like Sammy in every song instead of letting him be himself. People blame Gary for that album but it's Eddies' fault. It should have been produced by Donn Landee or Ted Templeman, anybody but Eddie who is too in love with himself to realize it wasn't good.
