Hi! Love how your porch came out! Your porch is similar size to mine. I always tell my viewers I can’t film straight on because the neighbors would see haha. Great leaf pillows and other pillows and rug match great!❤ wish I could fit more mums.
@@heidishumblehome2178 Thanks!! Yes it’s a challenge to film! Especially when it’s rained non stop for past week. We just got Mums in the stores. My neighbors know that I have a UA-cam channel so they know that I decorate early and film.. lol!

@@kristybowman8731 we plan to remove it because it’s not structural. We’re gonna replace the one with a box wood one and add one at the other end .. so it will be symmetrical with a flag holder. But will do a video on it . But unfortunately that project is down the line. I have seen where you can just cover it with wood too!!
Your new porch rug matches your brick perfectly. The wreath you and your granddaughter made is better than a Hobby Lobby wreath...and there are the memories of making it together.

@@leekitchens4303 So you totally understand the struggle with weather.. lol. Nana’s Attic in Lake park .. there are few others in that strip that I can’t recall their names. Repeat Boutique (2) locations in Valdosta. I hit every Goodwill that I see… There is a fellow UA-camr that has hit I think every Antique and Thrift store in South Georgia. She has videos on them too!! Mandy’s old soul Vintage. If you subscribe tell her I sent you!!

In our home the pets are part of our family til the day they die and spoiled something fierce!!! Just Thankful my husband and I are of the same mind when it comes to the animals . We have two senior cats, one cat that I co own with granddaughter ( lives here because my daughter in law is allergic) and finally my son’s cat. Than two small dogs and the German shepherd pup.
Now I know❤ where to purchase the copper salt and pepper mills! Thanks a million

You have done a fantastic job, especially with Hobby Lobby/ Dollar Tree/ Walmart, etc. decor! I agree, the first picture is stunning! If I had more disposable income for decorating (we will be downsizing soon) and if I were able to get out more, those would be the places that I would hit. Well done!
@@opinionated2 the picture only cost $7 from hobby lobby but the thrifted frame was $10. It was my inspiration piece!!! I understand about down sizing.. that’s what this house was. We have been here 2 yrs this December, still trying to find better storage options ( husband looked at this house alone) there is not very good storage/ closets here. But we all adjust!! Are you staying in same area or moving away?? And Thank you for your wonderful compliments 💕
@@Ahometolove You're welcome! We are in a large city in the South, and with my husband retiring soon, we plan to purchase something smaller and get away from the city! That means less space for cleaning (and decorating), which will be fine with me. Sometimes the way we place our regular items in the kitchen can take on a beauty of their own! And a few well placed decorations can go a long way. I have many fond memories of my years going "all out" in decorating my home for the holidays. I will always cherish those memories. I am now in a different season of life, as they say, although I still love to make sure that my home expresses my unique style.
@@opinionated2 I think you have said it well. I am in Southern GA and in years past I decked every hall, wall and space. I than took a very long break.. health issues. Now since I am closer to my Grandbabies I am back to watching those little eyes light up with the holiday wonder that is Mamaws. I agree that everyday decorating can make a home beautiful and practical!!
Hi! I have trouble spots in every room lol! Sometimes ideas come easy sometimes not. Also we work with what we have right?!? Still want to get a scalloped tray like yours. ❤
@@heidishumblehome2178 Thanks for comments!!! There are times it takes me a couple of days when working on a space. If I get stuck, walk away and than come back to it. The tray was from Walmart but I have seen some at Homegoods too.

I only decorate for holidays in my living room dinin room guest bath kitchen family room and porch You can sometime find nice furniture at furniture consignment stores I got a nice loveseat made of leather at a consignment store for 500dollars
Unfortunately where I live everything is very expensive unless I want to travel over an hour to two hours for it. Only rooms I didn’t decorate for fall this year is master bedroom, husbands office and sons room.
So beautiful!! Its simplistic but so perfect!! I wouldnt change a thing! I'd like the whole tour, but ill watch anything you decide!!♥️

The living room looks beautiful, love the new rug. I’m a maximalist so for me more is better so you can never have too much in a room. I love room tours when the entire room is shown not just the decor.
@@angelanapier4248 My husband is a minimalist so it’s always a compromise especially the living room 🤪 The rug was worth the day 3 hour round trip to get it. Plus with upcoming fireplace project I couldn’t do much on the mantle. Thanks for commenting Angela!!

Great video. I love that you decorate in a practical way that works for the family and it’s not a showroom where you can’t relax. I was so happy to see your cat tree where you have food for your kitties. I have been trying to find a solution for my cat’s food so the dog doesn’t eat it up. That tree is perfect. Do you remember where you got it?
Off FB market years ago. German shepherd can now reach the cat food.. but the two cats are seniors which means I can’t move it higher. I live with 4 cats, 2 small dogs and 1 German shepherd pup. What you see is how we live, don’t put everything away. Try to be very realistic in the videos.

Older homes have challenges. This current house in southern GA has “ No Storage” ..lol. Everything else is quirky but workable.
