    Arlie Schorger was my great grandfather, he studied and wrote about the extinction of the passenger pigeon he was also a professor at the university of Wisconsin. His son my grandfather left the us to join the British and drive ambulances in Africa before pearl harbor and the usa's entrance to the war he later returned to the us joined the merchant Marines and graduated the day after Germany surrendered. He graduated Harvard and eventually co founded the department of middle eastern anthropology at the University of Michigan. He was my first art mentor, and an amazing human

    New World monkeys are almost exclusively arboreal, or tree-dwelling. Panamanian white-faced capuchins come down to the ground more often than other monkeys in the region.

      I've never seen a long documentary on it but there have been some great series. Walking with Dinosaurs, which aired in 1999, is a good one. I've never seen Prehistoric Planet but I've heard it's very well-done too.

    There are three other species of junglefowl, all placed in the genus Gallus: the grey junglefowl, the green junglefowl, and the Sri Lankan junglefowl. All are believed to have contributed to the rise of the chicken.

      That's correct.The secretary bird is in the same order as the other raptors, Accipitriformes, but placed in its own family, Sagittariidae.
