Be Inspired By Art Not Jealous

It can be easier to be inspired by art not jealous if you look for inspiration in the work of fellow artists. Someone may be an excellent author or painter, but they didn't start that way. When you look at another artist’s work use it for inspiration. Don’t look at your art and feel it’s not good enough or think maybe you should quit. See their work as inspiration. How to Make Time to Appreciate Your Creativity 🥰
Amazing video
Hi 👋🏾. I enjoyed sharing it. Thank you for taking the time to watch. 💐
It's so refreshing seeing peoplw showing a "real sketchbook" , with mistakes and all the learning. To show only the perfect artworks does make begginers think we ha "the gift" (I think we all think this 😂) Great video!
Hi 👋🏾. I'm glad you liked the video, thank you. 🙏🏾 It's scary sharing work that's rough and filled with mistakes, but they're a good reminder of how far we've come. 🤗
I really needed to hear this. Thanks so much ma for sharing this. God bless you 🙏
Please explore the difference between jealousy and…envy!
Hi 👋🏾. I will. It's interesting how closely aligned they are, though they do have subtle nuances.
I love your attitude! ‘It showed me how far I have to go but it also showed me what was possible with my work.’ What a beautiful video about reframing your mindset! Hearing your stream of consciousness as you work through your own creative journey is inspiring! 💛
Hi. 👋🏾 Thank you very much. 🌻
Hey! Just wanted to say as much as I personally struggle with these comparison issues, your video brought a smile to my face and was just nice to watch :) Thank you for this <3
Hi. Thank you for watching, I'm glad to hear the video made you smile. 🌻 You're very welcome.
Shai, you are 100% right. I am 47 and drawing more consistently in the past year than I ever have. I suppose there are times of life that are more or less conducive to having a creative practice, but really, we just have to get down to it, even if its 10 minutes, or a half hour. Even if it's terrible. Doing is the main thing, the skill grows along with the doing. Keep going!
Hey @aylan.6212, I’m so pleased to hear that you’re drawing more consistently, because it can often be the hardest thing to do - to show up for our creative endeavours. I had to smile at your comment; “even if it’s terrible”. We all create art that comes out terrible sometimes, but just keep going, because that’s how we get better.

Wow, that's fabulous. 🥳Being creative and making art is one of the most amazing gifts a person can have. I'm so pleased to hear you're still creating. Never stop and keep enjoying what you do. 🌻🧡

Hi Tammy. You’re very welcome. I’m glad to hear this video helped. 🙏🏾
I'm so lucky to live close by and loved vlogging the festival this year!
"PromoSM"
What is it called and where did you purchase it.
Hi.☺ I bought it from a UK based company called The Big Orchard - www.thebigorchard.com. This is the one I bought - www.thebigorchard.com/shop/priory/a1-priory/counter-weight-pm/
It's an important consideration, nice video Shai! ❤
Hi😊. Thank you very much 🙏🏾 for your comment. I tried to think of the most important points.
Very well put :)
Absolutely loved this, thanks so much for diving into it! I found the three-chunks-method and setting boundaries for work week and social/selfcare time very helpful. Restructuring my week will definitely help with my creative projects. All the best for your studies and see you in the next video :)
Thank you for this informative and relaxing video! It was really nice following your creative routine and I loved to see it being quite realistic. I started a writing routine thanks to one of your advice videos and I hope I can stick to it. Work is starting again in a few days and I was wondering whether you could talk about tips how to implement creative rituals into an otherwise busy work day/work week. I'd love to hear your ideas for it. All the best :)
So glad that youtube recommended this to me :) I've been planning to write a novel for ages and over the years I have collected so many ideas that I managed to get myself stuck with the sheer amount of first pages that I've come up with. Since I finally want to finish the first draft for my first and biggest novel idea, I was looking for a video like this and I love the energy and motivation you put into your video. I'll try your approach, thank you so much. Btw, for future videos like this, it might be beneficial to sit a bit closer to the book case since the camera was readjusting a lot. Maybe it helps it focussing. All the best :)
Hello Noah. Thank you for your message.🙏🏾 Having the writing app open up at login made a huge difference for me because it was the first thing I would see and be a reminder to get on with my novel. I will keep it in mind your point about the camera. I had it set on auto focus which with hindsight was not the best idea. 😊 Good luck with your writing. 🌻
