I believe so, just the throttle/peddle speed was controlled electronically if I remember correctly.
@diyamerican Do you not have the bike anymore? Because batteries can fail after a few years. I want to be able to use the bike as a stand alone if ever the batteries have outlived their power. Thank you.
No we don’t. That’s a smart idea! It was already pretty light weight even with the battery so if you removed it, it should be a zippy bike.

DIY is the future of Florida.. In the future land of the Free and home of the Brave we don't need Banks, Insurance companies, Building Permits or Contractors. Gov focuses on shared infrastructure and not what we do on our land. Also Mandatory Evacuation = don't expect helicopters and boats to show up.

Kobalt are garbage.
It has lasted several years through abuse so I don't think it is bad.
@diyamerican Mine crapped out in less than 24 months and the replacement battery lasted less than a year. Never buying Kobalt again.
