Edith Bunker, Mrs. C., Andy Travis, Corporal Agarn & Barnabas Collins on stage together. And they're all interviewed by a very young Tom Bergeron. You can't get any better than this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank You for posting this interview. I only wish I could have told Jonathan how much I enjoyed his acting skills. He was so handsome, and his beautiful voice could mesmerize me for hours. I'm always amazed how humble he was.
Thanks so much for sharing this video! I remember wishing that I could go see the play "Arsenic &Old Lace" back in 1986 when I heard it was going to be on. I thought Gary Sandy and Jonathan Frid were so wonderful, and cool! This is great! I'm really enjoying this video! ~Janet in Canada

I had it on VHS from 1987!
Larry is hilarious!
Yes, super impersonator and a consummate professional with whom Jonathan greatly enjoyed working.
I enjoyed this crystal clear audio of this relaxing, fun conversation.Tom Snyder was a master of The Interview. I could listen to Jonathon talking about almost anything, that voice. Katherine is the only remaining one from this interview. Thank You.
💖 Thank you for sharing, I love this interview so much, it really gives in depth example in his own words how dedicated he was to the direction he wanted to take his career, not even strayed or tempted by the lure of an offer of $$$$ to do another soap opera! HUGE respect for him as an actor and a person. 🙏
You are welcome. Another interview will be added on December 16.
@@JonathanFridDoc Great, looking forward to watching it, that's just one day away!

Just learning about the man JF and how eloquently spoken he was, and humble, and am so glad he found joy in his career choice, and enjoyed it so much, especially wanting to guide young students and teach and encourage them. There are so many who hate their jobs, but he seemed to genuinely love it.
Glad you enjoyed the interview. Another interview will be posted on December 16.
Love the interview. Thanks for sharing !

Jonathan Frid---one can never forget him! ❤❤❤
May his legacy live on....
💖 Beautiful poem commemorating his 100th birthday! Indeed, it wonderfully "captures the essence" of our Jonathan Frid - both "the actor and the man" !! 👌
Delighted you enjoyed it.
very lovely.
Thank you.
Oh! That was just lovely! Brilliantly said, Bob Madison, and wonderfully read, Ian Buchanan! John Frid would have been 100 years old, today. Had he lived this long! TFS! ~Janet in Canada
Delighted you enjoyed it!
Man, can’t believe it would’ve been his hundredth birthday. I’ve only found out about Dark Shadows and the existence of Jonathan this year, but he’s already made a major impact. Seems like he was a great guy
Yes he was. Have you watched the documentary DARK SHADOWS AND BEYOND-THE JONATHAN FRID STORY?
@ Yes !!! It was a great documentary. Haven’t finished Dark Shadows yet, only about 250 episodes in and I started watching roughly 6 months ago, so some things got spoiled, but I was okay with that! It was a very cool documentary. Planning on watching it again once I finish Dark Shadows! (And House Of Dark Shadows and Night Of Dark Shadows ofc)
Wow. Perfectly said. And I'm so glad Jonathan is still remembered and loved.
Glad you enjoyed it, Karen.
Beautifully said.
Yes, indeed.
Beautiful Tribute
Thank you. - Mary O

Beautiful....❤
Thank you, Helene.
So beautiful. Jonathan, admired and missed.
Well said!
It's nice to hear all the lovely memories about Jonathan, and how kind he was. I'm not surprised to hear of how nice a person he was. Most people who play the bad guy are really lovely in person! Not that Barnabas was really such a bad guy later on the show. He became more a hero, didn't he. To me he really is a hero. He served in the Canadian Navy during WWII, and that, to me, is very wonderful and heroic! If he were still with us, I would love to give him a Remembrance Day poppy, from Canada, and then give him a big hug! Rest in peace, dear Jonathan! ~Janet in Canada
I wish I was free to go at the time. How great that these ladies took the time to share their stories! There is always some new enlightenment. I think just watching the love of the art of acting just pour from their eyes...and certainly their respect and admiration of Jonathan. Thank you.
I love this series so much. There is magic in these reels that only exists on film now. Not everyone can see it and those that us who can are among the blessed. I am a part of the brethen!
When ‘Angelique’ got turned into a vampire it was awesome 😎… I’ll never understand why people in Collinsport were never wearing Crucifixes after so many things had happened! ✝️
Love listening to these beautiful ladies and their wonderful stories. Can't believe Mr. Frid would have been one hundred years old this year. To me, he will always be around fifty years old, acting, and enjoying his life.
I absolutely Love this!
Thanks for keeping Dark Shadows alive! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you. You are entered in the lottery.
Thank you so very much for posting this wonderful video! And thank you for creating the excellent documentary and this UA-cam channel to celebrate and honor Jonathan Frid! I watched Dark Shadows when I was a child, and now, 55 years later, I am just rediscovering DS and realizing what a truly great actor Mr Frid was! Is anything planned to celebrate his 100th birthday on December 2nd... in person or online?

Fab interview! Thanks for posting. All three of these ladies were incredibly lovely and so generous to share an hour of their time. I’m on my 2nd rewatch of the series and just finished 1795. Everyone is back in the present now. Anywho, this was a wonderful interview and….can I be as sassy and spicy as Marie when I get to be her age? 😂🩷
Watching the pre-Barnabas "Phoenix" (the late Diana Millay - Laura Collins) storyline now on the free streaming channels. Back in the early 80's when I was a teen, New Jersey Network began showing it beginning with the introduction of Barnabas. What a hoot. I was hooked (or bitten so-to-speak).Dark Shadows was just about 16 years old then. Now it's closing in on 60 years....Remembering those Jonathan Frid pandering for NJN pledge drive commercials...
I’ve loved watching Dark Shadows since the late sixties. I discovered it by chance on afternoon, and from that day on my Mom and I watched it together.
This is amazing, took me 5 years but I finally finished Dark Shadows. Thank you for putting this together!
You are welcome. You will be in the lottery for the gift bag.
