Looks like he wasn't seeing a lot of 1 cost at the start. If you don't get early game pressure with Heroic Sword you will struggle especially against control type decks.

Pixie is dependent on its early game since it’s a rush deck. If you can’t make tokens and buff them, you won’t deal enough damage.

@@elin111 I have been on the receiving end of that hunter deck a few times and it's good and consistent

@@HandOfFateTCG That's why I pretty much dropped Pixie altogether for Hunter. One of these decks opens unplayable on a regular basis, the other gets things done on a regular basis.

@elin111 I put a lot of effort into Pixie and after a month found that there are just better decks, especially if not a lot of Kuon

@@HandOfFateTCG That's what it raelly boils down to; Pixie has a good Kuon matchup, and not much else going for it. Hell even going by that metric Hunter can also beat Kuon just off the rapid tempo from summoning so much so fast.

Just by watching the match, a tad too many non Hunters.

@@HandOfFateTCG If the opponent was anything other than Rune passing several turns in a row that game would've ended a lot quicker. Something that happens a tad too often with Pixie.

@elin111 yep I have had that experience against other decks. I'm going to see what changes can be made to Pixie and see what works

@@HandOfFateTCG Pixie is too piece reliant while at the same time too overcentralized on exactly Amataz. There isn't much of a "Plan B" for a lack of better term outside of Amataz. I've taken to running Greenbrier Elf to partially aleviate the severe bricking issues, but even Greenbrier itself is piece reliant. Same can be said for Spinaria actually now the only way for her to be live Turn 5 is exactly Elven Princess Mage.

It bricked really well in this game but to be fair my opponent is a great Abyss player.

@@HandOfFateTCG Playing Pixie has been very frustrating, it really feels like either see Amataz or die and the deck doesn't have nearly enough hand advantage to see Amataz consistently outside of hard drawing it or finding it with Spinaria which itself is a highroll, it gets especially bad when you find an Amataz on Top 2 with Crystalia Lily. For that matter the deck also dies real bad to Abyss hand discard when the deck already barely can keep a hand in the first place.

Well the deck at that point relies on control elements to keep the deck alive the wards are more annoying and drawing cards you don’t want to see till mid game is a forest specialty

@elin111 If you open badly with the deck and your top decks are average, it can take a bit to stableise. It is also about knowing when to bring up the tokens most games I will only see 1 Amataz and that is enough

Aurelia gained Aura because the Disdain player had 3 cards on their board. Aura is an ability that prevents the follower from being targeted by abilities, so the only card effects that could destroy Aurelia are non-targetable ones like Conflageration, Themis' Decree, etc. which hit everything on the board rather than a specific follower. Since the 2 cost Disdain and Disdainful Rending are effects that require you to target an enemy follower, they cannot be used against Aurelia because of Aura. Hope this helped :)

@@DonGatoTact I can confirm that Perver is right on this, the Lyrial would die first and then the damage would be dealt to the leader. Learned this in a Gloryfinder match.

Yes, we realised that after the game, we missed a turn of amulets. Elf child may when it leaves the field or is played deals 1 damage to a Follower. So, playing it dealt 1 damage, then bouncing it with Marvouls Sunday, dealt another 1 damage, then playing her again, dealt another 1 damage for a total of 3 damage to the Tachyon.

@@HandOfFateTCG From my personal experience of mostly doing solo tests with Forest, who has an easy time killing Marvin in 1 turn so the turn skipping is ill-advised, it often ends in Heaven's quick and very painful death. I'm probably doing something wrong too in fairness

@elin111 we have 1 main forest player and not many others play forest so just depends on your locals to what is worth testing against

i think you just dont go into repose against forest

at least not the skip turn way
