Hey Robert, I’m tracking an nc too. Which et are you running with your 245s? Mine are scrubbing on the rear on the inside with et48. Altho to be fair it could also be caused by my softer springs/worse coilovers and missing arb upgrade. And how much power did you get out of the ecu remap and exhaust upgrade? At least the 8k rpm limit seems nice, I’ve run short on revs on some corners already too and it’s annoying. Thanks in advance

The portion of the track that is done at full throttle is crazy! Very good grip from the car and incredible “courage” from the driver!

No rear ARB, I’d be interested in the thinking behind that one, especially on such grippy tyres. I find the rear of my NC leans unacceptably and I’m on similar spring rates front and rear with coilovers.

Are you still on the original NC1 engine and internals? I would love to know your maintenance protocol! Hoping to see the same longevity and reliability out of mine on track.

Wow - what a superb video and awesome driving! To comprehensively see off a 911 GT3 RS in an NC Mazda MX-5 with some mods that the 911 has also in spades as standard. Fascinating.. I've lapped the Nurburgring in my own Z4M coupe, 911 C2S and Cayman S and have now bought myself a 'cheap' NC2 MX-5 2.0. I've been wondering if it would be good around the ring compared to the higher power stuff and there is the answer in this video! Great stuff! As others have commented, you gain so much in having a light car with moderate power that you can use all of the time pretty much...Will ba taking my MX-5 NC 2.0 to the Ring for sure., although I won't be expecting to be as fast as Mr Serwanski! ;-)

What a pleasure it is to watch such amazing skill. It appears Serwanski first flashes the driver at 3:43. At 3:46 he starts having issues, then it goes downhill from there - especially at 5:20, 6:00, and 6:10-6:20. At 6:22, the 911 driver's ego is pronounced dead. What kind of coilovers do you have? I seen you changed the spring rates since this old video. Youre now running 13k/8k. But curious what kind of dampers youre using? Meister r? Xida? Ohlins? Fox? Bc (doubt it) but really curious. Lemme know if you see this please thank you for your time!

Thanks the Video, it reminds me always, that do not give out money to increase the hp on my NC. Rather go out and practice on the track days! Just one question. I use an Oil, Coolant temp sensor and I see the values. After 10 min on the track (Hockenheimring) the oil is over 110 C, the Coolant is around 98. Ait temp was only 13 Degrees. I am considering some cooling upgrade, but not sure which one? Oil cooler or Coolant radiator? I have used 5W40. Why did you decide on the Radiator upgrade over the Oil Cooler? Thanks a Lot!
