What about this beginning for the map: The screen is dark, the player can only hear the sound of the engine fading away, and then the car door slamming. A few seconds later, the darkness disappears, a car is parked nearby on the entrance highway on the outskirts of the city, the player must walk along a row of abandoned cars that soon appeared behind a layer of fog. Later, a non-working armored personnel carrier is found on the way, next to it lies the corpse of a Combine soldier with acquirable 9mm pistol and an prop submachine gun (because it is broken), picking up the weapon, the player hears a radio that has started working, informing him that more survivors have been spotted in the city, which must be captured upon detection. A fast zombie comes running to the static-hissing noise, killing it by shooting causes the roar of the horde to play and their multiple spawn nearby. Since the ammunition is limited, the player needs to avoid the singles and move in the direction of the sounds of gunfire playing in the distance, after which, as shown here, a camp of survivors is found. Inside, the player learns that there are many similar places scattered in the city, but some armed soldiers kidnap the inhabitants there to unknown destinations, however, they cannot withstand the local fortifications because this previously was a military base and there is a lot of its equipment left, including a operable helicopter, but since there is no pilots among the still free survivors, it is necessary to get to the nearest checkpoint (the enemies there are metrocops) and get information about where the others were taken. Having collected everything necessary at the designated place (including a new weapon which is shotgun), the player returns back, it turns out from the intel that the city park has been reorganized into a temporary detention center for all those caught for further relocation, for the sake of their release and obtaining the exact location of the final destination, three assault squads are formed. The assault is on the next level.

Its a great map so far. Would have been nice to have a commentary to explain what you have added. Also onscreen subtitles are popular at the mo.

To be honest. When this demo came out I rushed it. This probably needed another 2 week before it was actually ready but I really wanted to release this demo because the mod had reserved a resurgence in popularity . That’s why the quality control was so poor for this demo.

bro since the update, the custom background shows for a split second and then just shows the new one. I'm going to try deleting other files in the folder and see if that works
