A mosógép.

Whirlpool mosógép. Csak erős idegzetűeknek. Azoknak ajánlom, akik gyűlölik a csendet.
Amazing, such a great band
'Eiderdown" - written by Steve Swallow Steve: not only a great bass player, but also a great composer
¿samuel nussbaum?
Steve Swallow is one of the most under appreciated Bass Players in Jazz. I have known about him going back to his upright days in the 60s. There's an interview where he said he picked up a Bass Guitar out of curiosity and liked it so much he never played upright again.
Amazing👏
What is this tune called?
Steve Swallow rocks!!
That’s swallow at his best
7:50 - 7:56 holy crap yes 👍
So much better without a guitar player! (Yes I am a guitar player, before abuse starts).
Gary Burton. Such an intelligent musician. Great taste in cricket sweaters as well!
Yeah great cricket wear,
One of the most melodic bass solos I’ve ever heard.
What is that strange Fender product he's playing? A hybrid Frankenbass of some sort? Its got a soap bar single near the bridge. It's cool - his playing is always so tasty and different - in a world of Jaco clones and acrobats, it's always great to hear Steve's playing.
I think that's Sam's brother, Adam, on drums. I could be wrong...but what's undeniable is this band is cookin'. Steve Swallow swings as hard as any other bassist - Eddie Gomez, Jaco Pastorius, Marc Johnson, etc...
One of the best quartets !
I've never really warmed up to Steve Swallow - and I tried. This video is a pretty good example of how horribly he blends in a section, especially during Ozone's solo; his intonation is dreadful and he's clearly not locking in with anyone rhthmically. I used to watch this video tons back in the day; now that I'm older it sounds like a bloody effing mess.
You sound like that ass of a sax toodler who slammed Wayne Shorter a few years back. Amazing that a long string of the finest jazz musicians from Giuffre and Paul Bley in the earliest 1960s till today have not noticed his lack of abilities or inability to play with other people. Amazing that they never noticed what you have.
“His intonation is dreadful” LMAO he’s playing a fretted bass; his intonation is fine.
Not sure what you mean by not locking in - he's playing a straight, steady 4/4 walking line for almost the entire tune, which evolves out of the intro where he is locked precisely in to the rhythmic motif the group outlines at the beginning. The soundboard mix in the video pushes the bass out front and sublimates the drums, and creates an inaccurate sense of how he "blends" in the ensemble.
Wrong. I've been a Bass player for over 50 years. Your ignorance is showing. He playing a fretted instrument so intonation is not a problem and yes he is locked in with the other instruments.
If you listen closely, you can see that Steve is playing exactly 4 beats. Riding on that rhythm, Adam's drums add color and are a great combination. The beginning of each phrase by Ozone and Gary perfectly matches the rhythm of Steve's four-beat. I'm also a musician, and from that point of view, Steve's rhythms are very easy to match. It's a great ensemble.
Wow ! Classic and Jazz Improvisation like Mozart meets McCoy Tyner !
Excellent piano and drum solo !
Excellent band groove , worldclass piano solo !
Too fast. This Steve Swallow tune should be just a little slower so you can really hear how beautiful it is.
Steve Swallow is the best!
ds anyone know the title of this track?
+Massimo Mancini Navarino - The tune is called "Eiderdown". I believe it's the first tune Steve ever wrote.
TooOldFor Thanks! really cool
Wow Steve's really pushing this one! I haven't seen much footage from this era. Very interesting.
yeah i was wondering weither it was to do with the possibillity that he was being DI'd I wonder if you mix a direct line and microphones, somehow a time delay might occur… i find it hard to believe that he intended to play that ahead of the beat.. interesting choice if so..
thanks for the precious footage
Steve swallow is killing it
+Jason Simpson amazing solo
And rushing....
@@daveking4974 no one here is rushing, wrong... They are PUSHING, which is not the same as rushing. The rhythm section is exactly together in terms of where they are feeling the beat, even if it is out on the front edge of that beat.
Everytime
Drums - ADAM Nussbaum
