It honestly says a lot about the BNHA fandom that even in AUs where Izuku kills himself, people ship him with Bakugou. His bully. His killer. His murderer. The one who told him to jump from the roof. Even when they write Izuku as actually alive/surviving, it doesn't make it better. The fact is, he still attempted suicide because of Bakugou. If Izuku had actually jumped and died, you would ship him with the person who killed him?

I can’t help but notice that Izuku is still on the rooftop that All Might had left him on. 🤨 Makes me wonder if maybe he couldn’t get into the building after the hero had, cuz uh, rooftop doors are usually always locked. Ever watch the movie Hangover? I understand he wasn’t in a good place to begin with, but being locked up there could of definitely been the nail in the coffin for him. Giving him too much time to allow the gravity and grief of his dreams being destroyed to come crashing down around him. And if he was left to feel like the world (and most importantly, his idol) had forgotten all about him and he’s unable to get down on his own, it would only cement the fact that had been planted into his head of him being useless. I don’t know why All Might ever thought it’d be a good idea to leave a young, quirkless and admittedly bullied boy on a rooftop to begin with, especially after thoroughly crushing their dreams like he had. And after he had been quirkless himself! I think that fact makes me angrier than most. Sorry, your video just made me feel a whole lotta things, lol. I just gotta say, your art is so goooood and so heartbreaking! I love the way you drew the characters! Great job!!

I usually like the character of bakugou but damn I hope he feels guilty.

The way that line from Bakugo about Izuku taking a “swan dive off the edge” is/has been dealt with really infuriates me. There is no acknowledgement of how screwed up that moment was at all anywhere down the line (admittedly I’ve only watched until season 4, so I might be missing out on some info), and no, that is so not ok. It can’t be treated as a plot hole that was just forgotten as the story progressed - it is literally the worst piece of dialogue in the entirety of season 1 (at the very least, the worst in the first half of the season)! Bakugo is so lucky (and I HATE using this phrasing but it’s the most accurate I can think of at the moment) that Izuku didn’t actually follow through on that because that’s blood on his hands. And please don’t give me the crap about him being young and not knowing better - the kid was 14yrs. Can you imagine what MHA fans who have been bullied and can sympathise with Izuku’s experience must be feeling? You see other bully-esque characters earn their redemption by taking the first step in acknowledging that they did something wrong and apologising for it, but here?! Nada, zip, zilch, nothing. Not even a passing mention. And I feel like that’s a rather large step when it comes to victims being able to forgive their tormentors and work past their trauma. The fact that Bakugo’s behaviour isn’t brought up again is literally like sweeping the whole incident under the rug, which is utter bs. I really didn’t like Bakugo’s character for so long because of this. I had some hope for this issue being somewhat resolved during his and Izuku’s fight after the Kamino arc, but that went down the drain pretty damn fast (seriously?! They couldn’t have added this in when addressing his inferiority complex)? Don’t get me wrong - I’m all for tsundere characters, but there is a difference between that and abuse, and it’s not ok to just let it go forgotten, especially in such popular stories.
