Absolutely wonderful, thank you
I love this piece and being able to perform it was so much fun.
bellisimo!
it's beautiful where can i find sheet music for this?
I love this recording so much! Please check out my interpretation of the Schumann by opening a new UA-cam tab and copying this link: /watch?v=Sefhr1zBULE
Dang.
great !
What a moving, heartfelt collaboration. Reiko, I met you in 1986 at Aspen. You're still amazing!!! Love from Minnesota- Megan Monahan Wallace
AWESOME LOL ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Miles, I do not recall this being readily available in sheet music when I played the viola (1960s-early 1980s). I have heard another version of this besides yours (Peter Chung) and I wondered: what the hell was I missing? Where WAS I when this was available? It's BEAUTIFUL, and so is your interpretation!
that high start switched up with the low one.... not sure if i adore it or dislike it...... beautiful anyway
Sorry, my mistake, Thanks for posting this one of my favorite duos with best cellist friends...............Douglas Violist
Wow. Magnificent
Very very romantic!!!
Woderfullllllllllllll
NICE!!!!!!!! This is pretty awesome stuff right here. Hoffman has a WONDERFUL tone, and a sensitivity and musicality that are off the charts. I am in love. The orchestra: who is this? Great stuff all around. 5 thumbs up.
@MaryKatherine Brown Same here! Good being stand partners with ya, Mary Katherine! But he seriously is one of the best violists I've heard. His sound is so beautiful!
Echt schön,super.
es perfecto ... lastima el humano que tosia y tosia
I'm a violinist and violist and had the opportunity to do a master class with Mr Hoffman, and it was an incredible experience. He is both a phenomenal violist and phenomenal teacher.
+MaryKatherine Brown Lucky you :D
yeah! Schumann ;)
Thank you Miles Hoffman. It was a very beautiful performance. Bruch's music is always beautiful.
That was beautiful.
I heard this Telemann concerto on the radio the other day. I kept wanting this version
Wonderful.

Mr hoffman is a very talented violist...this sounds great
Best viola performance I have ever heard. Mr. Hoffman plays with great skill and emotion.
...hermosa pieza de Bruch...como su interpretación.. solista y orquestación!!!...
Stunning! My favourite Max Bruch piece. :-)
i played this five years ago and gonna play this again because ofvthe beauty of this piece
Just started playing this! So excited!
it sounds weirdly christmassy! I love it.
My heart aches. I will be playing this soon and i hope to sound as good.
Beautifull!!! Thank you, Max Bruch, thank you, Milles Hoffman!
you need to have a decent understanding both of musical technique, and the piece itself, in order to make decent criticisms. You have neither, and before you reply I don't know either, I have studied music to A-level standard (I have an A* in it), I also took my grade 8 viola aged 14 and attained a mark of 140/150. Learn when you're dealing with someone who knows a lot more than you do.
I'm wasn't criticising his playing. Just making a statement...geez I don't know why everyone got upset with me haha. Though I could probably play it and upload it =) I doubt it would be better since I don't have an orchestra behind me and I'm only 15 ;) Furthermore, I don't think you need to be 'better' than someone to give constructive criticism. Just my opinion :]
