Girl those two “red flags” that you described in the engagement phase are actually deal breakers. Ladies, know the difference between the two. Red flags are small things like messiness, forgetfulness etc. Acts of infidelity and dishonesty are dealbreakers. My stomach turned to hear you describe those clear violations as “minor”. It says a lot about how you view yourself. A man displaying emotional infidelity is minor to you? Yikes! Raise your standards ladies. What’s minor to some ladies are major to others. That’s where y’all get messed up and end up marrying monsters. There are certain actions that require immediate termination of the relationship. I just go by action. 1) we are dating and you’re not communicating with me or at least inform me that you will be unable to communicate for cuz reasons. 2) whilst in a relationship you show me that you’re fiscally irresponsible, gambling, drugs, spending crazy above your means and unable to curb yourself. 3) cheating of any kind, on Facebook, with exes, emotionally ect

Yes, in response to your question, dating someone who has kids or is divorced is definitely taboo in our Nigerian culture and many cultures. I think people need to become more open-minded. I understand people have preferences but everyone needs love!
