Thanks for the video. My Great Aunt was a nurse there during the occupation. Heard conditions were terrible but it was a miracle they were able to protect the patients and able to prevent them from being deported to the camps.
Hello, This is Rezowan, a UA-cam SEO Specialist and Digital Marketing Freelancer. I reviewed your channel and noticed it started in 2020 with 154 uploads. Unfortunately, the channel has only 505 subscribers and is struggling with low views. The main problem seems to be ineffective SEO. If you’re interested in improving your channel’s performance, I’d love to share some actionable insights. Let me know!
Lovely and picturesque ❄. Didn't get any of the snow here on the south wales coast.
Winter's not gone yet maybe you'll get some before spring comes 🙂
Do you know where people from the hospital were buried?
I believe St Saviours Church unless they had family then depends on where the family lived at the time
@@Adventure82YT Thanks for replying. Brilliant you tube of the hospital
Merry Christmas and happy new year. Look forward to new videos coming out
Thanks mate hope you had a great Christmas and New Year too, how's everything going ?
All God's blessings to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year. The cooking looks great, well done you, I'm afraid all mine came courtesy of Morrisons, I hate cooking!! Have a lovely time and I look forward to next year's videos.
Hi Valerie Your very kind with the comments which are much appreciated 🙂. Have a wonderful Christmas
Merry Christmas. hope life off island is treating you and your family well. all the best and enjoy the cake 😊
Thanks Gordon all's well so far thanks and have a lovely Christmas
Merry Christmas to you all 🎄. The year has flown by since we chatted during your live stream from the Dreaming Trees in Jersey. The gingerbread trees look like they're going to be great. 🎄💫
Hi Julie Thanks for the kind comments. I must do another live stream at some point. Take Care and have a great Christmas
MOTKA RE 1 CHATI MAR BAU HAG DEVE .MOTKA RE 😊😊
They are not called bunkers but pillboxes...great video stephen
Great video, Steve , I always thought that the bunkers the British made were much more insubstantial than the German ones. I believe that the blue and yellow is to support the Ukraine.
Now you say about the blue and yellow it seems quite obvious. The UK bunkers don't seem from the ones I've seen to be anywhere near as thick walls as the Germans built
Well done Blaize you did a great job ...and you have a very steady hand 😊
That was a great video, most interesting and very beautiful. Many thanks, looking forward to the next one.
Hi Valerie Thanks very much 😊 I appreciate it
Just discovered your videos the other day. Have just finished the Jersey Railway videos. Will you be doing anymore videos there in the future ? I was lucky to go there in the 1980s, and sad to hear that so many of the tourist places I enjoyed have gone, such as Wolfs Caves, the Crafts Centre, St Peters Bunker, Jersey Pottery & Butterfly farm etc have have long gone. It would be nice to see a video for the locations now and then. Keep doing the videos, as people are enjoying them
I moved from Jersey earlier this year but will do some as and when I visit. I do however have a playlist on UA-cam called Jersey Locations of various videos from around the island plus there is another playlist for Jersey's German bunkers and Tunnels. Pleased you liked what you've seen so far though
I was curious about how this tent was set up. Thank you very much for the video, it has solved many doubts for me. Those metal joints to join the poles right at the elbow are very good. I would like to know if they can be bought separately or what name they have to look for them, because I have a different tent than this one, but in which one of the poles has broken because they were joined with an aluminum elbow. Thanks again.
Best bet would be to email the manufacturer of the tent otherwise another good idea would be to search for spares your tent on eBay or Google as quite a few people now make spares for various tents
Nice video
Thank you very much
Maureen; the Newalls friend bought the Crows Nest in Greve from them. My grandfather, Norman Bell, sold the the Crows Nest to the Newalls ! It was on the cotil behind that the bodies were found.
That's interesting I wonder who owns it now.
Pretty sure the extra bit will have been part of the quarry loading point the sidings were relayed for the military traffic. And even though the line is closed for passenger traffic it is still open for engineers trains to run there was a ballast train a couple of weeks ago.
That's made me hungry, I'm in Jersey at present, there is an hour and a half to go until dinner, hope I can last without picking😂 your new home looks lovely and you seem to be settling in well. All the best with your appointments, I hope everything gets sorted ok. Looking forward to the videos you are planning. Take care.
I hope I didn't make you too hungry 😃 Thank you very much for your kind comments. I will be pleased when I have no appointments but just have to try and stay sane for now lol
Do you prefer brown sauce or ketchup on your breakfast rolls 🤔❓️😋
If I had to choose the HP on bacon and ketchup and mustard on sausage
I would go along and join the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. They are a lot more friendly! Thanks for uploading.
There are plenty of friendly people at the WR maybe not the best first/second impression regardless of how well meant (which he has held his hands up to) trespassing on the lineside.
I'll have a look at that I haven't been there since 2019 but I wasn't living here then
We were married there. The owners sold it and the new owners let it go into the disgrace its so to make the planning decision easier for the UHNW owners who do not pay tax in Jersey.
Nobody can actually afford to pay tax in Jersey pays tax
looks quite dark and a bit long.
Great little explore that collapse reminds me of a smaller version of Burdale one , you could see the cracks in the stone work at the other portal before long i wager the whole lot will collapse.
I think it's damage from the field above as it gets plowed with a tractor which is probably damaging the structure from the other side
What a beautiful cottage
Tramps 😂
Stayed there years ago, what a beautiful spot - such a waste!
Grill steaks are burgers 😅
My son and I will be camping with this tent next week. We have a multiple room cabin tent but I wanted something that was much easier to put up and take down. So glad to find your video because I didn’t understand the directions that came with the tent.
No worries pleased I went could help hope you have a nice time with your son
Who gave the info on Bartel it's wrong
It’s worth a look at the Wikipedia entry for ‘Charivari’ for a possible origin of the tradition.😊
Thanks Vince I'll take a look at that👍
Probably one and the same. Was Yorkshire ripper as well.
The Black Dog pub was such a cosy pub attached to it!
WatersEdge was at one time a great hotel, had family wedding receptions there! So sad to see but shows Jersey has lost its tourists!
Grillsteaks all the way🙌 I miss the Dalepak gammon grills, cant find them anywhere😩
What a lovely barbecue ❤
Thanks. Not my best cooking though
NEW SUB MATE
Thanks much appreciated
Very good
Thanks Jeremy
well that's some mighty black looking meat you cooked up there sir
Cheap portable BBQs and 2 yr gap from cooking on them not a good combination 😆
I've seen a film like this deliverance
@@marksleight4473exactly my thoughts 😂
Great genuine content 🙌🏾
Thanks much appreciated
Little hint when naming videos. If you are reviewing a product use the product in your title. By doing this you will pick up all the Amazon buyers who are looking to see more info on the product. Also when you go to a place or location use the name again it will help you pick up organic traffic and you will see your channel grow more quickly. Just a heads up. :)
Thanks for the advice it's much appreciated
Hi, I saw your videos on Fort Regent and really enjoyed them! I have a bit of a weird question but do you have any photos personally of the fort regent swimming pool from 1989 onwards (any photos/videos taken in any locations within the swimming pool building)? I’m trying to find photos of the pool from the 90s but can only find photos from the 70s, 80s and early 2000s in Jersey archives and other places online.
I don't have any photos from that point in time as I was stuck going everywhere with Heathfield but I would definitely ask the guys on Jersey Temps Passé Facebook page also there was a page on facebook dedicated to pictures from Jersey in the 90s so I would try those. If I come across any however I will let you know
@@Adventure82YT thanks 😊
@smg3810 no worries
Very good video, next time you go camping you should get Erica to make a tent 😁 and a kettle that whistle really set the whole vibe
Oi...I hope you bought that cup...😀....it is my birthday you know
That circular iron thing you saw on the wall is a flag pole mount 😁 around the 29:15 mark 😊
Tah L wondered what that was
So glad to see you settling happily into your new home. Those shops are way too big, and I hate shopping so you have my sympathy😂
Very good
"The Railway Walk" due to being flat ground, it is even good for people with wheelchairs and mobility scooters. "Portlet Common" has a wild nightlife for Doggers in the carpark area. "Corbiere Lighthouse" is the first concrete poured lighthouse in the world. Jersey has the third fastest moving tide in the world, so always check the tidal time table. the M19 German mortar bunker has been full restored to how it was back in the early 1940's. if you follow the path from the carpark down to the right, you will find a coastal artillery bunker with a 10.5 CM gun still in situe. which is also opened to the public by the CIOS. "Les Plateau" is a good place to go to flick the V's at the Donkey's. lol L'Etacquerel Fort has a massive indoor area that you stay in, with a big log burning fireplace. so there is no reason to bring a tent to stay in. something I would recommend visitors to the Island to do is ... visit the 12 Parish Churches. as they all have different architectures and have interesting memorials with in.
Great and informative video....thank you 😊
After walking or driving through the Village and Parking your car, CROSS OVER THE RIVER first and all three sets of falls can be viewed from the same river bank. I know that is what I did when I visited a few years ago.
Thanks Tony I'll check that out
@@Adventure82YT That is how I photographed all three waterfalls without crossing back and forth over the river approx25 yrs ago on my John OGroats to Lands End Hike. Tony in Essex, a Retired Hiker
