You can tell The second real gaming crash is coming when companies are litterally fighting over the rights to concepts that have been around longer than any of their major IPs
Nintendo opened pandoras box
Video game patents are so dumb
Gosh first Nintendo and now Sega this is why game mechanics should not be patentable
Rather than focusing on making good games they are focusing on patent
With that being said: which series composer is better, taku kishimoto vs hiroshi seko Edit: Yes, I am powerscaling series composition💀
It's hard to say at times (outside of very obvious misses or very obvious unexpected success stories) because series composers do get different series to work on, and then the questions arise: is this mainly due to the fault of the original story? Is this just a bad series overall to try and adapt to a 12/24-ep anime format, especially with what the author is pushing for? Would this scriptwriter have fully done a better job if HE had taken on Attack on Titan instead? I would say that some of the stuff that Seko Hiroshi has worked on that wasn't as high-profile or has been anime originals have had some iffier pacing (e.g.: Deca-Dence, Summer Time Rendering). HOWEVER, it is hard at times to single out individuals on what they contributed to an anime series from an outside perspective so this isn't to say that he sucks or anything. It is certainly an interesting question though, and probably a better one than just outright labeling X studio as being "AWESOME" or "TERRIBLE". Thanks for the comment! - Spire
@@4playeranimecast I was just asking this in the midst of the announcement for the one-piece remake, and I noticed that Seko hiroshi wasn't working on it, I was under the impression that it was given that he did work with wit before (ie AOT). But it turned out to be Taku kishimoto. I haven't seen any of the shows he worked on, and I don't want to pass judgment yet, so I was asking some questions to get an idea of what's to come. I like hiroshi's way of having to take some liberties to condense the adaptation like cutting out some unnecessary dialogue that won't serve the animation medium unlike in the manga (ie characters saying what's going on out loud because whatever's happening doesn't fully communicate in manga), I wish that for OP, while I love OP, I feel like it could be better. I wonder if Taku Kishimoto would be the type of person to cut out the sanji nose bleed plot line in fishman Island (that's assuming they even get that far, which I hope) Thanks for the reply🙏
You hit the nail on the head there, the appeal is definitely that it's bog standard BL. Especially for those of us who enjoy the genre, this series is miles more enjoyable than sasamiya in terms of it actually showing kissing and sex to an extent. Not just for the horniness of it all, but because it's refreshing in the face of the borderline homophobia in the last ten years of BL/yuri being increasingly sanitized and this shadow of "pureness" and "wholesomeness" being sold as "real and good" representation. Thanks for giving it some attention, if series like this can do well, the edgier and deeper stories might have a shot at adaptation too. Then more people could enjoy the breadth of what this genre has to offer outside of cute slice of life stories and fluff
Thanks for the comment! Yeah, all of us are definitely hoping that series like Twilight Out Of Focus can be a stepping stone for more varied and organic BL/GL adaptations being supported down the line.
Listening back I was probably a little too harsh in how I initially structured talking about it. I think from an easy engagement perspective that something with characters more tropey like Sasaki to Miyano will just more easily hold my attention with mini arcs or something. I need to catch up more with this but its not that I consider it bad or anything; the premise ultimately just wasn’t really gripping me as much as it probably would without the “film” parts ironically. I’ll have to keep going to see what other dramas occur but I’d like to see some more directly deeper digging into why doing the film while needing to keep their relationship secret is bothering Mao and such. Not as if we wouldnt know why but more so just wanting to see the character dev and interactions surrounding something like that. Overall I don’t think I did say or make it clear enough that I definitely do appreciate that there are series with more subdued characters coming out just to contrast the usual casts.
I am such a massive fan of the original manga. I was hoping that the adaptation would do it justice but the quality fell so short by so much it was so dissapointing.
Idk the way you explained it you always said something like: I cant give it full points or It could have been done slightly better. From that it sounds like yea it is nearly perfect. But you still make it sound worse. Idk if you get what I mean. This also isnt meant as critique just something i noticed. Overall I have to say as an anime only I really enjoyed the anime so far (episode 7) and idk if there are many other shows that really dive into this kind of topic (like trans identety etc.), but i personaly havent seen that many (if you have any good recomendations like that please recomend. manga is also appreciated.) Might be biased because i can relate to all 3 mc which does not happen often lol. Overally like 7.5/10 or something like that for me. But I have to wait how they handle the rest of the anime.
As a rule of thumb I tend to not give any series a 9 or better unless it's one of those series that as an overall package is really pushing beyond the upper limits of what we've seen thus far in the animation industry (Land of the Lustrous would probably be a great example of this). That being said, I think the series did a good job of initially presenting the idea of how entrenched cultures have developed around genders, gender identity, etc within the limited screen time that it has during this anime season. I would probably have given it a 7 or 8 on any other day but the issues I saw with how one-dimensional/shallow the writing was for the standard anime romcom aspect of it (e.g.: the heroine's only initial "driving" value within the story being that "she's an honest one") meant that I had to mark it down. Hope this clears things up and thanks for the comment! - Spire
as someone who read the manga i have to say the anime execution isn't hitting the highs i felt while reading
Yeah, I think the standard 12-episode format for anime series that's so entrenched these days definitely doesn't help with bringing out the strengths of the original manga in terms of how it's laid out in storyboard/pacing. A bit unfortunate all around. - Spire
@@4playeranimecast hopefully they turn it around as it ends
When reading a book/manga, you have a certain image of the characters and seeing it in a TV form (whether it's anime, tv show or a movie), they often disappoint. This is a very common thing fr
@@growingoakswell. To be ad dmore to what I said. The comedy was fine it was more of the serious moments where it fell kinda off
I really don't get the point of this? first half is basically just saying "oh this is obviously manufactured and an unethical viral marketing campaign", then the second half is "they didn't even post 100 clips on the official channels, and it's not very good at making viral clips from without context"... The trailers were literally full of random clips, and came out 1-2 months before the first episode. During that time, there were barely any reactions, and the ones that did react to it were sent the trailers by their viewers. Honestly the trailers were really good. Around the time of the second trailer, the 1 hour endurance video was posted by the official channel, and the hype grew exponentially over the build up to release. The advertisement campaign basically said "F it, lets try and go viral" and it worked, there's nothing wrong with that... I don't really know much about creators being asked to feature the anime, but even if they did, isn't that a good thing? it's the complete opposite direction than from production studios sending out copyright strikes left and right. Japanese law really doesn't care about "fair use", and ask any reaction channels about copyright strikes and they'll tell you it's very stressful and contributes to financial instability. The opening song is actually great, the verse might not be revolutionary, but the chorus and instrumentation is really nice. The opening has consistently outperformed the Oshi no Ko S2 opening, despite Nokotan being a previously unknown series, while Oshi no Ko's first opening is the most popular of all time. As for how the show's content is panning out, it's not "the best anime ever", but then again I don't think it was ever trying to be. It's chaotic, unpredictable, and that's exactly what I was expecting. Apparently the fact that it's not given a unanimous 10/10 rating after 4 episodes means it's now fine to trash a successful marketing strategy? Maybe the show turns around and gets better, maybe it doesn't. Either way, I'll still watch it and remember it for a long time.
Yeah I thought you were the same idiot who tried arguing an anime that filters out Normie filth like you is a bad thing. And you used your alt to try and argue with me. Yeah you're the totally obsessed crazy anti that everyone else laughs at. Remember Jojo isn't Hokuto No Ken. Try being something other than a loser in your next life eh?

What's unethical about asking people to do something and giving them the option?
What’s unethical about begging for free PR behind the scenes to manufacture momentum? When your Producers are Dentsu and Twin Engine? This is a real question? When you’re being licensed by CR? Lol
@@Darksoul9669 So no answer, huh? Nothingburger.
Your video is just as bad the content you were supposed to be talking about. 15 seconds. The pr team asked for free exposure. Ohmegee. The rest? I didnt read the 3 year old manga and think the show is gonna fail cause i didnt enjoy it. You could at least compare it to others like how lucky star got 1 season but has reached excel saga levels of quotable everything but gintama is now in its 10+ season yet no one even remembers half the jokes. Gotta step it up and stop with the click bait titles.
We do compare Nokotan to multiple other series in our full review (ua-cam.com/video/GQ7BFg0NM7E/v-deo.html) but we didn't want to add in 30min+ of analysis into something that's supposed to be a shorter clip showing WHY the Nokotan guys wanted to do this. Neither the title nor the thumbnail is clickbait at all, and regardless of whether you like the anime or not, I think we would all agree that "please do unpaid work for us" in 2024 is not a good thing. It's not good or ethical when a random western company tries to hire unpaid interns and state that "they'll pay them in exposure" and it's certainly not good when an anime studio tries to do more or less the same schtick.
This is like trash taste but worst didn't even think that was possible
Really this ride or die for a series ya’ll know deep down no one is gonna talk about after this season? smh

@@Darksoul9669 it's a fun show. Stop with the schizo rant.
Bad visuals? Now I know you're trolling.
If you're talking about the Anime as a Comedy Show being Good then Yup, it is by standard, GOOD. But if you're thinking about the Anime as a Drama and expecting it to be above average then you're doing something wrong. Long story short: I didn't watch your almost 1hr video but read the Comment section and judging by the sheer amount of ______ comments, I can assume you did something wrong with your assessment.
around 15 minutes this started getting really pretentious. disliking the show, the visuals, the humor, etc. is all fine. but either your coming at it all from an overly bitter and seemingly unhappy lens to have. or you have some kind of joyful contrarianism lens where its fun to, not be satisfied with agree to disagreeing, but to try and invalidate the opinions of the mainstream because they are just sheep. the pr stuff is weird, this i agree with. and to give you more benefit of the doubt than others in the comment section, if you were really grudging against nokotan, you wouldnt have defended it against the AI allegations. but whether you have an unfortunately bitter outlook on mainstream anime you disagree with, or an annoyingly gleeful outlook that sees it as an opportunity to maybe get people you see as wrong upset, i think this is all getting blown out of proportion. mainstream liked it, you didnt, neither of you is wrong for thinking what you think. i dont go around calling jojo fans stupid for liking that afterall.
i can't speak for dark obviously but i'm pretty sure the 'bottom of the barrel slop' comment (if that's what you're referring to) is mostly just provocative. we've acknowledged on the show many times that low brow/crass humor will always have an audience and some of us definitely enjoy it more than others, and we sometimes do banter on how our opinions might differ from what the popular consensus is, but it's rarely mean spirited. me personally, i didn't find this show to be very funny or snappy, but i don't think my opinion is quite as negative as dark's was. appreciate actually engaging with the content of the video though instead of just saying "ur wrong, didn't watch lol"
I consider these bottom of the barrel not because its crass, not because its wacky, but because of its presentation, execution and expectations. This entire series is telling you to think it's going to be some extremely absurd experience and it hardly is. The jokes are the most basic in idea and execution that you could find in any series that has any sort of touch of comedy to it. I expect a series that's going to try to be a full-on comedy to do better than any given SoL series that has some humor in it. At this point you'd be hard-pressed to find a series containing any sort of reference humor that doesn't make a Jojo reference or a Conan reference etc., and the way it's presented here is as shallow as it could possibly be. It doesn't particularly tie into a larger part of the episode or as s longer running through-line for more bits. It just throws in "here's a reference to jojo's style" and then moves on without it serving any purpose beyond getting people to say "wowee I also know what JJBA looks like." I expect a lot more from any series let alone a comedy and especially one that tries to market itself like Nokotan. So yeah when you present to me a series that has extremely basic jokes, and also has nothing of substance in-between said jokes; I think its pretty bottom of the barrel.
@@Darksoul9669 id say the point when absurdity is absurd enough that one can find it inherently funny varies from person to person. i hate to give the boring 'but thats just like, your opinion man." but i feel like the argument being presented against nokoton here keeps coming off extremely matter of fact-ly. there is a through plot line in every episode thus far. but whether its at all engaging will range from person to person. Clearly i and many others find a lot of the absurdity based jokes to be funny. most of what you said, and about half of the video could just be i didnt find the jokes funny. i get the purpose of the video is to make content so its a rather boring statement and it makes sense to want to explain why its not funny. basically all of the criticisms lodged thus far by what you say and the video, sans the marketing thing, work equally well as a basis of opinion. but this idea of fake hype just seems dumb. regardless of the sometimes undesirable means of building hype, hype was established and is being maintained, and people are laughing at the jokes in the show. and the hype is maintained because clearly people find substance in the show. but the stuff like saying that if people wanted to turn their brain off and enjoy something they should just look at a scenery like it inherently has more value or effort just sounds super pretentious and is just not the case. i see effort in the show through the visual and audio presentation that enhances jokes i already liked in the manga. i dont like calling people a contrarian because its rarely true, so i will say the attitude of the video feels more in line about what i was saying where people genuinely have a different opinion from the mainstream. but they explicitly like it that way and enjoy trying to make the mainstream out to just be stupid ass sheeps who cant use their brain to appreciate TRUE art or humor. if this was all truly intended to just be a display of opinion in maybe a spiteful rage baity way, then i guess i got baited sorry i took it too seriously, also fuck you if that. but otherwise that is the core of my point. essentially it is just a valid for someone to prefer nokoton over something like nichijou as it is vice versa. i would agree i think nichijou is funnier (but i like nokotons manga more than both). but that doesnt mean liking nokoton means being a idiot who only likes the schlock their shepards give them.
Wow a hater. Just wow.
yes it is massively good, you are severely overthinking things and huffing your own farts. It isn't a complicated series, it is a lot of jokes with a lot of anime, manga and pop culture references in it. It's designed for the Weeb and the Otaku to laugh at in-jokes and references they will only get. This is the single best Filter Anime of all time up to now because it filters the Normie scum perfectly.
this comment is funnier than the show ngl
Wild work to admit that the reason you enjoy this is because you're abnormal. Also what fucking otaku and weeb in-jokes? JoJo? You think JOJO isn't a normie-ass reference??? My parents know what the fuck jojo is and they're in their 60s.
@@NierAndFar filtered normie
Yeah real non-normie references like Jojo, the niche obscure series that people over the age of 60 definitely do not know about. Is your meter tuned to just be anything that doesn't have the same level of recognition as Dragon Ball lmfao. Jojo references are truly cutting edge and never been done better than a character just being in the style. And let me tell you nothing says non-normie like Little V making a cover of the opening.
@@Darksoul9669 That wasn't a Jojo Reference you Normie af loser. That was Kenshiro from Hokuto No Ken or Fist of the North Star. Or the reference in Ep1 of Koshi shouting for Hajime-san. That's referencing the Kindaichi Case Files Get Filtered you absolute fecking surface level normie feck. God damn I hate you people.
Just say you don't get the humor, it's okay. Just because its not funny for you doesnt mean its not actually funny to others
It's just stupidly funny. Nothing deep about it. Just shit post gag comedy. You either think it's funny or you don't. There's been anime like this for decades.
Correct there have been very shitty “comedy” series being released for decades.
I can see now why people say that there can be "wrong" opinions. Because the First 10 Minutes of Rambling sound to me that you guys see and take SNK as something really serious and analyze your way through the humor like you would need to write a dissertation about it. SNK is nothing but a shill for the Nara region in Japan and I don't know how you can read so much nuance in an anime that starts off with a Dark Souls, a Tokyo Ghoul and a Jojo's reference. I wouldn't give that anime more than a 7/10 at the end of the day either, because there is not much more to it other than references here and there and having some silly fun times. But bro please, you take it a bit tooooo serious.
Jashin-chan literally shills multiple regions and still has actual bits that are better thought out and go beyond jingling keys in front of your face like “he he jojo, ha ha tokyo ghoul”
this is some interesting stuff that you bring up but do you actually have a source for this because i tried to search this up but i couldn't find anything about it
getting serious for a comedy anime is another level of codemy
yeah because everyone knows that comedy doesn't involve well written jokes or skits. People just do that stuff off the cuff.
Shinmai Ossan is not an Isekai....
We go over this in previous podcasts (and are thinking of maybe putting out a regular disclaimer for these sorts of series) but when we talk about "isekai", we are generally referring to the subgenre/subculture that deals with the variety of series that have high fantasy + power fantasy/insert protagonist settings that have generally been inspired from older "proper" isekai series. The reason we do so is that so many of these series spawn from the same place AND have more or less the exact same setup AND story structure AND interpersonal relations AND draw that isekai series offer to begin with. This is not a coincidence - this is because all of these authors are copying off of each other and just writing the same stuff over and over again. In FACT, a further damning piece of evidence that these series are generally similar is that there are a significant number of "proper" isekai series out there that shoot the Japanese protagonist into a feudal/high fantasy setting and then pretty much ignore the "I came from Japan" part (or even have the PROTAGONIST say stuff like "I'm going to forget about that crappy world I lived in...") These stories then become pretty much INDISTINGUISHABLE from something like Shinmai Ossan structurally. For the purposes of reviewing anime for the 99.9999999% of people who might be interested (or heavily disgusted) by these sorts of series, trying to split hairs by saying "well the first few sentences of chapter 1 involved the god pulling this Japanese person into another world so it's an isekai" is not relevant to us. The MEAT of the story is quintessentially the same as most of the other series within the genre.
Togenashi Togeari exists actually. They did one-man live on Mar. 16, 2024 in Yokohama. And their live will be planned on Sep. 13, 2024 in Kawasaki. Come to Japan.
Cannot be more agreed when you said "One of the best... if not the best anime of the season" cause it really is. A very entertaining and well done analysis of the series pointing out many things about it that, either I had thought and commented for myself through the watching of it or never noticed at all. Also talking about the many good points of the series one by one made listening to the podcast more enjoyable and really liked how Heer told that, for himself, the songs were not that good as the bgm because, despite me thinking that the insert songs are bangers and been reading that throughout all youtube comments (or the majority of them), I think it's true and also I really liked the BGM's but saw no one talking about them and I liked to hear finally a different and well-argumented opinion. In general terms, one of the best and comfiest podcasts and analysis of GBC I've heard in the season. New sub and saludos desde Colombia compas, really liked your work, thanks a lot.
Also would like to add that, in fact, they did use MoCap to animate many, if not, the whole of the Performances in the anime that, accompanied with the excellent quality of the production, animation, vfx and postproduction staff, did carry much of the show's strongest points, the Music.
Fun Fact: Togenashi Togeari is really a band and the band voices by the actual band members themselves 🤣🤣
Nah the OP's banger, I love how fucking pixelated the title screen is
You guys are killing me! LOL! First, Japanese anime rarely shows kissing... It's not just about the guy on guy, stuff. Sasaki and Miyano does the same thing. It pulls back at the moment of the kiss, but then a minute later, they show a quick peck. In this, it shows them kiss and cuddle. It's freaking adorable! If anything, I would say that's the one time it pulls away from it and in that instance, it seems the director wanted you to focus on something else in that moment and wasn't done just to hide the kiss. Not gonna lie, the Omegaverse is not my fav. It's a little much and can be a bit graphic, but not this series. I was surprised when I heard an Omegaverse BL was being made into an anime. Having watched up to the current episode, it is the sweetest show! I always find myself with such a big smile while watching. It focuses on the relationship, their found family, and the love between them. Their son is so freaking adorable! He's the real star of this show. These two have such a healthy relationship, it's beautiful. My point is that you should focus more on the writing and the content and not on the omegaverse part. It's good to know a little about it, but it's not fully needed going into this. They explain most of the important info within the show. Step back, watch the show for the content and seriously, chill!
I literally did do that though. I didn't know about the Omegaverse until after I had already watched what I could even get through. It's just another layer of awful. And look people can do whatever they want. But I do think that the "family/child-rearing" series being a part of the Omegaverse is a massive red-flag. Vibes are off. Plus just gross to use that as the vehicle for discrimination when there's real discrimination going on especially in Japan. On top of my frustrations laid out here.
@@Darksoul9669what discrimination? I’m genuinely confused?
@@Hhshsjhjk The whole 'omega inferior, alpha superior' discrimination bullshit.
@@emy8555 … neither of those concepts are real for humans so how the hell is that discrimination? Like for animals? Or are you trying to say the omega is feminine and the alpha is masculine like there has to be a “girl” even in mlm relationship? Because I can kinda agree with that, but sometimes there really is a more feminine man and a more masculine man together. Sometimes that’s just how it is, idk if that’s really discrimination 🤷
@@Hhshsjhjk Okay so I'm going to assume that somehow with this sussy name you're not a bot. But here we go; In my review I state exactly what's happening here and why its extremely stupid. Shoving "OH EM GEE DISCRIMINATION TOWARDS OMEGAS AND ALPHAS" is fucking gross in-general but doubly so coming from Japan which is even more conservative towards LGBTQ+ rights than a lot of places. To put things into perspective they are only JUST going through their "trans bathrooms are dangerous" phase with bills. So yes having a series that is featuring gay characters all over the place, and setting it up like this and the only discrimination you care to talk about in Japan is some fantasy non-sense; that sucks and it would be much better to try to find series that actually give the time of day to real issues of discrimination in Japan. I'd even settle for ONLY social discrimination at that point.
imo the problem with anime is that it skips a lot , manga is decent, but anime just flies by days simplifying or omitting lots of info
It gets worse and worse every episode
Its not anything special, but its more entertaining than a lot of others coming out right now. I skipped it for a while but was glad i gave it a try eventually.
A female friend of mine watched ReMonster because her favorite seiyuu voiced the MC. lol
The slime Rimuru was inpired by Re: monster.
Except slime actually has somewhat interesting characters and worldbuilding
@@TheButterMinecart1 Except without Re: monster there won't be a Slime Rimuru.
I cant believe the number of people that think this anime is good. Its a discount slime-sekai and doesnt even have the balls to make it hentai
If slime was based on slavery*
@@L3onking or SA or Stockholm. Redo atleast commit partially to the smut, eventhough the MC has the most annoying cumface.
Its at the top well close to the top of the list of most watched/trending each week
Cause anime watcher tastes gets worse as years go
LOL I just checked out ReMonster this week after seeing it on a list of new fantasy anime, and dropped it at episode 3, it's just too cringe. there was no plot, just the main character being better (smarter/stronger/popular) than everyone, just because, like a total Gary Sue character. and then by episode 3 like every female character wants to sleep with him, and they even are like begging him. it definitely felt like someone's ridiculous power fantasy. I just said this is cringe and dropped it, there wasn't any hint of a plot to get me interested as to where the show was going.
Same, it's literally some loser's porn fantasy. None of the characters are interesting in the slightest.
@@TheButterMinecart1 lol exactly
I fucking hate it
I like it
because u dont hav taste ..u like harem isekais ..
The song gets stuck in my head. Its annoying. But the show? Its the mid of mid. I give bonus points for glossing over the sex, but... why even play it up without fan service? The real gripe is that its just a bunch of "then, this happened."'s stitched together. There's no story. Its 7 or 8 episodes deep, and I can give you the entire character plot. Guy from cyberpunk got isekaid as a goblin. Gets powers from eating. Eats random crap. Changes appearance every other episode. So do the side characters. And..... thats it. No back story. No development. No motivation. Its just 'stuff just happens while I exist as a bowl of plain rice.' The most unrelatable OP main character, ever. When I say that the anime literally just narrates "and then I tamed some wolves and made a wolf-rider unit, and picked up 30 new skills." and just leaves it at that, I'm not kidding. 3 or 5 times an episode. You're lucky if you get a still image, and not just a black screen. Its pretty terrible.
@@Volyren still better content then any marvel movies that recently came out.
These morons are soooo slow talking. Like clear and succint my dude
Senshi is the best
I honestly didn't like the anime. It's like a kids show that tries to have a dark undertone but fails miserably. Especially in the later half of the show. The first half was pretty ok. The ladder half was just stupid. She has a slime that no one has ever seen before let alone tamed. She then claims it can detect evil in people and everyone just goes along with it. They are willing to commit people to prison or even death and no one even questions the validity of her claims. Also they seem to have forgotten she even had that cat companion in the ladder half of the show too.
At one hand i see your point but on the other i can see how the plot looks made up but you have missed the moments that your complaints are clearly shown for example the slime did have the ability to see evil from the first town with the guard that stoped the illegal transport of wine and also the reason that the slime is not recorded its revealed on the last episode as for the cat because its a wild animal it could not act inside the towns and because it needs tons of magic to be marked as a tamed beast to which ivy cannot produce makes it impossible to be marked so she only acts outside of towns where she can't be seen from other humans as it would make her a target for hunting due to her level of danger that her species is categorized
@@kostakonomi my problem is we know the slime can see evil in people. Her companions however don’t know that. Their willingness to just go along with it was off putting. Also, what constitutes evil? Would the slime shiver at someone who stole a cupcake? I understand why the cat wasn’t in the ladder half of the show. Why was it in the show to begin with. It was simply used as a deus ex machina to explain how a small girl was able to travel alone through the woods and then tossed aside.
"nothing about this series is redeemable, nothing about this series is worth watching" 1.5/10 what did this anime did to you? Animation is really good and story isnt the best but its not the worst. Animation 8.5/10 and story 6 or 7/10 almost no anime deserces 1.5/10 and you gave it without any points as to why you think its that bad. Good luck guys finding audience with this kind of thinking and rating.
Lol best anime in a long time, has everything

I feel vindicated being a Crunchy hater for almost 10 years.
We're right there with you lol. I remember specifically saying to myself "Hey I'll trial this" in like 2011 and then their player would crash if you left your video paused for more than a couple mins.
@@Darksoul9669 Heck they were STILL using flash a year before or the year that flash shut down. LOL
I feel like ecchi as a genre is dead nowadays. It just feels like, now, ecchi has become an afterthought aspect to whatever romcom comes out every season. With To Love Ru gone, DxD being shafted, and other great ecchi shows of the early 2010s gone, there hasn't been one that's been memorable.
Maybe the popularity of MahoAko will revive it
Yeah, a lot of the current romcom + ecchi series that are coming out unfortunately are pale imitations of popular anime from the 2000s-2010s.
The one ecchi show that I truly liked was actually futoku no guild from last year. While not perfect, it at least brought back the zany fun aspects of earlier ecchi anime.
This anime is the worst of the season by far. The only one that comes close to this one is Sengoku Youko.
An unfortunate flop from MAPPA...
@@4playeranimecast Well, the only two anime from Mappa that I enjoyed in the last couple of years were Campfire Cooking and Dance Dance Danseur, so it's not a big surprise.
What the fudge are you talking about Sengoku Youko is really good. It's got some inuyasha vibes I like it better than inuyashas sequel series.
It's amazing how none of the people who attended the pre-screening leaked the twist/surprise for episode 1. I think the impact of watching it live before the promotional materials were updated is hard to replicate.
It was such an amazingly pleasant surprise. I'm not inherently against military/mecha series but this turned out to be something far more fun for me.
