Noise Sculpting Part 6 - Radial Lighting
Переглядів 252Місяць тому
Hello lovely people! I am sharing a way to make an abstract structure using geo instancing and introducing light and shadows using a circular ramp top and math top. By changing the compositing modes, you will find that you can introduce some exciting changes to the structures. You can play with the parameters of the noise TOPs and displace to get some really crazy results. Check out some of my ...

Helloo lovely people In this project I used positional instancing through the particlesGPU tool, and used the default lookups to manipulate values and create some customisable 3d patterns! These are just some simple tricks to get you started with the particlesGPU tool which seemed very complicated to me in the beginning. Remember that TouchDesigner is extremely versatile so you can add all sort...

Переглядів 2,9 тис.9 місяців тому
Hello Everyone! In this tutorial, I'll show you a special project I've been working on for a couple of days. We'll use the RenderPickCHOP to extract instancing data and convert it to MIDI, allowing you to click and play! The formula for the Fan CHOP is cut off at 09:40 it is - 'chan[0-' str(op('merge2').numSamples) ']' This project was inspired by elekktronaut's video on playing drums with Kine...

AudioReactive Visuals With TouchDesigner 003
Can you make a tutorial about it please?
Hi, this looks cool! But are you using TDAbketon or?
Thank you very much! This project is made with just Touchdesigner.
@ I see. But usually you have content with TDAbleton?
@antunelez7250 nope haven't made anything with it yet
@@audiodevout I see. Anyways, still there’s plenty of resourceful stuff for me See you around ✌🏻
rgba delay image filter looks really cool on this :D
awesome! best TD tutorials that i've seen so far THANKS!
For some reason at 4:02 when I preview the bg top, mine isn't a solid black, you can see the geometry. Same thing for when you make the background grey, not sure why
i think whats happening is that the uniform scale that changes the size of the rectangle sop has a value that is too low, try increasing it and lemme know if that works!
Thx for this, very helpful. Why do u have 2 noise tops? I understand it provides more structure, but as a concept is there something I need to understand here. Looking forward to finishing ur noise scultping series. Thanks again.
You are correct! its just to add more structure and more control over how the entire thing looks. I'd recommend playing around with the parameters of the 2 noise tops (period, harmonics, exponent, etc) and see how it looks like! also makes a difference with animation (absTime) if you want a layered movement.
@@audiodevout thank you
Amazing tutorial! Is there a way to control colors?
Thank you very much! Do you mean the colours of the particles? If so then check out the 4th part of this series, I've used a noise top to control the colours of the particle structures
@@audiodevout yes colours of the particles. Is it possible to control the background colours? Or maybe export just the particles as alpha?
@likithaailone8765 Then I suggest using a lookup top after rendering the particles and using a ramp top in the second input to control the colours. Let me know if that works for you!
what pc do u have? cpu gpu ram thanks! good channel
Thank you! I make most of my projects on my 3 year old Zephyrus G14. it has 24 gigs of ram and a 1560ti GPU with a ryzen 5 cpu!
Very cool
Fantastic tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing tutorials🙇🙇super cool!!✨✨
Do you have a tutorial for this? I really want to see it.
hello! i have the project files for a final version of this project on my patreon. i have been meaning to make a tutorial about this, maybe sometime next month.
@@audiodevoutI followed your Patreon, but I can't find it. What is the file name?
here's the link - www.patreon.com/posts/102700297 lemme know if you need any more help!
Thank you very much! If you ever upload data or tutorials that include particles and flash like this video, I look forward to it! It was very helpful!
i love your content bro❤ keep it up
Amazing! Thank you ♥
Thank you very much!
HOW CAN I MAKE THIS AUDIOREACTIVE
i have been planning an audioreactive tutorial for a while but making something like this it takes some time! until then I would suggest watching some tutorials by elekktronaut or acrilycode their videos about this are very detailed
Man, I love your videos! Huge fan of your work.. We need more tutorials like this! This is one of the best TD channel on UA-cam!! May you consider another tutorial with particles like this but do it Audioreactive to ambient or other music genere? btw love those bg music :)
thanks for the words ❤️ I'll make an audio-reactive version for sure once I have some free time!
You are amazing! Thank you!
Good work!!
Thanks always, BTW what is the script in the length of the pattern chop? and how to make the grid in frame view?
Hello! The formula I am using is binding the length of the CHOP with the number of particles in the position SOP (named pos for example)- it is - op('pos').numPoints I think the frame view you're talking about is the camera settings - you can go in the view options and see the different options.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge 🎉
it's a pleasure 👨🎓✨
Damn so we could use these as noise maps for after effects or in a 3D program yah?
hello! I am not very well versed in 3d design apps but I would suggest looking this up on the TD forum or the discord group
so smooth you literally talk without talking
Just did your noise mapping and noise sculpting projects. I must admit, your workflow is great, especially the part where you use simmilar constructions and techniques (CHOP const or absTime). I did them on my machine and spent good half a day modifying them and olaying around. Amazing core projects for futher improvements and modifications!! Love your work❤
heyy thank you very much! your comment has made my day <3
Wow.
Fantastic tutorial! Got it working with the free BBC Orchestra VST
damn legend!!!! Thank you!
Amazing work. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
its a pleasure!
ty so much!!!
What is the complete formula at 09:40 in the fan1 parameters? The screen cuts off at 'chan[0-' + str(op('merge2')...
Thank you for pointing it out! the whole formule is - 'chan[0-' + str(op('merge2').numSamples) + ']' I will add in the description as well!
you are the best. thanks for making these videos and please keep it up (no pressure tho)
hey that means a lot thank you very much ❤️ I'm gonna do my best to keep it coming for a while
Operator snippets, for me , in not active , what can I do.
hmm that might be because of a few different factors like the operating system you're using (Mac is known to have issues like this from my research) or the installation of the application itself. I'd suggest looking it up on the TouchDesigner documentation/forum or the Discord community
I might be high but these tutorials are pretty psychedelic 😆 Something about the ambient music mixed with the following along a logical creative process like this. Very mindful experience!👍
haha glad you like my work!
Wow! I'm really impressed.
Thank you!
I really like this one! can you teach me how to make it ?
heyy! follow my first noise sculpting tutorial and play around with the displaceTOP parameters! the exact design has many custom values but this is the easiest way to get something similar.
hey man, thanks for a tutorial
Glad you like it! there's a part 2 and 3 as well
Very good tutorial but i don't know how to export in mp4 with the audio. Can you explain me what i need to do ?
there's a moviefileout top in the operator section that you can use to export videos and images. there's a very good tutorial by elekktronaut that will help you out!
Beautiful ! i couldnt see the audio reactive one on your patreon tho :(
Heyy thanks for pointing that out! I just uploaded the files :)
Never have I seen so many tutorials in one, without a single word. SO AWESOME!!! tysm
Wow, thanks! Appreciate it a lot.
love the transition between the different styles
thank you! i try to show all the possible variations in the process.

Glad it was helpful!
