As a fan of the franchise since the beginning, I have to say how great it was to finally see them win a Stanley Cup--However, since then,they have regressed each season, altho they did do much better last season after changing coaches--despite some talent on the roster, realistically, i don't see them making the playoffs this year. (Altho I always want them to do well and win.)

my take. if somebody can't name single 3rd line avs player like in the comment in the end he shouldn't make any statements whatsoever lol wood - colton - o'connor is pretty sick third line specially if o connor's goalscoring ability will be same as last year. when avs get landy, lehky and val back (it's when not if) they will have deepest team since SC run in 2022 also D is super deep they have like 10 competitive names on D right now. also kovalenko is biggest name coming from KHL since Kaprizov. the only real questionmark is goaltending. I think Annunen can overtake no 1 spot and we will have anunem and nabokov asi goalies next year

Granted, the depth looks bad at first...and could remain bad. But, if Landy, Lehky and Nuke all come back? HOLY shit is this team scary! That puts a player of Lehky or Nuke's caliber on the third line and probably pushes down O'Connnor, Wood and Colton to be perhaps the best 4th line in the NHL. Yes, that's asking a lot, but if this team is actually 100% healthy, they are dangerous.

While I will admit the Jamie Benn cross check on Stone was definitely a rage moment, and not pretty, the fans that cried the loudest about it were Knights fans and they are hypocritical about it. In the prior series there is a moment where Alex Pietrangelo full slashes Leon Draisaitl after Leon has passed the puck (completely uncalled for) and they turn a blind eye to it. You need to get those pesky facts straight… arturi had surgery over the break. And drouin had to relearn how to play good hockey. His improvement from 20-30 games in to end of season was insane. Hes a secret weapon and i expect him to get a ppg this season.

As an Avs fan Last year felt like if we were gonna do anything meaningful, everything had to go right, and you can't gurentee that can be achieved. It just felt like they were doomed and it was only a matter of when the wheels fell off. I'm gonna be honest, I didn't see them beating Winnipeg in the 1st round, and if they were to beat them, Dallas or Vegas were gonna beat them in the 2nd round. Marchment Goal should have counted, at least it would have put the season to rest earlier than it was. And as much as Colorado is seen as Favorites again, I just don't see it this year, another year of regression seems on the table.

I will say I feel as if really the only way they could win another cup is if the forward core looks like this during the second half of the year Landeskog Mackinnon Rantanen Lehkonen Mittelstadt Nichushkin Wood Colton O'Connor Drouin Kelly Wagner Now this is just from what I know about the Avalanche but their depth currently and throughout last year was horrendous. They stayed a top team but it just looked horrendous. Another question is if that Wood Colton Connor line gonna do what they can do best. Because like you listed all 3 players have problems that keep them from being a legitimate top 6 kinda line. Like don't get me wrong it would be a high level second line but it could do good if they fixed their issues. So because I think and know that they can play decently together is why I put Drouin on the fourth line. If Drouin doesn't need Rantanen and Mackinnon to put up 56 points then Drouin could really help that fourth line be decent. It could help the fourth line produce better point totals and overall help the team to be on the ice. One question could be how would they make the cap work which I personally don't know. But knowing that this could be a playoff team. Is still scary. And knowing that it could be a playoff team. SHOULD be scary. Because that would just be the forward core. That's not including the players on defence or the defensive system they play.

So many questions around 2/3 of that top6, is Lekhonen okay ? Is Nichushkin reliable ? Landeskog is hurt again ? Is Drouin doing good or is he mooching off Mac and Rantanen ? Good thing they added Mittelstadt, but unless everyone comes back at 90%, they are probably missing a piece or two to be real contenders.

I’m not sure how many Flyers fans are higher on Brink than they are on York… both good young players, but York had a legitimate argument to be called the best defenceman on the team last year… no idea what you’re talking about when you called him garbage. Also Ersson’s numbers were great (better than Hart’s) until Hart got suspended and Ersson suddenly had to shoulder the load of every single game. I’m expecting a great season from him this year with a normal, 60%ish amount of starts. People judging Fedotov on like 2.5 games of experience last year after just landing in North America and using brand new equipment? That’s certainly a choice

Demko injury will set us back but we have more depth this year I don’t think we’ll win the division but we’ll be in the playoffs and that’s what really matters…
