My mum stinks and futs
One of the things I missed about my childhood was this. I didn't know it then, but this would be my dream job
I remember way back when they showed us what it was like be in a crawl space and we got to go in the engine. Was awesome. Just recently got my paperwork from the trade school, all I’ve gotta do now is get my physical, a couple other things signed, rent out some gear and I’m good to go. Very exciting. ✌️
@@floridafire7 I put in my application last week for my department. They want to schedule an interview so we'll see where it goes lol
The engineer is top notch, yields properly , great driver.
I can carry the smoke tank
The way the firefighters show us how they actually do when they're responding to the fire calls are an example of how they are wearing. But, the bunker gears and uniform are different than other countries. Thank you for showing the example!

Watching this in 2022 and all I think when I hear that kid coughing is COVID!!
Was my dad on that call? His name is Tony Fassler
My dad was a firefighter EMS and a police officer for 30 years total and became a firefighter at the age of 18. We have a dog named cappy she is a retired community service dog for the police station and this was in Pennsylvania for the capital police but she had to retire due to us moving
Love that q.
This should be titled "How to spread a fire with a master stream."

Some people are so stupid for not pulling over for emergency vehicles
Look. After. Your. CUFFS... Maintain them by inspecting, function checking, cleaning and oiling.

I'm a volunteer firefighter in the great state of Tennessee and my favorite part of the job is showing the kids what we look like in our full bunker turn put gear with the scba and face mask on

I am happy to see this - i am a former firefighter and i know this, too -> it was amazing to show kids our things :) and gear.
It's more fun to see this demonstration through a child's eyes. The laughter is priceless as the firefighter asks at each step, "Am I ready to fight a fire?" The kids say "No" until the firefighter is in full gear. I remember a demonstration where the hood is put on backwards and the coat is mistaken for a blanket (Anyone see the movie Fireproof?). I find this a fun way for adults to not be afraid as well.
same here in Selje/Norway ....best part of the job 😀
An added bonus, would have been to see some actual fire action.
Must be an old truck, sounds like a dying cat
