Old mate crashes on Campbell Pockets Road January 2025
Out driving my MGF Roadster today -- heading to the Dayboro pub for lunch and decided to get there through Mt Mee and Campbell Pockets Road - just for a bit of excitement -- unfortunately it looks like Old Mate has confused his/her capabilities with their ambitions and destroyed this lovely little Mazda.

On a beautiful Queensland summers day - a morning drive in my beautiful MGF Roadster through Caboolture - Mt Mee - along Campbell Pockets road to Dayboro for lunch at the Dayboro pub. it looks like old mate confused his driving skills with his ambitions and destroyed his/her Mazda. Great to be alive and still able to enjoy driving my MGF at 81 years of age I'm not sitting in God's waiting room ...

This is a very short video of the first hole played during a competition at my beautiful Bribie Island Golf Course - had a day out with 40 stableford points and finished 4th in the daily comp, I was chuffed :-)

Morgan Park raceway on a very hot September day very high track temperatures and I had the tyre pressures way too high and as a consequence of high track temperatures and very high tyre pressures the treys progressively went off and lost traction so it was a lot of fun just keeping my CentaurMk1b on the "Island" :-)

25th July 2024, Session 2 at our GEAR Day at lakeside International Raceway. Trying a little too hard and hit the apex of the corner too early and ran out of room on the exit of Shell Corner coming onto the main straight.

Good friend Wayne Adcock and myself flew our friend Kevin Dall's beautiful Tecnam P97/100 Golf to Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield for a fly-in breakfast great morning and a lot of very diverse aircraft turned up for a great morning.

A full stop landing after returning from Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield where god friend Wayne and I flew our mate Kevin Dall's beautiful Tecnam P96/100 Golf - what a great way to spend a morning a BBQ breakfast with fellow aviators and a perfect mornings weather. Woo Hoo. :-)

I give Peter his due, he built his own aeroplane and indeed the V8 does sound good. However, the aeroplane it looks nothing like a BF109. The tail is too big, the cockpit cover is nothing like and the wings are also nothing like. I have seen 1/3 scale P51's, Spitfires and even a P47, you wouldn't know the difference from the ground; they were that good!!
You poor man, everyone building his own airplane is a hero....doesn't need someone saying what looks better, I hope he enjoys his plane...great done!

You and teh centaur did extremely well. You don't need a lower diff-- a 4.1 and C/R box will go well except most of us did not have aC/R box in those days of yesteryear!

note that as for transatlantic crossing, flying was cheaper than cruising, the introduction of 747 in 1970s on transatlantic crossing are responsible for decline of transatlantic cruising. most of the wide body airliner, including double deck can ferry about 200-500+ passenger with the speed of 400+ knots, most modern widebody aircraft has a range of over 7000+km
