What does Culture mean? From what I gather all it means is streets
I think Reece made himself the villain in his own head. Although nobody may have been rooting for him, nobody was really against him, he just wasn't on their mind, forget the hype, Reece is really winning in business & in life but it's like he always wanted the acknowledgement from those he deemed to be "his people" which is cool but sometimes when you're ahead, you just need to focus on what you're doing. He has the potential, vision and business mind to get into the 3 comma club. Reece doesn't understand, a lot of people envy the position he's in, he can play both sides perfectly, he's build a successful business & never had the obligation or pressure to prove himself to a specific group or prove that he's for one particular culture, he should've kept it that way. That's the perfect position to be in life, where you can be extremely wealthy but also left alone, you get to choose when you want to pop out & who you want to associate with. No disrespect to Clint but he's in a position where he HAS to rely on a specific demographic and culture and constantly show he's for them because they're who his business model & success relies on, without them it's over. To me that's not an ideal position to be in. I'd say Reece's situation is more ideal, you don't have to rely on any one demographic, you don't have to play the "for the culture" game. You can simply create based on what you like & what works in terms of business. You don't have to play the identity politics game and he should've just appreciated that position but at the same time, people are human and I guess most people would want to be accepted or acknowledged in some form especially by their own like all the support Krept is currently getting for his business but don't get it twisted, there's a pressure to keep up appearances & continue to be locked in with a specific demographic/group for them man. Reece should just focus on running up his business ventures, you put yourself in that high 9-10 figure category, they'll all begin to acknowledge you & want to be associated with you anyway, that's how the game goes.
Love potter has blown up now but the real ones already no the story haha
the reece guy saying hes not in the business of copying anybody, meanwhile his whole brand is copy paste of trends, funny
Plus the need to have a French name & Eiffel Tower logo. 😂
No one’s gonna be buying that Corteiz shit in a few years time, because the people who wear that shit will finally grow up lol
Facts
gotta disgree, bro just partnered with supreme and nike, two global brands so its hard to say that Corteiz will "fall off"
@ do you know how many brands that have done big collabs that are no longer around?! Remember that big brands are like record companies, they want to align themselves with whatever is in at that time as it benefits them. Both the big and little brand use it as further exposure which is a future investment rather than a immediate one as the profit margins are often low as they are both taking a slice. Trust me MDV will outlast and out-earn Corteiz… they have definitely smashed it but they are closer to a hype brand atm … I hope they carry on doing there thing though . A brand that has similarities which has lasted for quite a long time is Trapstar (who btw are not as lucrative as MDV but nevertheless have a decent turnover) … aye you never know they might have another decade in them. Good luck to all of them.
What a silly idea the next gen will wear it cos they seen the ogre do it
The Nike air max 97 collab in my opinion is one of the timeless pieces that dropped recently so I’ll have to disagree
Money over culutre. Reece is correct. People don't really love you. Feelings and opinions change.
Culture is longevity. There’s a lot of brands out there making serious £ but how they’re viewed within the streetwear fashion culture is also just as important as the numbers they do imo
Not necessarily, is Ralph Lauren, Dior , Chanel , Hermes , TAG etc necessarily culture? There might be elements of them embraced by culture but they are not dependent on it and thrive . MDV is not appealing to the same Market as Clint plus ‘culture’ can be very fickle. One minute you are in the next not, it’s all about being ‘cool’ . MDV is likely to outlast CORTIEZ due to the fact that they do not rely on a logo or being ‘cool’ they are already far more profitable than them. I personally am not a fan of Reece but he has built something far more sustainable. Cool brands come and go , history has shown that many a time.
New subscriber . Hope you blow
Clint won the battle, Reece won the war
corteiz is dead no one older than 16 wears it
Corteiz has been washed since 2019. Bought green and yellow from early drop and ain’t shopped since. Pump and dump design.
2019 the brand ain’t even catch on yet 😭
@@Djavan2499 I was wearing the green and yellow sweater in the gym cus it was washed even then
Never heard of reece, I've heard of Corteiz though. I'm based in the US
Both brands have totally different customer profiles. So, understandable
Reece bullshtting heavy at 4:00 acting like he didnt know who Clint was and the whole situation tryin to downplay it
Naa I’m sorry but for Potter Payper to feel like he’s got a pass to say the n word is embarrassing. The word comes from the American slave trade toward first generation black African stolen from their homes. Potter payer is half related to white colonisers of North Africa. For him to feel like he’s is remotely black is ridiculous. He’s not mixed race, he isn’t even quarter cast. He is white there is no question or debate around that.
Reece is the one and only one.

Classic
I been listening from day 1 I remember the words which made me take him serious " nothing good comes from selling misery" and I knew this guy was legit and seen it all by the end of the freestyle. Had banger after banger and doesn't drop shit bars. Stayed true to his friends in incredible ways and putting loyalty before his career even sometimes showed the guys character. Pray he is in music for a long time and haters stay far from him.

@@wineandcotchtv I appreciate it, thank you for watching….
I like Corteiz (dont care about MDV) but... is it really "The Culture"? Or a stereotype of the culture? Does being black means being hood, wear balaclava, wear only trainers and tracksuits, talk (jamaican) slang, selling drug, doing crime? I see rich white kids wearing Corteiz and looking like they are in a drill video but they just bought the look and don't have to deal with the lifestyle. So, is that the culture? Are you not part of the culture because you can speak good English and don't want to look like the typical negro? Me, I don't think so, but you decide for you...
@@Kryssthealien I’m a little confused by the comment to be fair….but thanks for watching, culture is what essentially gives life to brands like Corteiz, culture doesn’t sit within any of those parameters it is the combination of all of them, everyone is a part of culture…..
@@DuttyCulture What I'm saying is "the hood", the only thing the black culture have to offer worldwide? I grew up like that and I made sure that my kids didn't.

cap. Man had jorja smith in his clothes straight away, already getting brand attention. Then even more access to more celebs. This is not the person to look up to, learn from karl kani, ed hardy or marc ecko instead, they done it without celebrity connections straight away
People get lucky dude, You can form connections aswell along the way. It’s about how you manoeuvre and how you deal with people.
@@Knines Depends on how you look at it, theres no cap, this channel isn’t knocking people down……those brands yes you can take something from them, but they aren’t current case studies…also not from the uk…
