I focus on books, spirituality, sciencemancy, the I Ching & my Hermetic Memory Wall. But basically it's notes for my kids about what I care about in case I get hit my bus.
I write a canna-graphic novel series based on Moby Dick called ‘Anandamide; or, the Cannabinoid’
(free sample in the LinkTree).
I run the world's most comprehensive free weekly canna-science newsletter: 'Cannabinoids & the People'.

Island! So great to see another as nuts about Aldous Huxley
Yep...i did enough RSO to put Godzilla in a coma ...and took it with walnuts and coconut oil which are the most absorbent of all fats MCT coconut oil ..LCT with walnuts and still a big nothing burger...But 1 bong rip and im cooked
i love this book for real
I was just talking about mass hysteria this morning on my run through the snowy woods. It certainly is in our nature to believe things that seem real but aren't. But I don't want to study any more of the darkness...the light is so much more alluring.
Shout out to Project Guttenberg! Thanks for sharing about this book-adding to my list.
That's what I did this morning, walked down the side of a mountain on no path. Stumbled on to a little camo hunting shelter in the middle of the woods. Was grateful I didn't find a dead guy inside...or someone looking to make me dead. Life is so good!
I'd really like to look at Touch the Earth. Remember that book of poetry, I Touch the Earth and the Earth Touches Me?
As you wish....! I will put find that before your next trip & put it on the 'Ned Pelger Opening the Mind Pile of Books to Explore for Edification' And yes, that was one lovely poetry book!
I never knew Homer Simpson wrote the Illiad! Learn new things every day.
🔥🔥🔥
Wonderful stuff!
What an experience!
I read both these for the first time in 2024 and really enjoyed them. I never really liked science fiction but these were amazing.
Great stories and insights.
I was also enthralled with Black Elk Speaks as a young person. I seem to recall that Black Elk was also a Catholic which validated for me that we can contain multiple spiritualties. Thanks for sharing the other books, will check those out for sure. Take care!
Sometimes nature don't make sense. Male humans are still able to produce sperm until their 80s/death but most likely they can't get it up to 'pass down genes' and all men produce sperm until the end of their lives even if they arent able to get a female to reproduce. So here's my theory: Being able to stop birthing is a survival strategy for the female woman, basically, as an individual. Pregnancy and Giving birth is damaging to the body and has a very high risk of mortality. Female humans can have a pregnancy per year and can even generate more than one offspring per pregnancy so it's not like their fertile life isn't enough to pass down their genes. This being said being able to stop getting pregnant and giving birth is a biological survival mechanism. The "grandmother theory" it's a survival mechanism in a way that humans are a social species and need to be useful to the group to be able to survive. Post-menopausal human females can keep their position in the group by passing down knowledge and leading the group (wisdom comes with age). Plus: without the help of medicine women would be dying way more. Before the advances in medicine women who didn't have children or had few children were more likely to live longer and healthier lives. Ex: Queen Elizabeth (also able to keep herself in power longer) and Nuns.
Granted I don't have a lot of depth in this department, but I'd suggest that one may NOT be looking for malevolent entities but that doesn't mean they're not looking to attach to a person. Therein lies the question, "do they attach to only those who are unconscious, spiritually vulnerable and constitutionally weak?". Given the thrust of your thoughts you share here, it suggests that there are ways a person can protect themselves from becoming, if you will, a victim.
How about I have no Mouth, but I must Scream? Its a pretty Interesting story that got turned into a Video game
Oh man. That one is almost too hard to recommend. It was in my first ever collection of sci-fi short stories & it's still seared into my memory. Good call. Thanks
a completely random video recommendation to me, based on the Buddhism keyword no doubt. Not sure what the aim of this re-sorting is, (clearly just about all these books would be of interest to anyone with an interest in Tibetan religious practice, with a fairly strong emphasis on Kagyu / Nyingma ?) but personally i suggest the "dream yoga" book in particular belongs with the other books on Mahamudra / Dzogchen ... looks like a fun exercise none the less ...
How about vitiligo?
What a fascinating question. Trees down vs ground up theories. Jump and jump and then realize, "Hey, look Mom, I can fly!" I'm looking forward to that and practice a bit every day.
20 years ago!?! How can that be?
@@nedpelger not exactly sure what I said because I only speedwatched the video to make sure it didn't have any errors...
I got to know this book from a Taiwanese public figure and tried to know what it was about , thanks for talking about this book
Those dang puddin' thieves!
Plot twist! Our heros stole the pudding in the first place...
I wonder how many of these books were actually sold? (As many were banned- I’m so old I remember those times and sadly, banning books has crept back into our society)
I love hearing about the CIA’s involvement with dru*s during the Vietnam war. Huxley and Hollywood sounds wonderful too. Maybe you could sell some? Kesey was a wrestler? Is that code?
I may need to visit! Thanks Uncle Buck💙
Would love it MK! Bring the kid & the hubby...
Love love love 💕.
Ken Kesey was a wrestler? I just checked and he almost made the 1956 Olympic wresting team. So cool. I'll read more of his work just based on that.
@@nedpelger he is a helluva writer. Not just the drug stuff. He had talent & worked at it
I love your assistant!

I’m gonna buy this! What else is on your children’s bookshelf? I’m curious because I love when the greats write stories that are acceptable for children. I have some Clarice Lispector stories for children in my library. Hopefully I can set my future kids up to read this great stuff
@@Opheliainwater wow. World's most important Jewish writer since Kafka? Wonderful. What children's books of hers would you start with? On my end, check out my children's lit playlist on here. I think I have a good number of entries
This is a great video Lex. You are thinking and synthesizing at a level not many folks work at. Keep up the good work!
Presently working through this book. Not light reading. Hoping to learn something of tummo. What a treasure trove of books you inherited. Would love to have met your Uncle Buck.
This is such fascinating stuff. How this all becomes useful isn't clear yet, but I believe it will be crazy useful in the fairly near future.
i thought israelis hit dabs off iron domeless nails. idk how i can still joke about this.
I didn't know barnacles were beetles. Maybe we are beetles too? I loved the Darwin quote about hating barnacles.
Thanks for sharing. Loved this!
Well, that almost convinces me to try Ovid. We'll see...
Tarot is a universal language. I don't believe I am particularly drawn to this deck, but I'll see if a can find a flip through video. Thanks
You should wear earplugs so all that knowing don't run out your ears.
World religion is such an amazing topic to tackle. Religion (or lack of religion) is such a deep and personal part of individuals and individuals coming together. I’ve been reading about Mormonism lately- Mormons are such nice people. Did you know that during the late 1980’s and 90’s, and early 2000’s, companies on Wall StreetStreet actually sought out Mormons to work as brokers? Because they are HONEST (with rare exception) when working for a corporation. In their own entrepreneurial endeavors- now that’s different. lol. Interesting people. They have a high % of successful Wall Street sales people compared to ANY religion. They also have a high % of sitting seats in politics- a much higher percentage than any other religion. Interesting
who was the guy in the opening video?
A TikTok creator I had linked in the original video. Sorry. These are backups of old vids in case my TT ever blows up. But on there, he's @mor10web or you can see his site mor10.com/
What a beautiful poem.
I love that idea that limited explaining is key. The explaining for me tends to build ego, not reduce it.
I love this, thanks 😊
My conclusion would have had some hari-kari component to the story.
" I'm usually high and I like pretty things." -same! This is also great for the adhd gremlin.
